I was a level 10 cool toned blonde my entire life before I let Sara do something out of my comfort zone and make me a red head! She is always able to accomplish my vision and her artistry is unmatched. I highly reccomend BC and specifically Sara. I have a hard time giving up control, however when I tell Sara "do whatever you want!" She ALWAYS delivers something better than I would have come up with on my own. Seems like a well run salon. I was able to get a walk in on a Saturday. It was very busy, but there was control to the chaos - which is always a good sign to me. Theresa gave me a fresh cut (much needed) with layers and brought me back to my dark hair after years of trying out different blonde balayage styles. I've been there three time with great results, I got my hair coloured and trimmed and my daughter got a hair cut. Very very happy with Theresa. However I made an appointment door last Friday at 11:15, got a voice message asking me to change to 12:30 and when I called to agree they changed me again to 1:30!! I could not be there at 1:30 and have to reschedule (I had an important event on Saturday and had to go with my unkept messy hair!) We reschedule for Wednesday at 4:45pm, and then I get a confirmation for 5:45 pm which does not work for me. I called to let them know about the mistake in the appointment time (their mistake) and the man answering the phone was terribly rude and just said the appointment was at 5:45 and there's nothing he could do about it. I wish I had Theresa's direct contact number in order to avoid that dreadful man. read more

I would not recommend going to this salon during the pandemic. BC Salon in Morristown placed me with a stylist that was only wearing a face shield and refused to wear a mask AFTER I had called in advance to make sure that precaution was in place. Thanks to the stylist for claiming that SHE just "wasn't comfortable" wearing the mask while she was going to be less than a foot from my face. Guess I will find a new salon to get my haircut. It's been over a month since my appointment at the salon, and I'm still very happy with the results! I had been growing out my hair for ten years without getting it professionally done, and last spring I gave myself some makeshift bangs I soon regretted after. I was disappointed by my experience at BC Salon. I went in for a cut and color a few weeks ago. The salon was moderately busy, but the services I received were rushed and sloppy. Fours hours after I left the salon, my scalp was burning because the color was not properly washed out. My finger tips were black from simply running my hands through the back of my hair. My hair was clumped with dye and I had stains in my ears, on my forehead, and on the back of my neck. I showered and the water ran black. My haircut was equally disappointing. The stylist didn't ask questions and didn't cut according to where I part my hair. My bangs don't fall right now. She didn't check the cut afterwards and sections are not even. What surprises me the most is that she ignored the heavy dye that was left in my hair. She cut around it rather than suggesting a second wash. There are plenty of other salons in Morristown. BC Salon will not get my return business. read more

Well, $200 later (without a haircut or blowout), my (full) highlights look like they were done at least a few weeks ago instead of yesterday. The colorist was knowledgeable but as I am looking closer now at my hairline, it does not even look like I had anything done. The highlights are about 1/8 inch or more away from my roots already... Seriously so disappointed. I have NEVER paid so much for highlights in my life and I went to BC Salon thinking it was a reputable place after being told about it. Since I left with my hair wet and only had a piece dried, it looked good in that one spot.. after blow drying myself I'm just so appalled. Usually I'm not one to write a review like this but I really just can't get over the cost for what my hair looks like. Just throwing this out there - Depasquale, the salon/spa in the area known for being expensive and super high-end, does not even charge $200 with the highest, most experienced stylist there. I'm just so confused. The 1 Star is for the clean salon and somewhat fast service (I was out in about 2 hours and 40 mins, which for my hair processing is reasonable). No parking lot, look for on street parking (1.5 hour limit) or the 2 public lots nearby (Pay at the machine). read more

My review pertains to Sandra, BC's eyebrow sculptor. I was living at my parents' house in the area last September when I first heard of BC Salon. I was sick of the many nail salons - which are abundant in Morris County - that provided eyebrow waxing for a cheap price, but with no experience behind them. I had even left a few with misshapen brows and wax still on my forehead. Sandra is THE premier New Jersey eyebrow waxer I have come to know and love. My mother, who currently lives overseas, won't even touch her eyebrows now until she comes back to Morristown and can visit Sandra. Her expertise, knowledge and sophistication shows when you see your perfectly sculpted eyebrows. I have very sensitive skin and usually get bumps after waxing, but not with Sandra. She is not only an excellent eyebrow technician, but a lovely presence. Exactly what was needed in the burbs. My eyebrows actually have shape now and a much more sophisticated look. You can go to the factory nail salons that are all over Morristown and the nearby towns if you want cheap under-10-dollar-eyebrow-waxing, but you will be getting exactly what you pay for - a cheap job. If you truly take pride in your aesthetic maintenance, you will see Sandra for your eyebrows. I now live in Philly, but will come back to Morristown just to see her! Excellent experience! read more

Came to BC thru word of mouth re: Holly. I was really in need of a root touch up, and was suffering from striped hair from a bad highlighting session. Holly totally matched my natural color and evened out and warmed up my highlights. And she was fast! No more color correction for me, it's Holly from the start now! I also got waxed at BC (by Holly as well). Wax room is large, private, and clean. Definitely recommend this salon and Holly! Update: Brought my daughter in for a haircut, and she was treated like a princess. Holly took great care of her and gave her a great haircut. I think my daughter is hooked now! read more

I last reviewed BC Salon in 2015, but I thought an update may be in order. I am there every week for a blow out from Theresa (it's my one luxury), so I think I have a unique perspective on how the salon operates and the quality of the staff. Amber has been doing my color for years and people often ask where I get my hair done! Since I am there regularly, I see all the other stylists and staff at my weekly visit, so I know how they treat their clients and what they specialize in. They have a very high retention rate of happy clients who would not think of going anywhere else and, if it is your first visit they will make sure that you have a great experience. Last week they did a great kindness for me. My husband who has been hospitalized and is still at a rehab center needed his hair washed. He is on chemo but has not lost his hair and has always taken great pride in his appearance. I asked if I could bring him in for a shampoo and despite his current frailty he was treated with dignity and respect. After a wonderful double wash, special conditioner, and a great scalp massage from Kim, they would not take any money for the service - it was a gift to him from them and my husband was very moved. read more

In my attempt to find a new hair stylist having just moved to the area, I tried this place based on previous reviews. The lady who took my appointment mentioned I would get my parking taking care of, but that turned out to be only for color. Weird they wouldn't know that when they booked my appointment for just a haircut. Not significant since we're talking a couple $ but I would stand by what you say next time. My stylist was very nice and took their time to cut my hair but for the price I paid I expected something closer to the style I asked for. Unfortunately didn't get anywhere near there and my hair got chopped way too short. I know it'll grow but it was an expensive experience.Guess this is not the salon for me. read more

I've lived in Morristown for about 6 months now and I've finally found my salon! My experience here was amazing, all the way from my first phone call down to my actual hair. First off, I called the night before to get a cut and color and they were able to get me in the next day. This was very surprising, considering I was a dark, red haired who wanted to go blonde. But sure enough the employee on the phone was willing to work with what I wanted in the time frame I wanted to get me an appointment. When I got to the salon everyone was nice and friendly. Jamie did my hair and spent a lot of time and effort on it. Because I wanted to go from dark to light and red is a hard color to take out, she didn't want to bleach my hair, but she worked so well with it. She was fun to talk to, kept me updated throughout the hair dying process, and my hair came out amazing! She got all of the red out, lightened my hair and put some killer highlights in. They even let me order lunch with them because I was starving! I would recommend this salon to everyone in the area and I definitely plan on being a loyal customer! read more

Cara & Billy~The Dynamic Duo! Wow! Went to BC Salon on a whim. After salon shopping for over two years, searching for someone to color my thick, wavy hair the perfect red, I stumbled upon BC. Believe me, I had to "kiss alot of frogs" to find Cara! She knocked the color out of the ballpark! The red is stunning, just right for my skin tone. Red is truly her specialty. Then, the bonus part...after my color was done, Cara suggested I talk to Billy about a future cut. (He was booked for the day) Turns out, Bily had a few mins. so he gave me a FANTASTIC cut! Such a great experience. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly, they have an amazing YELP deal, and parking is not a problem (they fed my meter!) I was referred to her by a friend who has gorgeous hair and I wanted the same, and boy did Andrea deliver! The girl just has a knack for hair, like she was just born to do it! My sister in law also had her hair done with her and it looked absolutely gorgeous after coloring her hair a deep red hue, adding some layers and side swept bangs, and styling her long locks beautifully. I went here in August based on the reviews and the fact that there was a Yelp deal. My regular stylist was on maternity leave so I decided to try a new place and I think I may stick with BC Salon. Andrea is a fantastic stylist. I have long hair and she trimmed and styled my hair exactly how I wanted it and it looked great. The entire staff is very professional, friendly, and accommodating. Got hair and makeup done here. Everyone treated us well and it was a good experience. Prices were on par with surrounding salons. Manager worked with us despite last minute appointments. Used a yelp deal. Overall great experience and super nice stylists. Will mention, all the stylist are from Jersey, and probably most experienced with Jersey hairstyles and makeup styles. So it was a "When in Jersey..." moment for me lookin' at that mirror, especially since I am not from Jersey :). I'm not normally one to write a review but i felt i had to in this case. My hair grows incredibly fast and needs to be cut every two weeks. My last stylist that I had used for the past 8 years moved and it's been a nightmare ever since. I've had several stylists complain about how thick my hair is and how tough it is to cut! Well my prayers have been answered! BC Salon is Fantastic! A warm friendly staff and lovely atmosphere greet you as you enter this sanctuary. My stylist Theresa is a wonder to behold. I cannot say enough good things about this salon!! With any personal service I've never had an issue trying new places or people but after coming to BC and having my hair done by Andrea (for the past 10-15 yrs!!) I could NEVER take the risk of going anywhere else!! The salon in general is clean and inviting, and the receptionist always friendly warm and welcoming. As for Andrea- she is a blonde highlighting master!!! Andrea has never let me down ever! From partials, to full, baylage, low lights, trims, drastic cuts, blow outs, she's also amazing with updos!!! Andrea is patient, educated and honest with her feedback (if you have black hair and want to go platinum she'll be straight forward informing you the responsibilities and upkeep that comes with it).
