I was looking for a new salon to get a haircut this Friday and Bloom Morristown had great reviews. Lourna and Idalia had the most reviews but I was looking for something on Friday and Lourna was available. The bottom floor of the salon is where Lourna was stationed. I was promptly greeted by the staff and taken back to meet Lourna. At first I felt a little weird because we were in the men's barber room and secluded so I didn't feel like I was apart of the salon, but I came to quickly enjoy the appointment because of Lourna. She explained all the products she was using on me from start to finish. I liked that this salon has two kinds of products, Bumble and bumble and kerestase. She used the Kerestase products on me and I really liked how it felt on my hair. Her hair washing skills were AMAZING. The scalp massage she gave me was 10/10. Throughout the whole appointment, I didn't even notice I was getting my haircut because she was so gentle, even when blowing out my hair. Came in for a haircut today. Saturday- very busy, but the flow was maintained and everything was moving smoothly. They took me exactly on time. Salon: clean, modern/chic, well decorated and tasteful, good energy. They have 2 floors, which is cool. People: professional and kind, but also keep everything moving. Always checking in to see why you might be standing around. They are mindful of everyone's time (being both respectful to the stylists' and customers' time). Did not experience any snobbiness that can sometimes come from high end salons. My stylist: Clarissa was so fun! She has years of experience and has been at this specific salon for over 5+ years. She knows her stuff. Gave great recommendations for my hair. She gave me an excellent face frame haircut - I feel great! As an added bonus, she is a foodie and gave great restaurant suggestions! Love her. Highly recommend her. Parking: decent amount of street parking, but come early- especially on the weekends This is a high end salon with higher end prices due to the full salon experience. Bloom is the best salon in the area, hands down. Before coming here I only got my hair done in NYC but they are as good as any "famous" salon in NY. The quality of the work they do is superior because they train all of their stylists, even ones who have already worked in the industry. The vibe is cool and relaxed yet upbeat and I'm always offered a glass of wine. The owners of this salon are exceptional people and care very much about all of the little details. Booked a hair styling here weeks ago. Came in today, I had Aubrey. She seemed nice off the bat, and when I showed her pictures of what I wanted she waved me off and seemed confident in what she was going to do. I asked for classic, big, Farrah Fawcett 70s hair for a themed party I am attending. She finishes the curling and it is in no way whatsoever what I wanted. I can't even imagine how she saw the pictures I showed her and thought she did a good job at all. Extremely disappointed. She spent the entire time in a rush and said zero words to me, only to leave it like this. Couldn't be more upset, wasted $60 on what I could've done in my bathroom blindfolded. Update 2/25: The manager Samantha called me and apologized profusely which was totally the right thing to do and a smart business move. She offered me a free service next time I'm there and depending in how that goes I'll certainly be updating my rating. Hate to write a poor review during COVID but my experience today warranted it. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment as requested, and I called and couldn't get through. I called again and was placed on hold for a while, and was then informed that my stylist was not ready and that I should wait in the car and enter at my appointment time. Fine. I did so, and when I walked in, I was barely greeted and no one checked my temperature or asked me to sanitize my hands, as they said they would do when I made my appointment over the phone. I was so surprised as their COVID protocols seemed thorough when I initially called. I then waited another 15 minutes for my stylist, again, no one acknowledged me let alone apologized. Had an amazing experience at Bloom Studio ! My mom went to Bloom for my brother's wedding to get her hair / makeup done. She looked so beautiful and she raved about it so much I decided to come for a Balayage and cut. I was hesitant at first, since I haven't gotten my hair done in about three years but my Expectations were exceeded for sure. The salon itself is beautiful, very clean and offers beverages and snacks. Everyone I interacted with was polite and professional. Danielle was my stylist and she was super sweet and did an AMAZING job ! I'm in love and couldn't be more grateful - my hair has never looked better. I had my hair trimmed by Billy today and was absolutely thrilled by the results. It was a no fuss trim but with a lovely blow out... he was efficient and did exactly what I asked which I really appreciated. Sometimes I just need to sit quietly and let my hairstylist do their thing and that's exactly my experience with Billy today... this is the ideal salon experience for me honestly. Love this salon! For the longest time i had clip in extensions which did major damage to my hair. I heard of Katy from Bloom from a friend of a friend and went for a consult and i have ZERO regrets. It's been about a year now with my extensions and i love them more everyday, they make my life easier. I go back about every 8 weeks for maintainer. I came in for a blowout with Rylee and love how the blowout came out. The salon is stunning it looks brand new and it's so clean and the staff was very friendly. I am looking for a new salon and would be interested in getting my color and a cut here one day- just probably need a recommendation who is good with blonde hair. I couldn't believe how packed the upstairs floor was on the Thursday night with clients clearly this place is doing something right.Will definitely be back Update : I came here once I moved to town to try color, toner and a cut. I had done a lot of research on different stylists look at their Instagram and checking their work until I decided on one in my price point. When I went in for my appointment I was told that she level jumped and would be more expensive. It was still affordable so I figured I would try it. I was greeted by a young girl who looked like she was in school. I get it people need to learn however I was nervous to try someone new as it was and wanted the stylist to work on me. I know this salon lets the assistants do a lot of the work and helping but for me that's just not something I was looking for. Also it's crazy that everything is a la cart. The bill can really add up that way! I wanted a blowout with curls once my service was done and was told the curls were extra. Loyal customer of Bloom for several years. However, the way I have been treated in my last few experiences has left me searching for a new salon. Long version: I normally get haircut, color and balayage. Over the last few years I would go to the same stylist, while she was nice, I would not get the hair painting I was looking for - I would book a full balayage but she would only give me a partial. So, I tried to book with other colorist - I had coordinated with two stylist a cut and color & balayage, but found out the night before that the colorist was not going to be available for my appointment. As there was no one that was available for a balayage, I booked for a single process. I have never been treated so poorly, the person doing the color wasn't pleasant, she ended up handing me off to 3 people just for a single process application and wash. However, the person that wash my hair knotted it so badly the stylist that was cutting my hair had to send me back to get washed/conditioned again so my hair could be brushed out. Also, I was doing take-home kits during covid and the kits were not consistent in color so I now have various shades of brown banding in my hair - Currently looking for a salon that can perform a color correction. read more

I've been a client of Bloom for years and have had nothing but exceptional service all around. Today while I was at my appointment I witnessed another client yelling at the manager over 2 $40 gift cards that were 17 years old. One that had already been redeemed in 2007 and the other card was missing a tracking code which they were unable to see if this one had also been redeemed. This woman continued talking to the manager and staff very rudely and demanding she speak to the owner. She was very firm in the fact that she wanted this gift card honored and that's fine but what's not fine is belittling people. You don't talk to another human-being the way she did. The manager was being nothing but nice and apologetic and yet this woman kept pushing and pushing for the gift card to be honored. She was saying things like "you should be able to make the call without your boss's permission", "you know you can but just don't want to" "I know people that come here and they are going to hear about this She was relentless, very entitled and all about herself getting her way. The saying goes the customer is always right but in this instance I don't agree. I don't care who you are you should always be kind. Bloom did a good job trying to handle this situation. read more

I called 2 days before an out of town wedding... I last minute decided I wanted to do an updo for a black tie wedding we were going to. After looking at reviews I decided to call bloom. They thankfully were able to take me! I had Diana who's a level one beauty bar I believe. But don't let that fool you. She killed it. First the place is adorable. They ask if you need anything to drink and they even have cappuccinos. Everyone who worked there was so nice. When I checked out the lady (who I believe may be the owner) even remembered booking my appointment. Anyways back to Diana. I gave her 3 pictures. A messy side updo with lots of curls... and she totally delivered. It took about an hour which I was expecting. And afterwards she even gave me bobby pins to take in case any fell out due to my crazy dance moves on the dance floor which was so nice! However I didn't even need them! She did such a great job that only like one curl moved... and I was jumping up and down pretty crazily! Highly recommend this place! As many others have said, this place is a rare find. I am used to the high caliber work and professionalism of places in the city (in particular bumble & bumble). I chose to go to this place because of all the amazing reviews on Yelp. This place is very modern design. I called the same day and scheduled a wash and blow dry appointment. The scheduling was very seamless and I was surprised to see that 10am on a Thursday was an actually busy time at this place. It is a very convenient location and there's plenty around. Parking can be a bit tough but there was street parking as well garage parking where you could leave your car. As far as the experience itself, it was amazing. The ambience is gorgeous. It's 2 floors. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly. They have a menu of goodies and drinks to choose from- which is a nice touch. My hair stylist was great. She was a level 2 and it cost $34 to get a wash and blow dry which is not bad all. I am absolutely looking forward to revisiting this place soon! read more

I've gotten my hair cut at bloom three times with three different stylists, here is a break down of those experiences. First time- my hair was in rough shape from a bad cut I received from a stylist at another salon. I asked for the best stylist they had to correct it, the stylist took lots of time and did a good job but i ended up spending around $200 for just a haircut so I thought that was a little overpriced. Second time- I re-booked with the stylist from the first appointment, the day of my appointment I go to the salon and they tell me my stylist is sick and can't cut my hair. I was very annoyed they didn't call or leave a message and had me go all the way there for nothing. Third time- This time was my only time post covid and I hate leaving a negative review but my experience was terrible. First off, I tried to book an appointment for about two months while the salon was closed. Then once they reopened they told me they would send me an email with my appointment time, they never did so I ended up not getting an appointment until I called the salon a month later. The day of my appointment came and my appointment was at 9pm. I showed up 15 minutes early like they requested and it was raining. I checked in and the receptionist proceeded to make me wait outside in the rain for 15 minutes even though there was pretty much no one in the salon. Finally they let me in the salon and the stylist cuts my hair, they receptionist comes up stairs to rush both me and the stylist and has me pay prior to my haircut being completed. Once I was finished there was no one at the front desk to break my change for the tip so I ended up having to leave a $20 tip which was way too much considering I just got a trim. The end result was paying $100 for the most mediocre haircut i've ever received and the worst service i've ever had at a hair salon. Safe to say I won't be returning. Overall nice aesthetic salon but way over priced and horrible customer service. read more

I has the fortune to get a haircut from Gia 3 years ago, and will never go to anyone else. Her style, her esthetic, he experience make her one the best and most professional stylists at Bloom. But it's her connection and care for her clients, that make her soo special. I just went in today with a specific idea and after a detailed evaluation, I'm so glad I went with Gia's recommendations. Updating my review...this salon has been my go to spot for eyebrows since I've found it. after I had a baby i was told they have a "no children policy" which I'm extremely taken back by. For a 15 minute appointment I don't see what the issue is in taking a baby that doesn't even walk or crawl yet... I will not be back because unfortunately I don't have the luxury of child care as a SAHM with no family here. Totally being honest ....the processing has dried my fine hair, I still see the dark hair in the back & the cut is making my hair look flyaway and dry. I explained to the hairdresser how my thin hair has to be cut and no one seemed to listen. Your salon is beautiful and the service is very attentive; as it should be for the cost of highlight and cut. All of us have different types of hair and in such a high end salon I was hoping for professional advice on "my type" of hair. After I posted my review, I received a call to explain exactly what happened at my initial visit. She was very accommodating and understood where my frustrations came from. Consequently, she asked for me to give it another shot. I had my appointment for a cut and color on Saturday with Allison. Both she and her assistant were very lovely. They did a great job with the service. The salon is beautiful, no doubt. The stylists are very attending. My only comment would be about the front desk. When checking out, it was still disorganized, and found the receptionist not friendly or bubbly. More rushing to get me out because I was one of the last clients of the night. Good thing I was not greeted by her because it would have set the tone of my experience. All in all, I definitely will be back to see Allison, and I am grateful I gave it another shot. I have only lived in Morristown a relatively short time and continued traveling back to my home on Long Island to get my hair cut. I happily used Bloom salon for excellent color with London and frequent blowouts from a talented staff. But yesterday I had my first haircut with Gia. And there will be no turning back to Long Island! She is extremely talented and finally transformed me out of a dated bob that I had been wearing for much too long. My hair has shape and movement and I feel great about how I look and great about recommending her to you who read this post.
