Was told it had "jumped time" and needed an entire new engine replacement or they could trash it for me. Towed it home and got a second opinion. Absolutely nothing about the engine was showing up with a diagnostic scanner and turns out only needed a sensor replaced. I literally paid less for the sensor part than what Motorworks charged me for a diagnostic fee. Car is running again without an engine replacement. I feel like this was either fraud and or incompetence.

He said he wouldn't, a year later I find out that he reported it to insurance and carfax. If I wanted to file a claim through insurance, I would have gone that route. Honestly at this point, I should have just gone through the insurance company because it's now on file and I paid out of pocket. We found Jordan through his self-advertising on Facebook when he first opened his mobile business. The first maintenance we scheduled on my wife's car went smooth. The convenience of having someone come to us for a service was enticing. After that, it became very difficult get in touch with him to schedule service. He would eventually reply after multiple attempts on our part. The two repair visits he performed for us ended up with one needing to be re-done by him because he used cheaper parts, and the second I had someone else re-do 3 months after because it looked like one of the parts that was supposedly replaced apparently was not replaced at all and failed.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS CREEP:…read more I went to Meineke this morning for an emissions test. My advanced scanner showed the check engine light off and all monitors were online except for one, due to me installing two new O2 sensors on the car. In this condition the car would have passed emissions under CT law. When I exited the car at Meineke the check engine light was off, but apparently it turned on when the owner got into the car and started it (two on off key cycles). If he was a decent guy, and not an a$$hole, he would have walked in and warned me that the car would fail because the check engine light had turned on rather than testing it knowing it would fail. I guess he needed the 20 bucks!! The reason the check engine light turned on was because it was still warming up (171 F vs 206 F) and a minor voltage fluctuation occurred which triggered a 5088 code (a comment headache with all BMWs) causing the car to fail due to a voltage fluctuation. Yes, I know that I can go back for a free retest=, but F*** this place. If he is that desperate for the $20 bucks he can have it. I'll go elsewhere later today to have the car tested again, ensuring the car is warmed up. REMEMBER YOU WERE WARNED!!!!!
