My youngest niece had her 9th Birthday party here yesterday, it was an emoji painting theme, and it was a blast for the kids and the adults who attended. The shop is very clean, well organized, and appointed with all supplies necessary to unleash your inner Picasso. The staff was helpful, making sure each little artist created their masterpiece to their liking. The Sparkle Factory will delight princesses and princes of all ages, and is a great photo op. The children had a super time during their "parade" of paintings, eating cupcakes, singing "Happy Birthday," playing staff-led games while their canvases dried, and celebrating her last single digit (sniff sniff) Birthday. They also offer adult parties - BYOB, if you choose - and have a variety of mediums you can choose to paint. I'm thinking a GNO wine glass painting party is in our very near future. They have Comedy nights, and other special events, too. We've been to different venues for her past three birthdays, and this is by far my favorite. Just had both my son's birthday party here and I thought everything was just great. Sandra and her assistant were so very kind, prepared and entertaining with everyone. The kids were on the young side: 2-5 but everyone got a chance to paint and sing and play. We did the birthday package that was $250 and i ordered pizza from around the corner MOD pizza and brought in a yummy Whole Foods cake. I chose this route for their friend birthday party because having a birthday in August in Phoenix means you probably want to stay indoors and since i know these group friends well, art is a very fun and creative outlet for all that preschool energy! There place itself is very creative, and the kids enjoyed the story time, songs, marching, painting, and of course lunch and cake. When i called to ask questions about how their packages worked, Sandra had such a great attitude and she was very warm with a 'can do' spirit that convinced me this would be a great spot for our party. I liked that it could be all kids and their parents and i wouldn't have to find ways to entertain the kiddos because the studio has plenty to entertain them. I think i will be back and maybe plan a painting night with some mommy friends or my sister's.. read more

I was there several weeks ago with my sister and a friend of hers for the "ladies night out" and I only went because my sister wanted me to go. I was not to enthusiastic but I went and I'm glad I did. What I found was a lot of fun. Sandra was fantastic and amazingly engaging in her love of art and teaching us how to paint, and how its all about shapes, and to get me to paint my first canvas. I walked around the studio and looked at all the artwork created by kids awaiting a pick up and thought it was amazing the programs the for kids and the different programs for adults. I decided on painting two birds on a branch, which is presently proudly hanging in my office, and was shown how to draw the figures and mix my paints for the colors I wanted and was encouraged in getting the look I want. Sandra was very encouraging. Sandra even fixed my painting when my sister decided to "play a joke" and did a smiley face on one of my birds. I was not a happy camper but Sandra made it all better and I was able to finish my "masterpiece". I had a great time and I think all of you would too. Especially for kids. 5 stars for kid parties!!! We had our 5 year olds birthday party here and they were so great with the kids. They kept them busy with games and fun things while the paint dried and they managed to make all the paintings look fantastic with a few touch ups and outlines after the kids finished. It's BYOB so we enjoyed mimosas with all the parents as our little artists painted. After they finished they marched around the plaza to showcase their artwork which the kids loved. Many of our friends commented that this was the best party they had been to. I've also been to Be an Artist to paint wine glasses with girlfriends and I've attended a comedy night. I've had a great experience all around. This place is a gem and we are so lucky to have it close to home! read more

This place is awesome! Just stepping in you get a breeze of inspiration! We had my daughters 9th birthday party here and all her friends and she had an incredible time! I highly recommend you stop by and talk to Sandy or Kristie. They were around with the kids taking care of brushes and supplies and guidance when needed. Sandra and her assistant are AMAZING! They lead a team builder for us that was so much fun. It was perfect and everyone enjoyed it so much. We painted a desert sunset and it was so much fun to see everyone's different interpretations. Sandra and Christine provided great instruction that made us all feel like professional painters. They were so professional and had everything we needed to have a fun break from work together. If I could give them more stars I would. My daughter just celebrated her 9th birthday at Be an Artist and we had a great time! We'd attended a couple of parties here and she really enjoyed them, too. Sandy and staff were so friendly and easy to work with. I'm a teacher and I know how challenging it can be to manage a group of kids doing a hands-on project. This is not just for kids! My husband & I arrived during the open studio time yesterday afternoon. While my husband did a free handed painting, I elected to use one of their MANY traceable patterns for my canvas. We received individualized attention and our instructor was so friendly, talented and extremely helpful. There is music playing in the background which helps you to focus and enjoy creating. I am not an artist by any stretch, but I have to say that I absolutely love this place. They have lots of community events such a standup comedy nights, and tons of kid centric activities. Sandra has left no stone unturned when it comes to promoting kids to tap into their creative sides. From the local leprechaun that lives there, to the art lessons, to the karaoke, it is a creative playground without parallel. She is probably the most creative, enthusiastic person I have ever met. I don't know what I would do without this place in the summer when it is so darn hot here. I have a feeling I will be there just as much in the winter. read more
