Despite all these differences the job always seems to get done right "Steve" has the thickest accent and you may not understand him all the time - but he will understand you. Just explain carefully exactly what you want and he will make it happen - on time, on budget, and at a fair price. We had a substantial and rather nightmarish remodel done of the house, but the replacement of the roof was a total breeze. Neat and tidy, overcoming some obstacles, and ne'er a single leak. In some some subsequent work, Steve and his posse were there in a couple of days and performed the work at very reasonable prices. They even took pity when someone STOLE the copper downspout and replaced the pipe for labor-only - and secured it so no one could STEAL it again! Can't argue with that!

The rain has not yet come this season but AMAC was the only vendor that ran a hose and deluged the slider after making a patch. The deluge did not enter the bedroom. My fingers are crossed. Since they were in the house already and since my bedroom was tore up to get at the inside of the ceiling and with the curtains all open the carpet really showed its age and I had been considering having a wood floor put in so in for a penny in for a pound and I requested a quote and it was reasonable. They asked if I'd like to procure the materials so as to save the markup and I have a stout ride so spent a day at all the Lumber Liquidators in the Bay Area for as none seem to have everything you need in stock at the same location and 1,000 pounds of floor schlepped from the garage to my living space what a workout and I was ready for them and happy I saved 500 clams of markup. Because of certain details the job took twice as long as I expected. I just gave them my keys and got used to wondering where my bed would be tonight as they moved it from one place to another each day. Baudelia, the service rep who put up with my incessant whining was awesome and as soon as she realized I needed constant updates she gave them without having to be asked. And. Even though the job took longer than they anticipated they honored their original estimate no questions asked. The men in my house over the summer months were courteous, diligent and friendly. Their work when it was finished gave my space a much needed upgrade. Even now two months after they finished when I walk down the stairs they did into the room they did I smile. My previous contractor had disappeared after demo (no calls, no texts for over a month, left their tools behind). Dan put together a detailed estimate and took the time to explain and talk through different options for the things that needed to be done. Throughout the project, he was prompt, communicative, and fair. Sterling and Phil came in and tackled all the quirks of a 100 year old house with experience and humor. When there were additional challenges (previous homeowner had screwed sheetrock over plaster in some places so the walls and ceiling were uneven, counters were not square or level, filled mismatched molding joints with putty) - they took the time to fix the old work and redo it correctly.
