Dr. Julie Bosserman is an amazing veterinarian. We sought her help with our elder dog who was crying in discomfort and pain. Over a period of three weeks we consulted with Julie and at her recommendation a local Vet Hospital. Two vets at hospital, one renowned, could see nothing requiring surgery and chalked it up to old age, arthritis, and overly anxious owners. The behaviors continued and we asked Julie to take another look and showed her video of the behaviors. She came to our house again and spent almost two hours examining, watching, taking blood samples, and discussing. Finally, checked "one last thing." An inflamed vulva. My wife and I had been struggling for some time about what was best for our 18 yr old poodle whom we dearly loved. Dr. Julie Bosserman is one of a kind! I wish I knew her sooner. My dog became gravely ill over the weekend. I knew that he was going to have to be euthanized. And I knew it needed to happen at home. After never meeting Dr. Julie I called her on Monday morning. Without hesitation she rearranged her schedule to fit us in. She was able to walk in to my home (which was very chaotic at that moment) and immediately assess the situation. Dr. Julie quickly made my dog and me comfortable. She was patient, understanding and kind. She spent her precious time with us allowing me to say that last goodbye. After my beloved dog was at peace she helped me manage the required paperwork needed to have him cremated. Dr. Julie amazingly and gently picked up my 85 pound dog off of the floor by herself and carefully carried him to her vehicle. When the cremation was finished, she personally returned his ashes to my home. I've had several dogs and several vets in my lifetime. I can truly say Dr. Julie Bosserman is a very special kind of person. She has an excellent philosophy, a more than sound knowledge base, an adaptability and a wonderful sense of humor that make her invaluable as a veterinary practitioner. I can not say how grateful I am to have stumbled upon her when we needed her most. My only regret is that I will not be needing her veterinarian skills in the future. Honestly and quite frankly THE BEST. The Dog Whisperer of the Central Coast! I inherited my precious gift of a dog from my Mom when she passed. She unfortunately didn't socialize him for the first eight years of his life. He came to me a tad skittish with being around people. He is the toughest critic. Dr Bosserman came to our home after he developed some skin problems as is wont to his breed (Chinese Crested), and she was the Dog Whisperer of the Central Coast. He had to have various tests done which were rigorous for my poor little guy. He is VERY nervous around any new person in the very best of circumstances. He was so relaxed around her, that he actually licked her hand after she drew a blood sample. WTH. (He tried to bite someone who came to visit my home when they tried to pet him. No lie.) If my dog could write this review, he would say, "I don't appreciate being poked and prodded by anyone much less a stranger, but this nice person made me feel relaxed and loved so I kinda grinned and bore it!" This was so convenient. Dr. Bosserman has a fully equipped van. It is like a vet's office on wheels. She drove up to my house, and arrived at the exact time of our appointment. She cleaned my pet's teeth, she and gave her (small rodent) a check up. I don't have a cat or dog, but Dr. Bosserman provides care for both types of pets.
