I don't usually write reviews, but car buyers need to read this before dealing with Beach Auto Brokers. The customer service here is terrible. The staff lack communication skills and really only care about meeting their quota. I purchased a truck this past Saturday April 4th, 2020 but they told me I wouldn't be able to take the car home because it needs be state inspected. They shouldn't be selling a car in the first place if the car does NOT have a certificate of inspection. The issue here is the salesman who sold me the car said he'll personally deliver it by Monday if not by Tuesday. He doesn't call or text me on both days, I have to reach out and figure out what's taking so long. I decide to call the manager (Jim) and he gives a nasty attitude and sarcastic comments. I didn't get my car until a week later. May 1st, 2020 update: I have recently got my first bill in the letter and the paperwork was messed up and I am billed higher than what I signed up for. I also have some advice to you folks looking to buy a car. Have the car inspected by a mechanic. I failed to do that and now I found that I have a transmission cooler line, engine cooler line, and A/C condenser leak! The story about the status or why it had not been started changed every time. They finally started to process my title and tags today 12/7/22. Zero communication unless I called, with zero accountability or apologies for their lack of professionalism, communication, or poor customer service. I drove 45 minutes after work to view a vehicle that was advertised on their website, I had made an appointment with one of the salespeople to see that specific vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership the salesperson was not there and the truck was not there, when I walked into the dealership there were at least three employees in the office, all of whom sat on their cell phones and computers for a full 5 minutes before even acknowledging I was in the office. Spent $20K on a Jeep Grand Cherokee just to have to put more money into it. Bought a 2010 Nissan Altima from Car direct but the car was from Beach auto brokers. They call each other "sister lots". Both lots are not one to go to if you want a RELIABLE and FAIR priced vehicle. Not only was my vehicle over priced by almost double what it's Kelly Blue Book worth is, but my vehicle also had multiple issues. One major (and ILLEGAL) issue was it had an inspection sticker but there were multiple issues that definitely WOULDN'T have passed a LEGITIMATE inspection. I would go into all the NUMEROUS issues with the vehicle but I feel the reviews and the lawsuit against them should be enough to justify any and all negative (truthful) reviews. Be warned. I was impressed by the large number and variety of quality used vehicles on the lot. I interacted with Jim and several other members of the Beach Auto team. Everyone was professional and friendly. Armed with current data from the internet, I was well informed regarding the value of the vehicles I was looking at as well as the trade-in value of "Old Betsy". For reference it is worth about as much as dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The experience was top notch. No pressure, no arm wresting, no up-selling and fair and honest pricing. I was prepared to get my own financing, but the rates quoted by these guys from a local lender at the same interest rate I had been quoted by my own bank. When I called about a Craigslist posting they told me a price that was $4,000 higher than listed in the Ad. When I checked on their website it was listed only $500 higher than on Craigslist. I looked around and found they had listed it at the Craislist price on a few trader sites. They agreed to a price lower than the craislist ad over the phone but said final negotiations would be need to be done in person. Keeping in mind this is 1.5hr drive for me. At the dealer we were told the price the stated on the phone was an accident and that the Craig list price was an accident as well and they really are selling it for the price on their site that was $500 higher and $1,500 higher than we agreed on the phone. I would have still bought but the manger was super sleazy, kept calling my mom hunny. I'd recommend staying away from this place all together. read more

Sales reps were very helpful and friendly before buying a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. However, scheduling repairs promised at time of sale was difficult as salesmen would not return my phone calls. Once it was scheduled it took 3 times to make all of the repairs promised for one visit. Another thing that was promised was tires at their cost anytime in the future. I purchased my Jeep in August and already need new tires so I called to see what the price would be and got Rink to answer. However he has yet to follow up with me about the tires. Bottom line is I would not buy a car from this dealership and I highly discourage anyone else from doing so. read more

My son is deployed in the Navy. In May, 2015, he bought a Cadillac from Randy at this dealership. In July, my son drove the car to our home so it could be garaged during deployment. I went out to move the car to get something out of the garage. When I opened the car, I found the entire interior, leather seats, carpet doors and trunk, are completely covered in mold. I have spoken to several people who have said that the only way this could occur is if this car was submerged, or had a good amount of water inside. I decided to contact the salesman Randy to see what they would do about rectifying this issue. At first he said, "well I guess I sold him the car, that's what hey tell me." So I knew by that, it wasn't going to be good. After I explained who I was and about the mold, he said in no uncertain terms that I couldn't prove that that's from before he bought it. When I told him I would be contacting the Virginia State Attorney General's office, he said ,"Do what you gotta do." Then hung up on me. I am trying to resolve this without my son finding out.
