Carly has been highlighting my hair for nearly two years and I leave happy every time. I come from a family of hairdressers who live in another state so I am very picky. Carly is great at her profession, and fast. I also enjoy our conversations so much. She's a genuinely kind and good-hearted person. When you're spending nearly two hours in a room with someone, a good conversation is priceless. I can't recommend Carly enough!

Based on her response to my original review - it's clear to see her level of professionalism. I've also uploaded a screenshot of text conversation since she's fabricating and twisting things now, she stated she was totally comfortable with my hair type which is why I went forward with scheduling an appointment with her. And, while she was doing my hair she never told me any type of product she was using - I uploaded a pic of my hair to show the length and true color because it's nothing near what I asked to get done not because I can't afford any product like you're trying to insinuate honey. How can people feel comfortable coming back to fix things when she speaks like that. Again, she charged me $600 and "forgot" about my $50 deposit so BEWARE. She also sent me a PM saying I'm "stocking" her... I'm so confused lmao like I know it's the holidays and all but chill. I legit just wanted my hair done by a professional and Carly is not one if she's telling her other clients these stories yet removing her response, big yikes. Criticism is not welcomed here evidently. She now sends her friends to send me hate messages and forces them to update their reviews over my 1 bad review - so classy and professional. Someone is BIG MAD and insecure lol

It's been about 5 months now since I found Carly and thought I'd do a quick update. She brought me from super dark hair to blonde, and now we're exploring some colors! She's finally used to me wanting my hair different every time I come in. Today we did Violet Star on my hair and it's soo cool! Just enough of a change to feel different but not so much that I couldn't wear it to the office. It's a silver/blueish/"lavender color. Next time: maybe a rose gold?? Anyway, Carly is awesome, fast, and super fun to get to know! I still highly recommend her.

Carly is one of the most professional hairstylist I've met since I've lived here . That's been 6 years now! She saved my hair from fallen out., and me fallen apart. Two months A ago I was at my wits end. I had asked another hairdresser to put layers on my hair and the next thing I know she razored layers all over . It took a year to grow out and my hair was still lifeless and breaking . I had gone to other hairdressers and they colored my hair terribly and only trimmed the bottom of my hair. Not trusting anyone, I gave Beach Blonde Salon a try from all the great reviews and pics. Carly was a Godsend!! She made me feel calm and let me know that my hair was breaking because it needed to be reshaped all over not just the ends and gave me a hair routine with her Italian products that is Bar none!!! Literally just 2 months later I feel better about myself than ever! I cant thank you n enough Carly . You're the best hairdresser Ive ever had and Im Im 63!

Skilled and fast! Carly is an amazing colorist she understands exactly how bleach works and is able to get you the color, tone you want quickly so that you damage the hair less. Yea, she's among the more pricey but you get what you pay for and it's worth it if you can swing it! Since it was my first time she had me send a pic of current hair and an inspo photo of where I wanted to go color wise. She's very knowledgeable about hair and willing to give you a good strategy to take home with you so you maintain hair health -- but she is not pushy in selling product, in fact it's just there if you'd like to include. I was in & out in less than two hours (my hair had been processed before though so expect more for a single process). I'm dark brunette that always gets brassy. And again, SHE DID THIS IN UNDER 2 HOURS!! Adding a before pic because, despite being embarrassed, it shows off her skills!

Carly gets down with hair-especially blonde, but she can do just about anything, seriously. We worked together for several years and I always positioned myself next to her because I wanted to learn her ways! No one can do what she does, I swear. I am also a stylist and I now live in Orange County where there is a PLETHERA of stylists but I DONT CARE. I drive an hour and a half ( and I would drive further) because she is the only one I trust with my hair. I didn't do anything to my hair during the COVID shutdown and was in a rut. If I were one of the seven dwarfs I would have been called Frumpy. Carly made me look and feel amazing! I got partial highlights and a cut and I told her I don't think my hair has EVER looked this good! I get so many compliments and I feel more confident. I don't know how she does it, but she makes it happen!

What a fantastic first appointment with Carly at Beach Blonde! After 14 months of trying to get my hair to recover from a horrible color done by another stylist in my home town, Carly saved me! She works incredibly fast but doesn't cut any corners. Besides doing a wonderful highlight and cut, Carly was so friendly and fun. Had to find a new stylist. SO grateful to have found Carly at Beach Blonde Salon!! Booking the appointment was easy and even received an auto appt reminder which I need! Carly's suite is clean, organized and nicely decorated. Carly listened patiently to all my ideas and helped me finally decide on a new 'do. Love, love, love my hair! Carly, colored my hair, did a Brazilian Blowout and finished with a hair cut. I've had the Brazilian Blowout done twice before and was so disappointed in the results. My hair was fried afterwards. Completely different experience with Carly. My hair is soft and shiny and I'm so happy! She also listened when I asked for a minor trim. I luckily found Carly after having a color mishap at another salon. She did a great job correcting the color! During the visit we talked about extensions. Carly is amazing! Just got my hair colored and she blended my blonde and natural light brown perfectly. She was fast which I love because it's hard to sit in a chair for too long but at the same time was extremely thorough!! Had great attention to detail- she put the blonde in with the perfect pattern of how my hair goes to mix with my cowlick in the back. I am in love with the color-seriously my favorite I've ever had done. she blended it perfectly where it looks natural and she uses fantastic products as well! Can't say enough about the magic that Carly worked on my hair! I came in as a hot mess...with severely bleach blonde hair on the left side of my head and dark on the right side from another stylist who really botched my hair. After Showing her the pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like, she went to work fixing what the other stylist had gotten so terribly wrong. She is definitely is the real deal and knows what she's doing. Did I mention that she is also faassssttt! Instead of being in the chair for 3 hours, I was out the door with cut, color correction and style in half that time. Great job read more

Im extremely unhappy with the service I received. I got a brazillan blowout and after $300 and 3 hrs my hair looks no different. I contacted Carly and she offered to re do it or a different service at no additional cost. She is out of town and Im moving out of state and when I explained this to her I got no response. I spent alot of time and money and didnt get what I paid for and feel a professional would at least offer a partial refund. read more

Carly is amazing!! I moved out to SD from NYC and was desperately in need of a stylist with experience doing blonde highlights. I've had way too many bad experiences in the past to risk going to someone who isn't an expert because of how important it is to get it right the first time to avoid needing color correction in the future. Time and time again I would end up with stylists who take forever and can't manage their time effectively with the foils so I'd end up with varying shades of brassy orange/yellow. Carly looked at my hair and knew exactly what I needed, she paid attention to detail (she even made sure to get the little pieces around my face) and the color is a beautiful cool blonde with no brassiness and no orange/deep yellow tones. She doesn't push products and is clearly very knowledgeable in her field. I'm so happy I found her - don't look anywhere else! read more

Carly is a magician!! She lifted my dark brown/previously dyed black hair to a warm blonde balayage quicker than any hair stylist I've ever been to before. She specializes in blondes and it shows. I got a balayage on shoulder length hair and I also got extensions (that matched my new balayage PERFECTLY!!). It was my first time getting extensions done and she walked me through the care for them and the procedure! I had a lot of questions regarding the extensions especially because I am in the military and wanted to see how it would work in a bun and she offered plenty of tips and assurance from previous clients in my same situation. Last month, Carly did my hair and I couldn't be happier. I haven't had my hair blonde in close to 7 years as I am in the military and the upkeep can be a hassle. The other reason is because every hairstylist told me they would need to do my hair multiple times to get as much blonde blended in as I wanted in order to look more natural and not chunky... Carly did it in ONE shot! I did use the Groupon which was a great deal but I knew with the amount of hair I have, I would probably have to pay more. Carly quoted me the additional before we started, making sure I wanted to continue as well as explaining the price breakdown.... when she used more product than anticipated... she kept the price with what she quoted me! Also they bunched up at the scalp and were uncomfortable when I lied down. They didn't seem to be straightened up or evened out when I went in for the move up so I'm guessing that's why they got worse over time. Lastly, If you have an extension come out or need something fixed you will not get in right away. I tried messaging her twice with no call back. I found another salon and I'm very happy because they got me in next day.

I looked for months at different solutions, than I came upon Goddess Hair and talked to Lauren over the phone, she answered all of my questions and was genuinely concerned So it's been 8 weeks since I have had this hair system and I love it. It is different from G.L in many ways and took some getting used to. The hair has a different texture than human hair it's not as soft but it is better in so many ways. My hair doesn't tangle in it and break off that is the main reason why I love it so much. My hair is finally growing back, I am looking forward to the day we're I don't have to wear extensions and my body and hair is fully healed and healthy. (A gluten intolerance had left me with thin hair, I didn't know I had this intolerance, so I endeavor up getting G.L to thicken and lengthen my hair but it put me in a worse position) I think the service plan that Goddess Hair offers is brilliant! I get all of my cuts, colors, hair repair treatments and extensions reinstalled every 5-6 weeks for a monthly payment and it works out to be way less than what I was paying before for all of this!! The best part is that my hair is actually growing back and starting to look healthier already and it's only been 8 weeks. Also I knew with my long thick hair it would be extra cash when all done with the process but even then it was worth it. Met up with Karley, and hit it off right away. Not only is she a cool gal but knows what she's doing when it comes to hair.. I had an outdated ombre with a demi permanent root color.. She let me know she'll try her best to accomplish the soft blonde I'm aiming for considering their was a demi color on my hair. She worked magic! Carly's name was mentioned a few times and was given really good reviews. I decided to call to make an appointment with Carly and she was able to get me in that evening. I was really pleased with the shampoo and conditioner she used and my haircut turned out beautifully. I recently moved to California from FL and was nervous to find a new blonde artist but took a chance with her and she has never disappointed! I was worried about getting tape in extensions since I never have before, but she applied them effortlessly and they did not damage my hair at all. I just started to go to Carly just recently. And she is AMAZING! Very professional, and she will actually explain to you how your hair is and If a certain color will take. Which With me, for example I had red hair going into see Carly and I wanted blonde. She explained to me how the bleach could make my hair pink, and if I wanted blonde it would be a process. Every other salon I've talked to, said i could bleach my hair and it would be blonde, for a pretty penny. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Carly if you want to go blonde. Or any color for that matter! Carly is fabulous if you need a great style and color! My hair is fine and layered and I love blonde highlights. The problem I've had with other stylists is they always over process my hair and don't know how to point cut my layers. I end up getting chopped. Honestly, amazing. It's hard to find someone who can give you what you ask for, but I did today! She is absolutely amazing. Gave me the perfect blonde I had been trying so hard to get. She has a cute work space, and also has water for you! Usually it takes about 3 hours for someone to color my hair, but she did it in about an hour and 15 minutes, and it looks better than ever! He refunded my money, but no refund fixes this. I've since been to several other professional salons and spent $1,000's of dollars hoping for a miracle. Every one of them was devastated for me -- there was nothing they could do. I told the owner, Lauren, what happened. She said she'd talk to him. Then silence. No follow-up, nothing. The only person who stepped up? My longtime colorist, who offered me free haircuts and moisture treatments out of her own pocket. I couldn't let her pay for what the salon and Ryan should have made right themselves. Shame on Ryan and shame on the owners. If you're considering any chemical service here, run.

Decided to take a chance and went to Dolce in Carlsbad Village and David was my stylist. He hit the mark in every way! It was a risk as I was changing from my pandemic long hair to a new style. David spent a lot of time with me discussing what I wanted, looking at photos of me with other hairstyles as well as photos of what I had in mind. I felt so assured that he understood me and what would look best. He also said he would err on the conservative side and we could always do more. I am SOOOOOOO pleased with my new style! I was unhappy with my haircut and color. So, I asked some friends who they used and they mentioned Beach Shack in Carlsbad. Really appreciated her taking the time to listen to what I wanted and Kayleigh defintely came through. This salon is for all, and appreciated knowing the stylist are extremely talented and trained. I felt like she really did listen to my concerns, was gracious, genuinely wanted to make the situation right, and ensure that a similar situation didn't happen again in the future to someone else. I had already found a new stylist and redone my hair so a redo at Mod wasn't possible but my interaction with Casey did illustrate that she cares about the clients and sincerely does her very best to make sure they leave the salon happy.
