Based on her response to my original review - it's clear to see her level of professionalism. I've also uploaded a screenshot of text conversation since she's fabricating and twisting things now, she stated she was totally comfortable with my hair type which is why I went forward with scheduling an appointment with her. And, while she was doing my hair she never told me any type of product she was using - I uploaded a pic of my hair to show the length and true color because it's nothing near what I asked to get done not because I can't afford any product like you're trying to insinuate honey. How can people feel comfortable coming back to fix things when she speaks like that. Again, she charged me $600 and "forgot" about my $50 deposit so BEWARE. She also sent me a PM saying I'm "stocking" her... I'm so confused lmao like I know it's the holidays and all but chill. I legit just wanted my hair done by a professional and Carly is not one if she's telling her other clients these stories yet removing her response, big yikes. Criticism is not welcomed here evidently. She now sends her friends to send me hate messages and forces them to update their reviews over my 1 bad review - so classy and professional. Someone is BIG MAD and insecure lol

It's been about 5 months now since I found Carly and thought I'd do a quick update. She brought me from super dark hair to blonde, and now we're exploring some colors! She's finally used to me wanting my hair different every time I come in. Today we did Violet Star on my hair and it's soo cool! Just enough of a change to feel different but not so much that I couldn't wear it to the office. It's a silver/blueish/"lavender color. Next time: maybe a rose gold?? Anyway, Carly is awesome, fast, and super fun to get to know! I still highly recommend her.

Carly is one of the most professional hairstylist I've met since I've lived here . That's been 6 years now! She saved my hair from fallen out., and me fallen apart. Two months A ago I was at my wits end. I had asked another hairdresser to put layers on my hair and the next thing I know she razored layers all over . It took a year to grow out and my hair was still lifeless and breaking . I had gone to other hairdressers and they colored my hair terribly and only trimmed the bottom of my hair. Not trusting anyone, I gave Beach Blonde Salon a try from all the great reviews and pics. Carly was a Godsend!! She made me feel calm and let me know that my hair was breaking because it needed to be reshaped all over not just the ends and gave me a hair routine with her Italian products that is Bar none!!! Literally just 2 months later I feel better about myself than ever! I cant thank you n enough Carly . You're the best hairdresser Ive ever had and Im Im 63!

Skilled and fast! Carly is an amazing colorist she understands exactly how bleach works and is able to get you the color, tone you want quickly so that you damage the hair less. Yea, she's among the more pricey but you get what you pay for and it's worth it if you can swing it! Since it was my first time she had me send a pic of current hair and an inspo photo of where I wanted to go color wise. She's very knowledgeable about hair and willing to give you a good strategy to take home with you so you maintain hair health -- but she is not pushy in selling product, in fact it's just there if you'd like to include. I was in & out in less than two hours (my hair had been processed before though so expect more for a single process). I'm dark brunette that always gets brassy. And again, SHE DID THIS IN UNDER 2 HOURS!! Adding a before pic because, despite being embarrassed, it shows off her skills!

I have been going to Carly for over 8 years! She has done everything from blonde highlights, to blonde roots to correcting my own blonde mistakes! I have a very sensitive scalp and my effing luck I think I'm allergic to most bleach.. she found a bleach that doesn't hurt my head and is comfortable for me. She has also found a water base toner for me because that was literally the Worst part on my head. No one has gone out their way to find products for me and my sensitive scalp. She's awesome! I won't go anywhere else my blonde is always amazing:)

Carly gets down with hair-especially blonde, but she can do just about anything, seriously. We worked together for several years and I always positioned myself next to her because I wanted to learn her ways! No one can do what she does, I swear. I am also a stylist and I now live in Orange County where there is a PLETHERA of stylists but I DONT CARE. I drive an hour and a half ( and I would drive further) because she is the only one I trust with my hair. I didn't do anything to my hair during the COVID shutdown and was in a rut. If I were one of the seven dwarfs I would have been called Frumpy. Carly made me look and feel amazing! I got partial highlights and a cut and I told her I don't think my hair has EVER looked this good! I get so many compliments and I feel more confident. I don't know how she does it, but she makes it happen!

Carly was amazing and very personable during my appointment for my Balayage and trim. I had grown out red box dye in my hair and very choppy layers from a failed DIY haircut. I went to a previous hair stylist for frontal highlights who did not want to touch my hair with bleach again after seeing how it lifted, I told Carly about this and she told me after the process that my hair was actually very healthy and that she could even get my blonde if I wanted to in the future. She was incredibly fast and did an amazing job. The only thing that I wasn't completely satisfied with was that she told me I shouldn't use any other shampoo product on my hair as it will turn it orange (understandable), she recommend Olaplex to me because she was selling it in her salon and it works wonders but I simply can't afford it every month and was hoping she could give me a more affordable alternative. With that aside, I highly appreciate that she brought up aftercare with me or else I would have continued to use my regular drugstore shampoo and it would have ruined my hair. Currently using "Matrix Blue Shampoo for Brunettes" to keep it from turning orange, almost a month later and my hair still looks amazing! Thank you Carly, keep working your magic :) read more

Loved her! I had a really bad experience with bleach and needed help asap! I saw her reviews and contacted her!!! She actually said "I'm not putting anything on your hair until it grows out" . She was very patient and listened to my concerns and as much as I begged and pleaded to get rid of my roots , she convinced me to wait 14 days . I went in with hair so damaged and ugly that I thought I'd have to cut it all off and start over lol. I've always wanted blonde hair and decided to give it a try. The place I went too completely ruined it and left me looking like a hot mess!! Then here comes Carly and she's literally a saint. I don't usually get my hair done because I have bad experiences with hairdressera. Having said that, finding Carly has been the biggest blessing!!!! she's absolutely amazing as a person phenomenal as a hairdresser!!! She took me from my natural color which is an icky Brown to the most beautiful blonde.. the products she used on my hair made it feel like silk!! I feel so beautiful the transformation is unbelievable!!! And the best part is she's quick!!! My wife and I have been going to Carly for a few years now. It was so hard to find a stylist who could do my hair the way I wanted it. Carly always gets it right, and does it fast. My wife loves the style and color Carly suggested for her. Carly was able to find the right color of red that went well with my wife's skin tone. I needed a last-minute color correction and balayage touch up before traveling home to the Midwest for my best friend's wedding. I was looking for a good deal, so I looked at Groupons and read reviews extensively before deciding to make the 45 minute drive up to Oceanside to see Carly...I can tell you it was well worth it! The time I sat in her salon was less than my total commute time. What she did to my hair in an hour in ten minutes has taken stylists FOUR HOURS previously. I was amazed! It also cost me much less than I know my other blondie friends pay to get a refresh every few months. Will definitely be back to see Carly! Plus she's so friendly and made me feel super comfortable. read more

Guys, if you're busy with family and work, you appreciate flexibility and efficiency. Carly is a cool gal to visit and chat with. Plus, she gets the job done quick with time for shampoo and rinse. She has her own "salon within a salon", so the experience is personal, not shared with a bunch of people next to you. You don't hear all the gossip and BS in other strangers' lives. Give Carly a shot, it's worth it. I was raised by a hair dresser. Knowing how good my mom was, you definitely understand why people pay more and make the drive. You get what you pay for! read more

I went to Carly for the first time today, and if you want blonde hair where they don't miss the back and only make the front and sides look blonde, she's the one you want to go to! She is very knowledgeable and works fast, the blonde color is perfect! Full highlights and some low lights and the color is the best I have ever had. LOVE YOU CARLY!!! I'm not originally from San Diego and I've now been here 10 years. It's been really hard finding a hair stylist I can actually trust and that listens to her clients. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to different places in the hopes they would give me what I'm looking for only to be completely disappointed when I leave, never to go back. I love Carly, not only is she amazing at color correction but if she tells you she's only cutting off an inch, it's only an inch, and she's honest about what to expect. If it will take a few sessions she will let you know up front. I definitely found my hairdresser, it took a long time but it happened! Highly recommend, especially if looking for a color expert. read more

At 11:00 I was starting to get frustrated and was concerned I wasn't going to be seen soon. I then noticed my assigned stylist picked up a curling iron to begin curling her clients hair. I waited a few more minutes, just in case she wasn't going to be curling her entire head, and at 11:07 I had to walk up to the front desk and tell them I was leaving. The lady at the front desk seemed genuinely apologetic, but there was nothing that could really be done at that point. It's extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional to have a scheduled appointment run 40 min late. Update: The stylist also reached out directly via text to apologize and offer a complimentary service. This was very much appreciated. Thank you both for trying to rectify my experience. 4 stars for your efforts to address my concerns.

I was greeted and directed to check in using the iPad. After checking in, I took a seat on the bench and didn't have to wait long before being called. I was then brought to seat number 2 with Liam. Liam was very nice and welcoming. He helped push in my chair and offered me the drink menu, which I declined. At first, I felt I may not have clearly communicated my idea, as I was unsure and trying to decide on a design. I was initially hoping for a pink cat-eye look with a French tip, but I probably should have shown a reference photo sooner to explain what I meant. During prep, he was a bit rough with cuticle removal, but I didn't say anything at the time. Once the acrylic process began, he checked in with me often to make sure I was happy with the shape and design. When I expressed that I wanted a pinker tone, he was very accommodating and redid my index finger so it matched better, which I appreciated. I did feel the acrylic ended up quite thick, as two beads were used. I asked about it and he confirmed it would be filed down later, so I trusted the process at that point. Liam was also helpful in bringing over different color options, and I appreciated his patience as I was quite indecisive. I showed him a reference photo for a pink sparlkly French tip, and he brought over several similar sparkly options, but none fully matched what I was describing. When I asked what he recommended or whether a simpler pink tone with a French tip could be done instead, another technician nearby immediately responded to me to "just choose a color," which felt dismissive right after I had shown the reference photo. That same technician frequently interjected into the conversation and often responded to my questions in a defensive tone. This made me feel uncomfortable and made it harder to communicate my preferences clearly. I was eventually left feeling overwhelmed and ended up settling for an iridescent cat-eye design. I do wish Liam had been a bit more proactive in offering suggestions or helping guide me through options, as I was unsure of what would work best. I also felt quite anxious during the appointment, and I usually go to nail salons as a way to relax and treat myself, so it was difficult to fully enjoy the experience when I felt pressured while asking questions. I do like how my nails turned out, although they are quite thick and I personally prefer a thinner finish. I really wanted to like this place because the color selection is good and the location is very convenient for me, but I'm still unsure based on this experience.

Found Beach Blonde Hair on Groupon! A lil skeptical when purchasing a Groupon for your hair but let me say, it was totally worth it.. Also I knew with my long thick hair it would be extra cash when all done with the process but even then it was worth it. Met up with Karley, and hit it off right away. Not only is she a cool gal but knows what she's doing when it comes to hair.. I had an outdated ombre with a demi permanent root color.. She let me know she'll try her best to accomplish the soft blonde I'm aiming for considering their was a demi color on my hair. She worked magic! And might I add, it only took under 3 hours to accomplish!! World Record for my Italian thick ass hair! LOL.. I couldn't be more happy! I also made another appointment in a month! Can't wait!! Carly's name was mentioned a few times and was given really good reviews. I decided to call to make an appointment with Carly and she was able to get me in that evening. I was really pleased with the shampoo and conditioner she used and my haircut turned out beautifully. I would definitely recommend her to people I know and I will also be going back to her whenever I'm in town. If anyone is searching for the perfect blonde, GO TO CARLY!! I recently moved to California from FL and was nervous to find a new blonde artist but took a chance with her and she has never disappointed! I was worried about getting tape in extensions since I never have before, but she applied them effortlessly and they did not damage my hair at all. After a few months of having the extensions I decided to take them out and now go back to her every other month to keep my roots touched up blonde. On top of her great work she's so fast!! I just started to go to Carly just recently. And she is AMAZING! Very professional, and she will actually explain to you how your hair is and If a certain color will take. Which With me, for example I had red hair going into see Carly and I wanted blonde. She explained to me how the bleach could make my hair pink, and if I wanted blonde it would be a process. Every other salon I've talked to, said i could bleach my hair and it would be blonde, for a pretty penny. I HIGHLY recommend going to see Carly if you want to go blonde. Or any color for that matter! Carly is fabulous if you need a great style and color! My hair is fine and layered and I love blonde highlights. The problem I've had with other stylists is they always over process my hair and don't know how to point cut my layers. I end up getting chopped. Carly takes the time to look at pictures and colors so we both have the right idea of the color and cut I'm looking for .. Honestly, amazing. It's hard to find someone who can give you what you ask for, but I did today! She is absolutely amazing. Gave me the perfect blonde I had been trying so hard to get. She has a cute work space, and also has water for you! Usually it takes about 3 hours for someone to color my hair, but she did it in about an hour and 15 minutes, and it looks better than ever!
