The cashless system is truly a pain in butt. I don't keep cash in bank .. I only put cash in when I'm going to pay a bill. I do this, because I order a lot online and there have been many times when a vendor has taken out money that I did not OK . So now before I go for a tan I always put $60 in my bank account one time I completely forgot and I had to leave just to go put money in my account so I can come back bout 30 mins later the traffic on Deer Park Ave. is ridiculous. Today is my birthday so I went to treat myself to a tanning session which I had prepaid for 6 sessions and had 2 remaining. The girl wishes me a happy birthday and then tells me my last 2 sessions expired and "sorry, nothing I can do for you". I prepaid, these should not expire. This is not my home beach bum, but I was in the area for work and walked in. I had a coupon from my regular beach bum, and the girl at the counter had never seen it before. She was very helpful, patient and pleasant. She spoke with an employee from my normal location who told her which code to use, than double checked with her manager, and honored the coupon. The salon was clean and in order, Brianna was the sales associate and was up front and welcoming as soon as I walked in. I would recommend this salon!! read more

I've been doing the Mystic Tan for years now and happen to be out this way visiting friends so i stopped in this location. WOW what a nice store. The Mystic Room was large and even had a sink in it which i LOVED. The woman working there was sweet and helpful and even told me about some special i knew nothing about. Never been tanning before but wanted to get a base coat of color before I went on my cruise. The girls here were very nice and helped map out a coarse of action for me so I didnt burn on the tanning beds or on the cruise. I dont know if the price I got was a good deal or not since again I have never done tanning before... but either way it was worth the money based on their friendliness read more

Every time I come to this place there's always burned out bulbs in all the beds . When you report it to the receptionist, they say OK, I'll let maintenance know. One year later the same bulbs in the same machines are still out. It's not just one bulb, it's two or three per machine. Nobody cares, all they want is your money. Time to look for new place read more

I have not been here in a couple of years because I moved. I currently go to the one by me in Commack and I will say the customer service and beds are not comparable to this place. I miss this place dearly from the great customer service at the front desk to the beds and quality of a lasting tan. I happened to stop here because I was in the area and I am now considering ditching Commack for this place. Highly recommend! read more

This place is an absolute joke. Let me start off by saying all the beds need to be fixed. My boyfriend and I went and signed up for a month of tanning. His bed of course didn't work - the bulbs were broken, they were so busy that i had to use the stand up that creeked the entire time i was in there. We went back yesterday to find out that 2 of the beds in our level were broken, which left 2 because they said the one he used the first time was the next level up (which is incorrect because hes used the same bed at the plainview location which is amazing) So i chose to use the one bed that was left. so after 3 minutes of being in the bed that wouldn't heat up, i finally got out and told the girls that the bed wasn't working. They looked at me like i had 5 heads, and didn't know how to solve the problem. They both had poor customer service skills, just looked back and forth at each other saying what do i do? So they finally called the owner cause at this point i just wanted my money back. He of course didn't answer the phone after 2 times. Her response was "he wont answer cause im new, and he wants me to solve these problems on my own"? are you kidding me, that's so awful!!!!! i said this is a problem you cant solve, he needs to answer the calls. Finally i left and called my bank and disputed the charges. I went to an awesome salon and signed up and tanned with no issues. NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!! BTW - I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN A CALL BACK FROM THE OWNER. I CALLED CORPORATE AND MADE A FORMAL COMPLAINT. THIS IS BAD BUSINESS!!!! read more
