So I bought 50 min for $60 most recently and that suddenly expire for not coming. It's not as if I make an appt and don't show up. It's not like someone can't use the bed. I'm literally pre-paying and you're saying my money vanished. You literally take my money and bc I don't come frequently enough to cause skin cancer, my money somehow loses its value. The last package expired last week. $60 for 50 minutes (6 sessions) in the lowest level bed. Not only did my money just suddenly have no value when I went to buy a new package it was now $84 for 5 sessions. The front desk receptionist or tanologist said "well if you don't come we get to keep your money". Cmon Catherine. Gone are the days when your girls treated customers of 30 years with a smile and a morsel of respect. Left a message and asked Catherine the owner who is so nice in person to give me a call. I told her "please remove my number" as I am not the person she stated nor have I ever been to a tanning salon no less, in Islip. She told me to "drop the attitude" and then basically hung up on me. WTF Then I called back and she started apologizing for being a "bitch" to me. Ok, good start, I asked to speak to her manager or boss and she said they weren't around. I asked what time they'd be in and what time it was there as I am on the west coast. She told me it was 12pm. (Mind you it's 11:30 here at the time of the call) to which I replied "oh you're on the west coast too?" She replied yes and told me her manager would be in in 2 hours. I happened to google the phone number and was looking at the page that clearly reads WEST ISLIP, so I called Sabrina, if that's even her real name, out on her lie. She told me she wasn't allowed to give out that information over the phone (wtf you're a salon so if I call and ask where you're located am I just SOL?!) not to mention all the information that's so private is on google. Sabrina then in a very rude and childish way, tried to make me accept her lame and lie-ridden apology, which, no. Sabrina herself told me to write this review so here I am. Sabrina I am calling out your wildly unprofessional attitude and behavior, from someone in a similar field of work, a bit of advice. You should never EVER talk to a potential client the way you have spoken to me. You have marred the image of your salon and cost it (yet another) bad review. How is that? She had a family emergency and took that day off because of it. It amazes me that some customers think the world revolves around them when, clearly, an owner is human, and sometimes needs the day for important family matters! I've been going to this salon since she became the owner and everything runs perfectly and it's because of Christine that it does! Additionally, years ago I used to go to a tanning salon in Holbrook that severely overcharged, never replaced bulbs, and didn't return customers' calls!
