Nicest staff! Came here after finding my usual airbrush tan girl to be MIA. I decided to try out the Versaspa spray tan machine and there was a promo to try it for $12! Woohoo! The woman at the front desk was nice, helpful, and patient as I asked my questions of years past (will I turn orange? how long should it set?). I come from the generation of laying in tanning beds and regretting it later so a newer spray tan machine that doesn't leave you looking orange is totally a dream. The machine is clean (it self-cleans after use!) and the room itself is comfy albeit a bit small but enough space to put your stuff and prep for the tan. Session was done in a matter of minutes and I was on my way, Depending on how long this tan lasts, I'll decide if I want to signup for a membership. read more

Employees who no how to handle issues and fix their own mistakes. I did a one month pass for Spray Tan. The card on file was compromise and subsequently canceled before the next month came up where they try to charge my card for recurring monthly service, which I did not ask for. They admitted it must've been the mistake of the person at the desk that day, but then told me until I paid the past due balance of $123 I could not use their services. No attempt to repair it or call management. Just let a customer of several years walk right out the door never to return. There are better places. My advice is to choose one of those. read more

I love coming here to get my tan on especially before it gets really hot! Love that base tan. The best employee at this location is Taylor. She really goes up and beyond for not only me, but I've seen for other customers as well. She is so friendly, always makes sure you have a great deal and a satisfactory time. Used to love this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. That changed today when they informed me that they will no longer honor the terms of the package my husband and I bought. We got a package that includes sunless and UV tanning. (I want sunless, Jimmy likes the UV) Nope. No more. Today they inform me that they unilaterally changed the terms of the product I already paid for. That's some shady stuff right there. read more

Sessions expire . You buy package they tell you how many you have and then they don't tell you they expire. Give me a break. . Place is empty , no labor cost but they let me walk out unless I paid more money . You will never see me again and I'll tell my friends. read more

I registered here to start building a tan before my vacation. I have never experienced such uninterested staff in my life. They didn't even enter my name properly when registering me. They didn't base it on my intake form, but based it on my license which has my full middle name on it. Upon going to a different Beach Bum salon, they couldn't find me in their system for this reason. Luckily, I won't have to go back there again. I found a better salon and only will be tanning for 2 more sessions. read more

Just moved towns and tried this location. I've done spray tanning at other beach bum locations but didn't like them at all. However, ALEXA was amazing and my tan is 10/10! Recommended it. I'll be back just to get my spray tans with her. read more

They told me I could cancel my subscription by the 15th of the previous month. I cancelled on the 13th. They still charged me for the next month and I was told "Sorry that's not our policy" I can't believe they would rather screw a customer over then reimburse them $20. read more

Tanning.....a guilty pleasure of mine. What can I say? It's a tanning salon. There are about 20 rooms with beds and standups. Sometimes the staff can be a little aggressive when they are trying to sell you stuff which is annoying. But if you want to get your tan on Beach Bum dominates LI. They also have airbrushing here which I get done for special occassions. read more

Recommend 100% to anyone looking to get a great Tan! Friendly down to earth staff. The entire staff is super knowledgeable in there services/products! They put me in the best bed for my skin tone and gave me a lotion that gave me great color and made my skin feel so soft but without the feel of using lotion! I think it was called Tanatomy? I have been coming to Beach Bum Tanning for years and I rarely write reviews unless deserving and this tanning salon is the best on the island. Great beds and although pricy if you purchase a package you Save a ton of money. The staff is amazing and patient, they put up with so many entitled human beings... You know the ones that forgot tanning is a luxury not a divine right or anything emergent. Rich is one of the employees I see the most and he is one of their best! After having the custom airbrush tan, with Jessica, I give bb tanning and air brush 5 stars. Jessica's technique was perfect, the color looks so natural, yet deep enough to look like a natural glow. Truly a sunless glowing tan. read more

This is undeniably the best tanning salon I've ever been to. The staff here is so friendly and always interested in my life! I recently got an airbrush from Stephanie K and the sales girl JC kept a full going conversation with me while I was waiting. Stephanie's airbrush was amazing and when I called back this week to make a new appointment she answered and remembered that I recently had kids! Beach Bum tanning is a great place to tan, theres no denying that. And now unfortunately I'm in the process of looking for a new tanning salon because i do not want one more encounter with that new manager. When ToniAnn had first started working there, I let the first few incidences blow off my shoulder, but enough is enough. I am SHOCKED that Beach Bum would hire such a nasty unprofessional person to run the store. The first time I had met ToniAnn, she was great. But that ended very quickly. The first incident (back in march) was when I came in to use the Blueberry. I had approached the desk i can remember how i walked in and thought i was invisible because her face was so buried into her cell phone. I literally had to say something for her to finally look up at me. My husband came in and asked ToniAnn a question about one of the packages, and when he wanted to buy the cheaper one, she did a sarcastic chuckle and made a rolled her eyes. The most recent occurrence was when I had called ask why my package was on hold, a young man picked up and promised me 3 separate times she would contact me, and she never did. I had enough with this. This never happened in the past. I have always been so happy with the staff! But i really will do anything to avoid dealing with her -so my husband and I are now looking for another salon. Its a shame. read more
