This place isn't as fancy as other groomers, and it might not look the most inviting, but don't let that fool you. They do a great job, and best of all for me, you don't need to call ahead--except during the height of the season and right around the holidays. Otherwise, just show up right when they open, and they can almost always take you as a walk-in. It's so nice having one less thing I need to plan for in advance. I can just decide at the last minute and drop my dog off. I have an English Cocker Spaniel, but I don't go for the traditional Cocker Spaniel cut. I have them do a "puppy cut" for better snuggling. Though, as my baby is 14 years old, this haircut really accentuates her gray LOL. read more

This is the only place we bring our dogs. We have two Westies and a Westie/Chihuahua mix. The staff is always cheerful and accommodating on last-minute appointments. I'm sorry to see someone had a bad experience here. That has not been my experience at all. Our puppies are always happy and well behaved here. No trauma whatsoever. All these reviews are from years ago but I had an AWFUL experience. I read the reviews and scheduled an appointment because I needed to get my dog groomed ASAP and my usual groomer was out of town. Should've left and trusted my instincts. The place was filthy and the customer service was absolutely nonexistent. My dog does well with the new experiences and when I got her afterwards she seemed traumatized. She did an awful job she was rude and I would never suggest anybody go to this place. Why would somebody who is not an absolute dog lover do this job? Find someplace else...NOT here read more

As someone said in another review the place isn't fancy. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have gone here at first glance. I tend to think it's comparative to that tiny little hole in the wall local restaurant you decide to try one time and realize what a gem you were missing! That said, whoever gave this place a bad review moans too much, and now becoming a loyal client I'm really offended as a fellow business owner myself that someone would trash such a great business of kind, hardworking, and talented individuals. First of all, you don't have to make an appointment weeks out, you can drop off that morning without even making an appointment which is SO Convenient and not possible anywhere else I have heard of. Secondly, the owner works the front herself and really cares about dogs. Thirdly, the gal that typically does the grooming is incredible and does a beautiful job. Don't let the place fool ya. She did an excellent job on my dogs nails. She had my little chihuahua flipped over, cutting the underside., my dog won't let me near her nails, and this lady (sorry, I don't know the name), was handeling her like a pro. I do not recommend! I called on Tuesday and made an appointment for Thursday at 11. Left work to drop my dogs off. I open the door and immediately the lady behind the counter tells me "we're closed" I said wait I have an 11 am appointment. Meanwhile she's frazzled on the phone with someone and looking at a torn up old calendar telling me I'm not on it. But yet didn't ask my name. I call the number saved in my phone and her phone rings. I said see that's me. The lady on your answering machine made the appointment. She then tells me that lady hasn't been in since the 27 of July but I spoke to her Aug 2 when I made the appointment. Thank god I was able to call salty dogs grooming down the street and get my dogs in today. I'll never attempt to use this place again. No respect for the time I took off work, no apologies. Great little pet grooming and supply store in the greater Lantana and east Lake Worth area. I take my furry friend here to get cleaned up, nails trimmed etc. They are very caring and say the "dogs sing to them all day". They have always done a great job and my four legged friend comes back clean as a whistle. read more

What I like about Beach Dog is that I don't have to wait a week to bring my dog in for a grooming. Kim fits me in right away and both her and Coco are very pleasant and Stewie seems to think so!! read more

My mother-in-law has been taking all of her pets here FOREVER, but we just started taking our dogs recently. I just about died when i decided to get my one youngest pup shaved, but OMG i could not have asked for a better outcome. They shaved him perfectly, he looks even better than he did before!! If I could pick ZERO stars I would. I brought my dog here about 3 times - the last time I picked her up - her face was RAKED and bleeding. She was shaking and butchered. They removed all her hair on the back of her arms (shes a Golden Retriever!) without asking. I got home and my husband was so mad - when I picked her up I was in such shock I didn't say anything. When I got her home I saw the brutal work they did to my poor dog. DON'T take a chance going here. I actually cried after looking her further. I can't believe I was the one who exposed her to that treatment. :( read more

Good spot, good people, and good grooming at a reasonable price.

I called on a Saturday and wanted my rottweilwer bathed, they fit me in the same day! As soon as I got there someone came out and grabbed my dog, started petting him and took him back. He loved it, he was very confortable with them. This was the first time I took my bog to be bathed, I always did t myself. There was at least 4 dogs there and they still fit my dog in the same they. First I want to say I respect the salons contributions to our military. However we adopted a veterans dog who was in a tight spot and had had to leave his dog in the salons care. The salon had cared for this dog for years. I have never seen or had to treat a dog so infested with ticks, and required to take such extreme measures and continue to fight potential infestation of our home and our pets from this adoption. Utter total negligence on the salons part and was impossible to have not known of this problem. I removed over 16 ticks the first day and over 60 more in the weeks following. Medicated baths, collars, trips to the vet for both the adopted and our other 2 dogs. Spraying of the yard and interior home. Should never have happened. read more
