I have taken my dog for a full groom and was quoted a price only to be charged more money at checkout for a sub par, uneven cut, much shorter than I asked for- not pleased. Despite the actual quote which was given by the owner he was helpless in honoring it because front end receptionist began arguing with him- it was a scene and he had no say over his own business. We weren't told it was going to take that long but we also didn't ask, so I'll take the blame there. 0/10 DO NOT GO, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE, I'VE BEEN CRYING SINCE I BROUGHT MY DOGS 2 WEEKS AGO FROM GROOMING WITH DONNA I have 3 dogs, (2 Pomeranians and 1 samoyed). My samoyed is ~6 months old, one of my Pomeranians is ~8 months olds and my other Pomeranian is almost 3 years old. My 3 year old Pomeranian has ben groomed his whole life, but we are new to the area so we did heavy research and saw nothing but positive reviews for this salon and gave it a shot. My Pomeranians have very long hair. I maintain them everyday of my life. Not a day goes by that I don't brush them, clean their eyes, brush their teeth, clean their paws, and their undercarriage. I use various products to boost their health like joint/cartilage tablets, skin/coat tablets, nourishing and moisturizing sprays/washes, etc. I have every type of brush to make sure their coats are long, thick, beautiful, and tangle-free at all times. Donna groomed my dogs and did an atrocious job. We told her we wanted their coats LONG, NOT SHAVED, NOT CUT, just cleaned up a bit to even out their shape and paws. She cut me off mid-sentence to confirm she knew exactly what I wanted and it would be no problem. She said she would only cut the "whiskies." She said she wouldn't shave, wouldn't cut short, would just make sure they were even'd out and still maintained their long, beautiful coats. When I picked up, both of my Pomeranians were shaved short. Their coats completely disappeared and you can see all the buzz lines from her blades all over their coats. Their beards and paws were so choppy. Their paw pads weren't shaved at all and nails weren't trimmed, even though this was part of the package we purchased. And their appearance isn't even the worst part. It gets TREMENDOUSLY worse. For the next 3 days, all 3 of my dogs were violently vomiting up everything they ingested until there was nothing left but bile, which they continued to throw up. Food, water, anti-vomiting medications- they threw it all up. They had diarrhea for 3 days and were in a constant state of poor health after having never displayed these symptoms previously, especially our samoyed who we got not even 2 months ago. Within the next couple days after grooming, my Pomeranian's fur began to mat like crazy despite my regular and nearly obsessive maintenance care I do. I don't know if it was a product they used or left in, but the matting feels like a carpet and every night I have brushed out SO much of his fur just to remove the mats that he is losing more hair than I am comfortable with, leaving me in tears of what is going to come of his coat that I worked SO hard to maintain and grow his whole life. Donna gave us such an unpleasant experience. At dropoff, she was obsessively asking if we show our dogs, breed them, plan to compete them, none of which we do. We kept telling her no and that we are doctors not interested in such things as these are like our children, but she kept pressing. At pickup, she continued to ask the same questions over and over again in such an obsessive and strange way. We felt so uncomfortable and didn't know why she was so fixated on our dogs in that way. We spent over $800 at the vet to bring our dogs back to good health and have spent hours since the visit brushing our dogs' coats out in hopes to bring them even somewhat close to what they were before their visit at this salon. For reference, my pomeranian is 3 lbs and fits in one hand. All the fur mats I have removed from him were about as big as him. I called the owner to have a professional conversation about what happened and the receptionist told me she would call me back. She never called me back and despite my immediate cancellation of my future appointments, the salon still texted me to confirm appointments that I cancelled. I had to call 3 times just to get someone to answer the phone and take me off the schedule. This is long, but I hope it helps whoever is reading it to make their decision. Absolutely the worst grooming I have ever had for my Bichon. I would give zero stars if I could. I don't know how it is that a groomer can call themselves a master groomer and not know what a traditional bichon haircut looks like. They kept asking me how do I want it. I said a traditional bichon cut. Exactly what she looked like when I brought her in but trimmed. Instead they gave her a small square head and sausage-like body. Unbelievable! Do not go here!! If I could rate this establishment 0 stars I would. Groomer, owner, and staff neglected my requests of a mini grooming for my 10 month old Golden doodle, drastically changing her appearance without my approval as I requested. I decided to give this shop a chance because of their high rating and good reviews, but I believe they are all fake reviews so that guests can redeem free services. Before the service began I went over with the receptionist my expectations, stating that I wanted my puppy to be bathed, nails clipped, face and body TRIMMED NOT SHAVED. I specified this because Olive had knots behind her ears and near her tummy but overall her curls and hair were in good shape. When I spoke to the groomer about her knots she said she would be able to brush them out, if not she would shave around the ears and take half of body hair off. Before leaving I told the receptionist to CALL ME before shaving her down or if anything were to change. I called the establishment THREE times for updates only to be ignored. When I picked Olive up I did not recognize her. They shaved her down completely drastically changing her appearance. If they were not capable of doing what I asked, they should've stated that from the beginning. After expressing my disapproval the owner did NOTHING and told me " a mini grooming was never going to happen." Even though I spoke to her the day prior. If they were not able to do a mini grooming they should have not agreed to the service. Not only did they ignore my requests even though I called the day before and several times during service, there was no empathy or professionalism. I spent $145 and ended up having to bath her myself because she was aggressively itching her skin. This shop does not value guests/pets or their requests. Please do not take your pet here. They are not qualified or professional. I usually keep my negative experiences to myself but this one deserves attention. I plan on filing a formal complaint with the State due to negligence and poor ownership. read more

I started taking my GSD here middle of last year(she was only about 6 months) after being referred by another client. They used to do a phenomenal job on her. I only took her in for a bath and de shedding treatment which would always total out to $62.89. They always rave about how well behaved she is and even priced her litter mate the same for being just as well behaved. This was also while Diana was still working there and she would always get all the hair out perfectly and she'd leave her smelling amazingly. My most recent visit did not go as well. I understand covid has restricted many things and was fine with greeting outside and having them take her in that way. Upon picking her up everything was fine. But the price shocked me. I asked for the same service as before and they had given her a free hot oil treatment due to me referring a new client to them. When the young woman told me the total, it was more than what I expected. It came out to $75-$80. I don't care about the almost $20 increase. I'm upset at the fact that the pricing was changed after being told from our first visit that the price would never change. I asked the woman why the price was so much and she said "the bath is $50 and the de shedding treatment is an extra $15" I was a bit confused but was in a rush so I tipped on top of that anyway because that's what one should always do in my opinion. After leaving and getting my shepherd in the car, I realized she was still shedding a ton which never happened before from her visits. This last visit really let me down. On top of that . The client I referred was also charged more than the price they gave them on their first visit. Since when did happy tails start changing pricing and not notifying existing clients especially when you tell us that it's a set price after the first visit depending on the difficulty the dog gives? I drive an hour just to take her to get the great job that used to be provided especially after how terrible the experiences I've had with other groomers.(one burned her chest, another shaved her sanitary areas after I requested it to not be done. Along with another groomer telling me I needed to shave her coat down fully to allow her adult coat to grow in) Not sure this drive is worth it anymore and the friend I referred is so upset with the terrible cut done on her dog the last time that she won't be returning. read more
