Dr. Yen is Master Class clinician and an amazing artist! When my son was 8 years old, he broke off his two front teeth in a fall. He had significant discoloration of his teeth and temporary composite restoration. After having his braces removed, I took my son to Dr. Yen for evaluation. He fitted my son for new veneers to cover the broken teeth, hand painted the new teeth to match existing teeth and referred him to a periodontist for surgery to manage his overgrown gums. End result, my son is thrilled with his smile, which should last a lifetime and for many happy memories to come. I came in with my two kids this week for us to all have our teeth cleaned and we had a great experience. Gina cleaned both of my boy's teeth (ages 6 & 4). She took the time to teach then about brushing and made them laugh using a tutorial video of a monkey brushing his teeth! My kids got a kick out if it and it helped them feel so comfortable! I had my teeth cleaned by Sandi who did a great job. I will be returning in a few weeks to have a some work done and they will be using their new fancy machine that does a crown in one visit. What a great experience I had here! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They really made me feel comfortable the whole way through. They have awesome digital technology like digital x-rays which offered me significantly less radiation and CAD/CAM technology which allowed me to get the crown I needed in just one office visit instead of two, I didn't need the gunk in my mouth to take the impression and I didn't need a temporary crown for two weeks since it was all done for me right away. I left with a beautifully done tooth-colored ceramic crown! I've had a crown done before the old way and let me tell you, this was way better! Loved the hygienist, too, very informative and thorough. I was also told they do offer sedation as well in case you have dental-phobia. Parking was super easy, too, since they have a parking lot right in front of the office. The doctor was incredibly easy to talk to, nice, honest and gentle. Very reasonable fees, too. Maria, the office manager was very helpful with everything and made sure I was able to use my insurance benefits. Dr. Yen has been working closely with me to correct an issue he did not create. I would rate him a one in a million. Today I had my teeth cleaned for the first time at Dr. Yen's office. Sandy was the hygenist. They have some serious high tech teeth cleaning equipment. Sandy explained everything she was going to do, explained the equipment and apologized for the noise. Who likes to have their teeth cleaned -- I do now. Sandy made it a rather pleasant experience! I have already told two of my dentist phobic friends about Dr. Yen and Sandy. When Sandy was done, Dr. Yen talked to me about the "issue" he was correcting. Dr. Yen is amazing and I believe everyone on his staff follows his lead. 15 years+ ago when I first visited Dr. Yen with my dental needs, I knew I was in great hands when I experienced first-hand the committed top quality care provided by him and his entire staff. Dr. Yen was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and always took the time to go above and beyond to discuss potential options with me. I was in my 20s and didn't have any experience with implants, so I especially really his genuine caring approach in treating his patients. He always approached from "What is the best option for the patient?" lens. Throughout the past 15+ years, I've moved all over the country and have seen several other dentists for ongoing cleaning/periodontal maintenance. Every dentist/specialist I've visited have been blown away by the art/craft of Dr. Yen's work when they see the dental work in my mouth. Dr. Yen truly treats his work as art- he takes such time and care to strive for the best outcome. Where I'm even more blown away, is that recently, after all these years, I chipped a crown. Now living all the way across the country, I reached out to Dr. Yen to discuss replacement plans, not sure if he would still remember me. Dr.Yen not only calls me back the same day, him and his staff went again above and beyond (they even still had all my provisions and models from 15 years ago!) to discuss with my local dentists treatment options. Dr. Yen and Dr. Silegy worked together on a whole mouth restoration. The work entailed bone grafts, 16 implants, and multiple bridges. Dr. Yen was the architect. He is an artist as well and that fact showed up in his design of the bridges/prosthetics. I have been extremely happy with the results and have had no trouble since the restoration was completed. Whew, now that I have a little bit of spare time, I can write this very much well deserved review. I was told by my primary Dentist to search for a Prosthodontist because I have what they called a clasp or collapsed bite. So, I googled Prosthodontists in Long Beach and Dr. Yen showed up on some kind of Prosthodontist website. So I booked my appointment with him and man, was I blessed!!! Dr. Yen has a very genuine, sophisticated and forward way about him. He's very engaged in your concerns and is the ultimate professional people seek a lifetime to find. I am so delighted to have met Dr. Yen and that's not because he's the only person ever in my life to tell me that I have beautiful teeth (which I find hard to agree with lol), but because he is very knowledgable and understood all aspects of my dental situation. I was so happy to hear him say that my problem was very simple and that my smile can be fixed. I will be honest, I have never been to a dentist and thought "oh wow, this is fun," but this time I did. This dental office was amazing! Dr. Jensen was very thorough with his examination and well informed on the science of dentistry. I asked him several questions, all of which he had the answer to. The staff was incredibly helpful and there were smiles all around. The hygienist, Gina, gave me the best cleaning I have ever had. It even came with instructions on flossing. She personally showed me a demonstration in the mirror on my own mouth with a technique that I had never considered. I can't say enough about Dr. Yen and his staff. I've been grinding my teeth since I was a young child and have had many bad habits such as chewing ice and guzzling soda. To top it all off, I didn't consistently wear a bite plate at night until my 30s. Even though I'm only in my 40s, by the time I first saw Dr. Yen, about half the length of my teeth was gone, the enamel had been worn down to the dentine on most of my teeth and all of my molars were concave in appearance. I was told what I had known in the back of my mind for some time; I needed to have some significant work done if I didn't want to be wearing dentures in my 50s. Dr Yen devised a plan to build up my bite by adding temporary plastic caps before putting in permanent porcelain crowns|veneers to all my teeth. It took my a year for me to finally pull the trigger and go ahead. In addition to the price, which I realized was worth it given I hoped to have my new teeth for many decades to come, I didn't really like the idea of having so much work done in my mouth, especially since my entire dental experience consisted of only cleanings and two fillings to that point. I was also worried about the appearance, particularly of the plastic caps, because I know how easily people's attention can be drawn to bad| unnatural looking dental work. Believe it or not, the permanent crowns and veneers took only two days to install, and though I initially requested gas, I went through the whole process the old-fashioned way with a minimal amount of pain and discomfort. Throughout the process, Dr. Yen and his staff were extremely solicitous, even going so far as to buy me chocolate milkshakes for lunch. And the results, dare I say, are fantastic. My friends and family have been very impressed, and no one I've met on street has raised an eyebrow or asked my about "fake-looking" teeth. If any of you are in the position I was in, I would go in to Dr. Yen for a consult and get the process started before you lose any more of your teeth! read more

Dr. Yen is wonderful! His artistry with making beautiful smiles is amazing. I couldn't believe the precision and care he put into all my visits. I first went to him for a veneer on one of my front teeth. I was tired of positioning myself in pictures so the gap couldn't be seen. I just needed a quick fix, but Dr. Yen wouldn't allow it. He took the time to make the veneer look 100% natural in my smile. I couldn't be happier. He also spotted a slightly chipped tooth I had and fixed it without charge. He's a perfectionist and I'm so thankful I found him! I've also taken my 13 year old son to have veneers put on his teeth (we're cursed with small teeth in my family). The dentist is very careful to do a perfect procedure. I'm a former dental assistant and a very good judge of good dentistry. He was nearly pain free and I was in the chair for over 2 hrs. I had my first encounter with Dr. Yen over 20 years ago. I had been without a proper lower partial for 19 years. I was never able to get one that fit properly until I found Dr. Yen. He suggested that I get two implants, which I did, and he provided the partial to fit them. That was many, many years ago and I still have the same partial and it is wonderful. I couldn't speak or write more highly of Dr. Yen and his staff. They are very friendly, competent, and interested in making the patient comfortable and informed. Dr. Yen is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. By the way, his office is full of his own art work which is very beautiful. He is multi-talented and that is an asset as in his profession.
