Love this place. The people are friendly and professional. Dr. Ryan is the best. I initially came in with pain, having not visited a dentist in quite some time. My mouth was a mess. Dr. Ryan did a thorough analysis and examination with top-rate equipment, assistants and expertise, assuring me that he would be able to help with the dental work I needed. After several visits, a few crowns, new fillings and a deep scale cleaning later, my mouth is as good as new. Dr. Ryan gave me my mouth/smile back and the wife is quite pleased with the results. I have been seeing Dr. Le for at least 10 years, even when he was a different offices previously. When I found out he is at a location close to me, I booked my appointment for myself and 2 kids right away. Since I was new to this location, there was quite a bit of paperwork for 3 of us to fill out when we first arrived. I appreciate that the receptionist and the assistants were kind and friendly. My kids said they felt comfortable and felt they were respected and heard. As always, I never felt pressured for any treatments and appreciated that Dr. Le only recommends what was necessary. The dental hygienist was friendly and professional. She was engaging and constantly making sure I was feeling okay. I appreciate how they were engaging with my kids while I was being treated. My kids and I was pleasantly surprised by the dental imaging equipment that they have. It was our first time. It felt like the care team and admin staff all seem to get along well. Andrea, the hygienist, helped me a lot by suggesting what toothpaste to use and what I could do to improve my dental health. She provided me with a baggie and a note detailing her suggestions, I couldn't get the doctors name but he also helped me out with understanding the situation with my teeth all while being very polite and informative about what I needed. When you walk into the lobby you're always greeted with a friendly greeting and a smile! They always make sure you're feeling comfortable, especially because coming into the dentist office is always nerve wrecking for me. I really appreciate their kindness! The dental assistants always make sure to make you feel at ease. They talk to you in a calm and caring manner. I also like that some of them make you laugh!! I love that!! I'm in my early 20's, I came in Feb for wisdom teeth removal, the dentist told me that the upper wisdom teeth were fully erupted and it was simple extraction which they charged me $600 for each tooth. In addition, the dentist told me that I must have bone graft, it is 100 percent recommended. Guess how much they charged me for each? $800 each, $1600 in total. I don't have insurance, so I paid all out of pocket in fear of needing bone graft. This business is extremely greedy, that made money on top of extra profit out of fear mongering. So let me start with I found this dentist office on Monday because I was in pain, I made a same day appointment, and was seen by Dr. Le, who I must say was the best, the dentist is one place I'm scared of and he made it so easy for me, they exam me, did the X-rays and I was told everything I needed to be done and the cost. Fast forward to today and I had an appointment to get my wisdom tooth pulled, let me just say yall better run to Dr. Le, he pulled my teeth out so fast , I didn't feel no pulling, pressure or anything, he was like okay you done, I was like that was fast lol! In all my years of going to the dentist and being scared, he made it so easy for me and is the best ! I definitely give 5 stars, book yall appointments now! I visited Dentist of Long Beach for a routine cleaning and was quite disappointed with my experience. During my appointment, the staff recommended several additional services that they claimed were necessary for my dental health. Assuming they were verifying my insurance covered it, I agreed to proceed with the treatments. However, after reviewing my dental insurance plan, I discovered that these services were not covered and, worse, were not actually needed at all. It became clear that the recommendation for these services was not made in my best interest but rather for financial gain. I feel misled and frustrated that the staff did not inform me about the lack of necessity for these services or the fact that they wouldn't be covered by my insurance. Transparency is crucial in healthcare, and I expected better communication from a practice I trusted. I DO NOT recommend based on my experience, they run your credit, get loans to pay for those extra charges and then ask you to sign while the dental assistant is performing so called necessary procedures in order to distract you and from what you are signing. Seems really fishy and I urge others to be cautious and fully clarify any additional services before proceeding. read more

Daniela and Adriana that work in the front office are great! They are very welcoming and informative, they've been awesome to me since day one. All recommended services here are throughly explained and nothing feels forced or pushed on you. The young lady that did my deep cleaning (forgot her name) was great as well. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I didn't feel any pain and the cleaning was a breeze! Very nice staff welcoming, however after being in there 2 hours doing xray , and waiting.. I was quoted 9k this included braces , deep cleaning and gum therapy. I have good insurance so I was confused. I did the mistake of asking the front staff "is my insurance approved , are you contracted with my insurance?" The response was YES. However my insurance was NOT contracted with them.. as a patient you would they think they would be transparent.. neither them or the billing team were.. instead they ran like 5 credits on me. I got there at 4PM and was still waiting around 5 almost 6PM I thank god the dental hygienist suggested to come back another day since it was getting late. The next day I called my insurance and they confirmed I was not contracted , I felt so defeated and taken advantage of because I would think a medical place would walk you through coverage.. I quickly cancelled the appointment (after they ran 5 credit companies and billed 4k) for deep cleaning , gum therapy & 2 wisdom removal I really thought it was going to be like this everywhere but I went to another dentist (amazing experience they didn't seem money hungry like here) 800$ vs 4k is crazy. Anyways it's been more than a month and I'm the one that has to keep calling to follow up and everytime I call I'm told I will get a call back. Today marked the 5 call since October & I haven't raised my voice, gave attitude or belittled and still won't but I literally can't believe this dental place works like a car dealership. I never got nothing done at this place just ONE filling & im still left with 4K balance as of today they haven't fixed that.. they never call me back I'm the one calling and feel so defeated.. please call your insurance company before coming here because they won't be transparent. I previously posted a 1-star review, but after talking to them, I realized they deserve 5-stars. When my husband came in for an estimate there was a miscommunication because he asked if they "take" our insurance instead of asking if they were "in-network". A few days later we got an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for an out-of-network service priced at $637. I tried calling their office to resolve the situation, but was having trouble getting in touch with the office manager, and assumed they were trying to duck my calls, which was how I ended up giving them a 1-star review. It turned out, however, that Nora the office manager had been out sick with COVID. Upon her return she immediately gave us a call back and apologized for the misunderstanding. She made it so that we didn't have to pay anything at all, and with a lot of patience and understanding explained that an EOB is not a bill. As a show of good faith she also offered discounted rates for my husband's dental work. This was a best case scenario for me, and left me awestruck at Nora's empathy for patients and ability to resolve tricky insurance situations. I would absolutely recommend Dentist of Long Beach to anyone. read more

If you're looking for personable, attentive, and friendly dental care, this is not the place. I went in for a routine cleaning after a year and had a genuinely awful experience. Right off the bat, the front desk told me my insurance was terminated. I insisted that wasn't true, but the receptionist dismissed me with, "I just called them and they said your coverage is terminated. Sorry. Call them yourself." So I did. Turns out they contacted the wrong number. Still, no apology, no help, no ownership from the staff. I almost walked out right then and there, but I had already waited 45 minutes, so I decided to stay. Mistake. When the dentist finally came in, he didn't look at me, didn't listen to me, didn't do a proper examination, barely said a word, rushed through the consultation, and made the whole interaction feel cold and impersonal. Then, after over an hour and a half of this chaos, they quoted me $800 for a cleaning. I declined the services and I will NEVER be back the or any dental office associated with this group! DO BETTER! I switched to this dentist and after 1 hr and 30 minutes of xrays and them just scanning my teeth they said I had 0 cavities which was nice and that my situation was more a of gum problem. However, heres the twist, after looking at my gums apparently a normal cleaning would be useless they claim (never in my life has anyone said such an absurd thing) and they tried to get me to do a deep cleaning and also laser treatment for over 1800 dollars while I have pretty good insurance (apparently none of this is covered, but yk what is? The normal cleaning) on top of this they wanted me to come in 3 times a year which of course also is not covered by insurance. and after waiting 2 hrs apparently they all had to go on lunch I asked "can you do a normal cleaning?" And they completely refused to do any normal cleaning. This is easily the worst dentist experience I've had ever. Do not recommend! -Update: Went to a different dentist they did the normal cleaning got rid of all the plaque that the Dentist of Long beach with the normal cleaning said "would be useless" and one of the hygienist also said "would be unethical for me to do". My teeth are completely healthy and normal thanks to a different dentist. I wanted to update to provide how I now know for certain they either are incompetent or were lying to get me to pay for so much treatment not needed. The only unethical thing happening is this dentist. Again DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

This is place is rip off,do not come here. Half star review.. If your cash patient, they will add on procedures that are not needed. The prices the procedures are more than most dental places. Then,they advise on getting pre-approval credit check. This is so you can pay for these procedures,that are not needed. These credit checks they do, didn't need to be signed and say " it soft credit check". Then they say your approved for certain amount. They pressure you and say these procedures need to be done today,since your in pain. They want you to sign their payment plan because of these procedures you need done. You say that you'll think it over. They got frustrated because we won't do the procedures or sign the credit assistance plan. So one of the woman rushing us out, threw the declining services form at us, left us. Mad at the fact they didn't make the sale. They weren't concern about patient ,more concern about making money off you. Luckily I found place that took cared of my tooth and I paid even less than what they had listed. Please do not come here, look around for better dental place. The way these employees were acting, try to over charge you on bogus procedures and prices. The ortho appointments are only on Mondays and they end up getting so backed up in the afternoon, thats my only availability and they dont see u at ur appointment time. Which is so annoying. 30-40 minutes after ur scheduled appointment. I didnt even reschedule to see the regular dentist for a clean up. I go somewhere else. Also, when I first went to schedule for braces they said they didn't do payment plans so i was suppose to pay for braces in full. I told her i would call back the next day to pay it and when i called they asked me a series of questions only to run my credit and tell me i didn't qualify for a payment plan. I was so upset. I was like , you told me you didnt have that option anyways. I was calling to pay it full and they ran my credit. I thought the questions they were asking was for a different reason. Malpractice! Be very careful with this place! All I wanted was two tooth gems taken off and was quoted $100 for the entire procedure, after I had been exrayed. I come in to get the work done and once they take the tooth gems off they asked me if I want to take the glue off of my teeth and it would be an additional $500 to remove the glue. That's like if somebody was getting their driveway redone and the contractor asks you if you want rebar to reinforce the concrete after they rip up your driveway and that it'll be an additional charge. read more

They are amazing! Chrystal is so sweet and helpful! The Front Office staff is amazing. They had a not so nice , rude as hell patient come in and I was irritated like he was talking to me. The ladies handled it very well and professionally. Great job ladies, cuz I stay ready! Lol In addition, Nara the Office Manager and Dr. K were super nice and accommodating. The procedure itself was pretty fast considering that I am getting two implants at once! It was just a few minutes, the office is impeccably clean and I felt really great about this experience. This dentist office is amazing. I was able to be seen very soon for cavities and they worked with my insurance to waive fees that I would have had to pay out of pocket. I was able to get a filling the next day and they accommodated all of my insurance concerns. The entire staff is very experienced and friendly. Came in about one chipped tooth and was told I need six crowns....why does it all feel so predatory. My trust in dentist is at an all time low. Horrible experience. Barely addressed my chipped tooth. Spoke super fast and barely addressed me. When he realized he wasn't going to get unlimited money from me he showed no interest in helping me.
