I didn't wanna go in another liquor store but hubby sent me a pic of him in store sipping on a beer! Curiosity got the better of me! They have a beer spot in front corner with tables where you can buy a flight of beers or a glass! You can get a sample if you are not sure you want full glass and drink as you shop. Lots of cool local beers and liquors from the places right down road a ways! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Had a great experience here, staff helped members out to their car and help put their drinks away, helped store our drinks while we shopped and had advice for us. Store was super clean and all staff was super friendly. They even had a drink tasting and provided food for for people so they had food on their stomach while they tasted drinks. Wow on the beach and visiting the area we decide to stop by and get a few alcoholic beverages and different snacks so we were in here and decide to give it a shot. Great liquor store that has a good variety. They had everything I was looking for and more, and they also have some cute "drinking accessories" near the front of the store like towels with cute phrases etc. I knocked it down a star because they don't wear masks or require than anyone else does, and they almost ran me over with the trolley when they were bringing in stock. read more

Great family owned business. Beer and wine tastings every Friday night from 5-7 and sometimes other treats as well (I think he said bourbon and whiskey tastings). Very clean and organized. Great selection and friendly staff. However, if you're browsing the website for inventory, be aware that the allocated inventory is off limits for passerby peasants. Unless you are "gold status" ($1500 spent), any of the allocated (rare high end) spirits are off limits to you and your unworthy self. Outstanding liquor store. They have a huge selection of spirits including a vast aisle of bourbon with several store pics which I was impressed by. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and eager to answer my questions. The prices were good for the area from what I saw. Definitely my first place to go when I need something here. Also have a big beer cave with a huge selection. Additionally they have a boatload of wine but I didn't have a chance to peruse it. Thumbs up. This place is the bomb for sure and when I'm back in town I will be back to give them my business. I have been shopping at Beach for years and highly recommend them. They are locally owned and give back to our community. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful. They stock everything. You will find the hard to get products there. And their prices are lower than even the big box supermarkets. They set the bar high, but the competition can't measure up. I was just passing through the area and I'm not very familiar with the area, but it was in a shopping center and seemed conveniently located. With all of the gifts, souvenirs and nick knacks, I could get in trouble at BL. They had quite a good selection of bourbon and store picks. They actually had more to choose from than the nearby Whiskey Barn. I found a rare tequila series, that were aged in bourbon barrels. As I was toting around the bottle, which was priced around $80, I noticed that the seal was broken, actually the plastic seal was completely missing. I mentioned it to the cashier who I think was a manager or owner. It must've caught him by surprise, because he acted a bit strange about it. Almost like I'd bought it, left the store and come back. Oh well, I would've liked to have a bottle. I was able to score a few other bottles anyway. read more

Never have I changed my rating so much on a venue. But this cannot go unsaid. After I wrote the initial glowing review, the management and apparently the whole fucking store knew me and sort of singled me out at the next tasting for horrible treatment. I guess they felt that my review gave the wrong impression of the place and was attracting the sort of people who want to get shitfaced off their wine. Hmm... fear not, because the only people who show up to their tastings are senior citizens. And here's a thought, if someone gives you a good review, maybe you should take that as a compliment and not punish her for it. But no... So it was the Lunar New Year eve and a few friends wanted to meet at Beach Liquor for their Friday tasting. Because it was an important holiday for me, I got all dressed up and excited to start my weekend and the Year of the Horse. Once again, we were the only people under the tender age of oh, 75, in the whole fucking store. Everyone else was just inches from collapsing into a wheelchair and drooling into a cup. Then each and every person who worked at the station treated me with contempt. They gave me pours of wine that were smaller than if a goddamn mosquito pissed into my glass. After waiting in line for 20 minutes behind 40 senior citizens who each wants to chat up the pourer, I get wine that I can finish in less than one sip. WTF. Then I noticed that they were only doing that to me and my friends who were with me. All the old people and my friends who were not with me got normal, generous pours. So when I asked about it, the servers pointedly talked about my yelp review and how it gave a bad impression and management wanted to control the size of the pours. Apparently, just for ONE FUCKING PERSON in a Chinese fucking dress trying to celebrate the Lunar New Year. After waiting in line forever, the server Kimmie left the station right before it was our turn to get wine. My friend then poured himself a sample and left. I went to do the same and Kimmie, the overweight manager/server, storms over and reams me out in front of the whole store. Threatening to kick me out and basically scolded me like I were five years old. I understand her point of not allowing customers to serve themselves but then maybe she should not leave the fucking station when there are 40 people in line. And even if she had a point, her reaction was totally inappropriate and beyond unprofessional. I apologized profusely and she was still huffy the rest of the night. She would give me and my nearby friends pours that barely wet the glass and all the old folks and my other friends not standing near me would get almost a full glass per tasting. Okay. Favoritism much? A place that singles out a customer for bad treatment is unprofessional and just plain petty. And for what? For giving them a five star review on yelp? The other server at the other station was an old guy who knew nothing about the wines. My friend asked a question about the wine and he knew nothing. Again, just unprofessional, borderline nonsensical. My Lunar New Year was off to a rough start but luckily, it has been an awesome year so far so they didn't jinx me. But needless to say, I will NEVER go back. So FUCK YOU Beach Liquors. I heard that they were giving away tickets now for the tasting so you can only get 5 pours maximum. That will keep those who wants to get shitfaced at bay I guess. Way to go Beach Liquors Management. You guys really know what you're doing. read more

I really like the large selection of liquors at this store. The beer selection is ok, too. They also have a large variety of mini-bottles at the front of the store. They also do wine/liquor tastings on Saturdays, which can be a good or bad thing (I see it as good). Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. read more

Best selection of Craft Beer in Fort Walton Beach now that Chan's has drastically cut down on how much beer inventory they are carrying..plus Beach is getting a lot of rare stuff from Stone and Bells well before the rest of the state is...they have had Hopslam for 2 weeks already, and it still has not come to the rest of Florida yet..also on Fridays they are doing Beer and Wine Tastings with light snacks for 5 dollars total...but the great thing is ,that 5 dollars also gets you a 5 dollar off voucher if you buy anything in the store that night...so basically free beer..wine..and food...to quote the great Charlie Sheen.."Winning"! read more

About a month ago I enquired about Paddy's Irish Whisky and now not only do I have some, but it is a regularly stocked item in the store! Not only that, but when it came in, I got a phone call to let me know. Customer service like that is hard to come by these days! So sick of these liquor stores in Florida. I walk into Beach Liquors to purchase a few hundred dollars in alcohol. I'm here to buy top shelf and above. I look around and see they have a few good selections. I notice to the left of the store they have a locked cabinet with a few of my favorites. I wanted the Willet Reserve 1.75 L and the Buffalo Trace in the cabinet. I let them know I wanted those before I headed to the añejo tequilas. I was looking for Don Julio 1942 and El Espolòn Extra añejo. I was asked by the cashier if I was a reward member. I said no, and then he said I couldn't purchase from the cabinet. I said ok, looks like I won't be spending any money at your store then. The other guy behind the counter piped in and said we just need a phone to join. I took two steps back to change my mind and the original cashier said I needed 1500 points. So I preceded to walk out without buying anything at this store. I'm still baffled how a business refuses to sell a product he is selling, and would rather have zero dollars than making a few hundred??????? They only had the Buffalo Trace 750 anyway. I'll be back home Wednesday and go get the 1.75L without a reward membership or stipulations. I travel here regularly, and my visit to Beach Liquors was my last! read more

The best craft beer selection of three liquor stores I visited nearby, but at higher prices ($14 for six domestic craft bottles). Decent scotch selection. They offer Friday tastings but I did not partake. One staff member was courteous and offered helpful suggestions, another was condescending. No mil discount. read more

Great selection of craft beers, including about a dozen on tap. You can get a pint of those on tap, and walk around the store with it whilst looking at other tasty drinks. They also do growlers and offer 20% off on Tues. and $1 off on Saturdays. The beer tastings on Fridays are great too. Five bucks and you get to taste 5 beers and munch on delicious snacks, in addition to getting a $5 voucher to use towards a beer purchase that night, thus making the tasting free. There's a great selection of canned beers as well, which are great since glass isn't allowed on the beach. To verbalize how good the beer selection here is, I got Dogfish 120 minute in a four pack of 12 oz bottles last week. Beach Liquors is such an awesome establishment! They always carry an insanely great variety of hard liquor, wine and beer, and they update their stock pretty consistently. If I'm ever in the mood for trying something new, I come here, and they're always ready to help me out with my selection. It's an adventure every time. I love their wine related merchandise, I did some of my Christmas shopping here. Their beer and wine tasting on Fridays is also an activity I look forward to at the end of the week. I love being able to taste out new selections I'd probably never try and Kimmie and Thomas are very friendly, gracious and knowledgable about the wines they bring in.
