Amazing experience! I was attending a wedding in LBI and my stylist (Reba) gave me one of the best blow outs ever. She didn't just have me sit and blow out my hair. She asked to see my dress and other questions which was so thoughtful. She made me feel and look BEAUTIFUL for the event! If I'm ever back I'll be sure to visit this salon again. The salon was clean and very busy! The young lady who washed my hair was friendly and did a good job but I got sprayed throughout the wash. My stylist was over 10 minutes late, but nice and definitely chatty! She listened to what I wanted but I barely noticed a difference in the cut. She even said she should've cut more (never had that before) What a waste of money but too late to change. Witnessed an elderly lady who they treated ok but you could tell her stylist didn't really want to spend with her styling her hair. Looks like this place is the bare minimum type of place. read more

5 STARS FOR BEACH WAVES SALON!! I am so satisfied with my experience here. I was stressing out coming from Hawaii to LBI for a wedding. I had to find last minute accommodations to get my hair and make up done for the wedding because my original plans fell through. After calling multiple salons, everyone said they were fully booked due to the holiday weekend. The owner, Bill, could hear the panic in my voice and he made it his priority to move things around for me so that I could get my hair and make up done in time for the wedding. Bill made my LBI experience SEAMLESS!! I cannot thank him enough. And now on to the stylists! Janice did my UPDO - and she did a phenomenal job. I got so many compliments. She took her time and listened to what I wanted - made my dreams come true! I was very happy with my hair!! The make up artist (I'm terrible for forgetting her name) but she did an AMAZING job as well!! I never wear make up so I was a little nervous about the make up portion. I didn't want to look unrecognizable to my friends and family! She did such an amazing job listening to my requests and giving me a very natural look. She checked with me throughout the make up process to make sure I was liking what she was doing. I really appreciated her patience and kindred spirit! I got the air brush make up to get a more natural look. I was very pleased! It was worth every penny!! I would HIGHLY recommend beach waves salon. Everyone was very kind to me from the moment I walked in. I had to wait just a few minutes for my hair, and one of the girls asked if I wanted coffee or water. She served me water. Top notch salon. I was attending a wedding at the Hotel LBI and needed a salon to do my hair and makeup. I am so glad I found this salon. They were wonderful. Make up artist was wonderful. I never wear makeup so I just wanted the natural look. She did a beautiful job. My hairstylist was a wonderful women who had here work cut out for her. She did an amazing job. I could not have been happier. I had to upper to the salon that morning and the owner was nice enough to give me a ride back to the hotel. Would definitely recommend this salon. read more

Went to Beach Waves today for the first time and am so glad I took the recommendations on line. Marci is truly amazing! She did an awesome job with my color and cut on my first visit with her. I felt very CoVID safe, everything is spaced out more than required and the salon is very clean, hand sanitizer available, everyone was masked, etc. I would not hesitate coming here for salon services if you haven't yet ventured out. read more

On July 24, 2019, at 3:12 PM (have call log on phone) I booked appointments for myself and my daughter-in-law to have updos done for a relative's LBI wedding on September 1, 2019, at 11:30 AM. I was told I would receive a confirmation call the day before, and when that didn't come, I called Beach Waves only to be told there was no record of my appointments being made. It was suggested that I might have made those appointments at a different salon, but again, have call log to their number, so that is not true. Therefore, can't rate services, as they were never performed, but highly recommend confirming, double-confirming, and even triple-confirming your appointment here. Needless to say, this has ruined an otherwise joyous occasion for our family, when we hoped to look our best. read more
