My hair used to be down to my lower back and health as can be and ai decided to use color remover from Sally's and it DESTROYED my hair!! I trimmed it myself but had to let it grow a whole year to allow my hair to grow back healthy before doing anything else. I was so nervous but I knew it was time to treat myself. I made an appointment with Heather and she knew exactly what I wanted based on the pics I showed her!! She did an amazing job! I can't speak to the negative reviews on here as I have only had good experiences at splashes. After moving to the area a year ago I have been twice to have my hair cut and colored by Cherisey, and each time have been more than pleased with the outcome. She does a fantastic job, and in addition, each time I have been pleasantly surprised by the total when I get to the register, as I have payed significantly more for the same services from other salons in the past. I never had an opportunity to have my hair done. I arrived for my appointment, which was scheduled 2 days prior, excited to have my hair done since it's been some time since I last had my hair highlighted only to be disappointed to find out I was not on the calendar. I really wanted my hair done but the best they could do was make an appointment for another day. Apparently, customers are not first at this establishment. I read the two negative reviews, and can't understand it. My experience of Splashes is very different. I have a regular person I see there, but if she's not going to be in when I can go, I see someone else. In this new location (3-4 years?), I've seen four different stylists, and all were very good. At their former location, I saw someone else who had since left. Anyway, the comment about the owner not liking highlighted hair is patently false. She is open to lots of colors and styles, and everyone has their own, unique look. This is a friendly place where you can get whatever you want. I recommend Splashes highly. read more

I have been using Cherisey at Splashes Salon for over 22 yrs and have never had any complaints about any service I have received! Cherisey and all of the stylist are knowledgeable, professional, and put out amazing results on their customers. I've had 2 family wedding parties have their hair done here, and all of the bridesmaids looked beautiful including the stunning brides! Appointments are easy to get, but I would recommend scheduling the next one before leaving. A friendly, clean, professional, and stellar hair salon. Perfect salon for south jersey with same old, same old cuts and color. Been coming for a few months and so far my cut and my color is totally uninspiring. The owner is this tiresome older woman with no vision. She likes when everyone looks the same. She insists hair color should be all one color and the minute you get some highlights or sun streaks (making you look human), she colors it right out of you. No snap, no pop, nothing. Everyone comes out of this shop sort of looking the same. I had been getting my haircut up in north jersey but the drive and the prices forced me to locally. A few months at this salon I am happy to make the drive and I would pay any price. But if you want to look like everyone else, nothing out of the ordinary, just come here, because pretty much everyone coming out of the shop looks exactly the same. read more

I have been going there for years. This year my highlights turned out horrible. Since they did not receive any of my messages in a certain time period they will not fix my hair. Which is pretty messed up when you have evidence of the time of one of the messages that were sent to them, and it was in the time period of their policy. So if they mess up your hair, don't expect them to help you fix it without a cost. They don't care about their customers. You are just a walking dollar sign to them. Watch out, their business is like a Russian roulette. You might get a good hair style, you might not. So if you want to see your hair messed up, go to Splashes. read more

Best hair salon in the area. They are super friendly, professional, and do great work. Very reasonable pricing, they even call you to remind you of your appt the day before, which is very helpful to me. Samantha has been my stylist for 10+ years and I love her work. I also know the work of a couple of the other stylists there and they are also excellent. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I Love Love ths Salon. I do not know what the reviewer was talking about. I always get my hair done with highlights and low lights. I am always happy with my color and hair style. I've been to this salon 5 times. 3 of the 5 times were to correct coloring mistakes! This WOULD have been the sixth time...... And YES..... It was again, to fix the mistakes that were made while applying high and lowlights to my hair. Simple instructions.... Natural looking high and lowlights, and just a straight trim. I ware my hair back for work, I work in a professional environment, not in a rock band! I have bleach blonde racer stripes, & although my hair is long and is always just trimmed straight along the bottom, I now have random long pieces and random short pieces!!! I will now have to take an additional 2" off my hair just to straighten it out!!!! I have sat in the owners(Bonnie) chair for between 4 n 5, first to do my hair, then again to FIX my hair! I have been MORE than tolerant, I have paid my bill and NEVER written a bad review.... This time however.........I am embarrassed to leave my house, and when trying to make a ASAP appointment to fix my hair...... Everyone's TOO busy, and I can't get in with anyone other than the owner (Me thinks not) until a week later!!! NOW, I'm writing a review! The lack of concern and sence of urgency, especially where the owner is involved, BLOWS MY MIND! I have disputed the charges, and will have my hair FIXED elsewhere!!!!!! read more
