The massage is always very thorough and progresses in a very logical order. There is also a table shower option included, which I always take. The feeling of being very clean to start the session helps me to relax. The fee of $60 for 60 minutes is also very reasonable. My decision to make the short drive here from LBI is an easy one given the quality of the massage.

At ~$60 for a week pass, it provides enough of the basics to stay on track, even if the equipment is noticeably dated. However, a couple of issues this week highlighted how much this location is treated as low priority compared to their mainland gym. First, basic equipment and customer service were lacking. When I asked the front desk attendant for an exercise mat, I was told flatly that they didn't have any at this location. When I pressed further about why a gym wouldn't have something as fundamental as a mat, he mentioned I might find one upstairs, explaining that he usually works at the mainland spot where they keep mats and bands. That location is great, but for a seasonal gym open three months a year specifically catering to LBI vacationers paying premium short-term rates, simple fitness basics shouldn't be a treasure hunt. (For anyone looking, I did eventually find a couple of mats tucked away in the corners of the women's workout room). Second, the complete lack of bike parking is becoming a real issue. Vacationers on the island rely heavily on bikes to get around, yet there isn't a single bike rack on the property despite having plenty of space for one. Yesterday, I had to lock my bike in front of the neighboring accountant's office. A staff member there politely asked me not to lock it there because a bike had just fallen into a client's car the day before. Meanwhile, there were about eight unlocked bikes leaning against the building wall, and a couple laying down, partially blocking the shared sidewalk. Adding a simple bike rack seems like a no-brainer for a reasonable business serving an island town. Bottom line: It has most of the heavy iron and basic cardio equipment you need for a quick vacation workout, but management really needs to invest in a bike rack and ensure basic floor equipment and helpful customer service aren't limited to the mainland facility.

It's a cute boutique like salon and very clean I started with the Facial (Not Sure it was even a facial) no extractions done on me nor my daughter. The owner left us in a room for 15 min after she applied a mask... Not sure she knew what she was doing... As for the massage, well my daughter and I loved Lisa!!! She gave us a 1 hour massage and hit every pressure point!! My pedicure, again I had the owner and not so good.. I am new to the area so I will continue to look for places that I can become a regular customer.

Actually, it was cool, refreshing, and forced me to simply relax...something I rarely do! The spa's ambiance is lovely...clean and quiet with a friendly staff who are very accommodating. Refreshing, too, there was no attempt to hard sell product. They do sell water if you forget yours, and there is a small room with gym equipment. The calendar is often not out until the first day of the month, which is a bit of a hassle. A week ahead would be good. They don't put childcare on the internet calendar or the exact types of classes so do not go by that! It all says "dance mix" online and that is not the real schedule. I also would love for the staff to put up a "NO GUM" sign in the facility....there have been a few classes where someone is snapping/popping their gum and it throws off the rhythm and beat and several of us lose our count and mess up the routine. It makes for a frustrating environment. I don't understand how you can workout and chew gum anyway!
