Everyone that we have interacted with at this practice has been friendly and professional. The optometrists are friendly, easy to talk to, (seen both daughters) take their time with you and really are thorough with the exam and with explaining everything to you. The staff are friendly and approachable and very patient- oriented. They have a really good selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses and the opticians are very patient & helpful while you go through and select different frames. I have nothing bad to say and I'm very thankful to find this practice as our prior eye doctor's office drastically "changed" during & after the pandemic, to where we did not want to continue there. I absolutely love coming in to see Dr. Janay and the whole team at Beachside Optometry. For my appointment, I had to bring 4 of my kids in, including newborn twins. All the staff and Doctors were so kind and helpful. Dr. Germundsen came by to wish me congratulations and when the babies were crying Dr. Janay held one for me without hesitation. I was experiencing some difficulty in one of my eyes and I was concerned that I might have an infection. I had my first appointment scheduled to see the doctor at Beachside Optometry next week and I called and asked if they would be willing to see me today because I needed somebody to check my eye and make sure I was OK. They were very accommodating, I went in late afternoon and I was absolutely amazed at the efficiency and the thoroughness that they showed me with the exam they gave me as well as the advice. Dr. Kevin Germundsen is a gem and I have been visiting him for over 30 years! Basically my whole life. He has taken care of my entire extended families eyes and we have followed his practice wherever he has gone. With that being said, I highly recommend Dr. G as well as this office for any and all your eye care needs. Dr. G really cares about your eye health and will go out of his way to make you feel comfortable and explain what he is doing in clear and understandable terms. The staff is courteous and professional and always have smiles on their faces. Office visits are fast and can often be done on lunch breaks (which I do each year). Been going here for about 2 years for myself and my 12-year old son. They really work hard to get you what you need. I have glasses but wanted contacts. They worked with me until we found something that worked for my hard to fit vision issue. My son looks great in his new glassses. They broke within the first few months, but they sent them in for repair under warranty. Their frame selection is wonderful. And I'm really picky about frames. Lately, it's been really hard to get an appointment, which is the only challenge. read more
