Food/Drinks: Came with my family to get some breakfast, and I really enjoyed the hot chocolate. The mugs were bigger then usual mugs and the portion of the drink was pretty big. I also got avocado toast with eggs, and the avocado was nice and fresh. I'm not the biggest fan of their home fries, but that's just personal preference. I overall did enjoy my meal, and I'd definitely come back when I come to visit again. Location: This location is modern, yet it has a really cool vintage aesthetic, especially when you walk in and see the bar area. It's very spacious and perfect for a breakfast day, spending time with the family, or even going on a solo brunch. Sitting at the bar would be ideal. If I'm not mistaken, this location did not have parking, and we did have to look for street parking. It was a tad tedious because it is a pretty busy street, Still, it is worth going to. My wife and I visited during lunch on a Saturday afternoon while roaming the shops of beautiful downtown Beacon. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown. The restaurant was busy but we were able to score a table. My wife ordered the Falafel burger with a side salad and I ordered the Vegan pancakes with Strawberries, bananas, and a side of homemade sausage. My wife loved her burger. Fat burger cooked fresh and on a brioche bun. My pancakes were good. Just the right amount of sweetness but very light on the bananas and strawberries. The homemade sausage was excellent. Two flat patties. Service was friendly but just ok. The prices are higher than your normal establishment for breakfast or lunch. Rent in Beacon is probably high. There is street parking but you are better off finding a public lot. The bathrooms were clean which is always a good thing. read more

I didn't taste the sourdough but I am sure it was incredible. The MAPLE BUTTER was perfect. It had the perfect amount of maple that was not overpowering - very well balanced. It came with seasoned fries which I normally don't love but I enjoyed them. We got orange juice that was clearly straight from the orange! Cute cafe with full service in the back with really outstanding bread. Came here for a later lunch and sat in the back. The menu looked really great, like there was no bad option. The special was grilled cheese with tomato soup, which on a cold day was perfect. While no one in our party was drinking, the cocktail list looked great! Sticking with the Counter Culture coffee, I was so torn between a lighter lunch option and a breakfast burrito - but I know I will be back for one of those insanely good looking breakfast burritos. I went with the chipotle tuna wrap. Very satisfied with my side salad option and the greens were really fresh. My wrap was epic. I seriously thought about taking half home - look at the portions in the pics! Everyone's lunch was shareable but I ended up finishing my delightful lunch. It doesn't look like much dining area, but once you get past the counter area, there's a large sit down eating area. They easily accommodated our party of seven. My first stop off the train for my day trip in Beacon. I didn't really have much planned out, as sometimes I just like to go by feel. I may be weird but I just love a tomato soup especially when the sky is profusely sobbing. I don't know why I expected a big tomato soup with a small grilled cheese, but it was really a big grilled cheese with a small tomato soup. But that's on me. I gotta own that. Personal accountability. The grilled cheese was solid, but it wasn't the best I've had. It really was more for show as the cheese spills out of the end of the bread, but there's not much cheese in the middle. As my middle school basketball coach would always say "Don't bite on the pump fake! Never leave your feet!" But dipping the grilled cheese in the tomato soup was everything you dream about as a little kid. I used to do this with spaghettios and a grilled cheese my Granny would make me hahahaa. The contrast in the toasted bread with the softness of the tomato soup is a combination everyone should experience once in a lifetime. But yeah, overall a great experience. One of my friends who lives in this area have spoken highly about this brunch spot. She said they usually have long lines on the weekends so she has not been able to try it out yet. We got here around 9 am on a Sunday and we did not have to wait for a seat. We got seated right away - the place is pretty big and the staff was super friendly. The front of the place - you can order coffee or pastries to go and in the back they have seating areas and they had some booths and the lighting was great. Overall - very warm and welcoming. My girlfriend and I went here for brunch, I got the Tofu Scramble ($18.75), it was described as seasoned tofu, spinach, mushroom, olives, peppers & onions. side of fresh tomato & avocado with dressed baby arugula. I'm only now noticing I did not receive avocado on my plate. Unfortunately, I think the description made the food sound more delicious because it kind of sucked. It needed way more salt and flavor. Of course, I ate it all. Why wouldn't I? The saving grace was the bread that they make in-house every morning. My first visit was in August of 2023, when I ordered their vegan pancakes. I honestly don't recall a lot about it, but I remember them being decent for vegan pancakes. Our waiter was great, and he recommended me this awesome Hibiscus lemonade or Hibiscus Arnold palmer. I cannot remember which one it was, but it was delicious! I savored it like crazy. Also, a fun story for the crowd - one time we ate here and the lady next to us asked for her burrito to come unwrapped. Of course, it came partially wrapped and she nearly lost her mind. Why are you ordering a burrito if you need it unwrapped? Please. Most recently, we came here and luckily got the last loaf of sourdough bread. I'm not sure if it was just because it was the last loaf and the afternoon, but there was no squishiness to the bread and no good crinkle. The town of Beacon is super artsy and walkable and charming!!! We met friends here for lunch on a beautiful afternoon. We did not have any trouble finding a place to park- yay! The dining room is tiny but that is pretty standard for the area. Our server was good- friendly and kept an eye on us but did not keep interrupting our conversation- so we appreciated that. As for the food... ehhhh. I got the tomato soup and it had a good flavor but it was barely even warm... My husband got a burger and fries. The fries were good but the meat patty seemed like it was of the frozen variety and the bun was very dry. So needless to say the food was not a big success. The eating area is not as big so they run out of tables very fast, hence the 40 minutes wait, but by the time we left there were plenty of tables available. Do not recommend this place if you're visiting Beacon and looking for a meal. The food was, put plainly, OK. Pun intended. We ordered the raised ranch sandwich and brisket with eggs. The grilled chicken sandwich was fine, nothing special. The bun was great! So I would opt for any types of their bread if you are set on visiting. The brisket and eggs were definitely not good. All the food was smashed to one side of the tinfoil bowl. The tortilla that is meant to come with the dish wasn't included and we had to ask for one which they then brought out a cold one which was extremely bland and dry. The brisket was drenched in normal BBQ sauce and the everything was seasoned to the MOON with pepper. After we placed an order for takeout I proceeded to head to towards the back of the restaurant and asked the wait staff where their bathroom was. After doing so, the barista that overheard my question yelled out to the rest of the restaurant, "IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BATHROOM THERE ARE OTHER PUBLIC RESTROOMS FOR YOU TO USE [at x location]". I was very uncomfortable by this given we just placed an order and were supporting the business. I also saw the barista tell a customer that was picking up their order, "yes, we've been calling your name for a while now" in a very sassy tone. Not the most friendly of environments. I was happy that we placed a to-go order. The wait for a table was 1.5 hours when we stopped by and it took 30 mins when we opted for takeout. No problem! Just expect a little wait over the weekend. My party thought it was the best dish we had ordered (5/5) Poutine - great flavor and seasoning! Fries were still crispy when served. (4/5) Chicken and waffles - my personal fave!
