The room was sparse and lacked the charm you would normally associate with a Bed & Breakfast. In fact, there wasn't much about Seaside Inn that made me think Bed & Breakfast. You never meet the owners/operators, just pick up/drop off your key in the entry way. There is no hot breakfast, just an assortment of muffins, Danish and fruit waiting in your room upon check-in. Decorations are sparse and honestly, this place could benefit from some TLC (water spots on the ceiling, worn and stained carpet on the stairs, etc). Not to mention the paper thin walls. Needless to say, it was not what I was expecting for a $220 a night Bed & Breakfast. View from the private patio was very nice and location was super convenient. Made the best of our night, but I doubt we will be back.

He only cares about his reputation and how his park looks, he does not like kids and sent out messages to the people staying here recommending them to call Child Protective services if they see any kids playing outside. Bathrooms were frequently dirty, especially on Saturday and Sunday. I am never staying here again. I stayed with my wife and four children. This park is NOT family friendly. We would get mass text messages detailing various different authorities to call to complain about things as simple as children playing outside. The policing by the manager and Clear Lake Shores/Kemah was very excessive. Police would stop at people's homes at midnight to ask for directions to calls where guests should not be bothered by police absent involvement in the call. I saw this happen multiple times. A friend of mine who used to stay out in the park alleged she was assaulted and reported it and retaliation/harassment twice. The manager did not want to assist her by making the man leave or provide video evidence to have the man prosecuted for making it appear he was going to ram her ebike coming up the driveway. There is a convicted sex offender in the park. There were recently criminals staying in the cabins on and off as they do not do background checks. I do not reside in the park anymore. Lee is only concerned about maintaining a resort-style image and his own reputation and ignored significant guest safety concerns, allowing people to be touched against their will and harassed with slurs and name calling. Someone should not be called a B or F by another guest and then that harassment is ignored by management. Management should be addressing those situations. They need to address the steel rebar and unsafe wood hand railing on the docks before some gets seriously injured by the metal rods sticking out of the shore line. A child is going to fall off that pier and there will be a lawsuit to follow if that happens. One guests was even firing a projectile weapon out of his cabin door. The person later disappeared. I observed it when I was taking trash out. The park is not lgbtq friendly. If you take concerns about someone calling you by homophobic slurs to the park manager, the park manager will not get involved or assist you in preventing further anti-gay or lesbian insults being spoken against you by other ill spirited guests. I saw this happen to someone. It was mostly Republicans and rich people passing through. Edit: after I left the manager asked another guest that is staying there where I live. The manager appears to be trying to get at me personally since I have left 2 reviews for his park staying my experience.

Lago Mar Lagoon or Lagoonfest during the summer is definitely overhyped on social media. On an…read moreordinary day, it's a glorified residential pool with a beach vibe, including sand that has been brought in. However, in the summer, it opens to the general public for an admission fee and has summer concerts, food vendors, and a plethora of all the water sports/activities. Residents get about a quarter of the lagoon, while the remaining three-quarters belong to the general public. On the general public side, you can rent SUPs, clear kayaks, spend time on the water obstacle courses, and take a boat ride around the lagoon. Inflatables are allowed, but only foam-based ones; no bringing your own unless they meet that rule. Unfortunately, since Lago Mar Lagoon is such a family friendly place, you know darn well you haven't left the country to somewhere exotic with the amount of screaming and running you'll witness. If you hear a whistle every few hours, it means the pool is being cleaned and everyone must get out of the pool until it's cleared for re-entry.

We stayed at this park in December on our way from Florida to Arizona. While we were there, the adjacent property had construction equipment running all day, and they were tearing down trees along the water's edge outside the park fence and leveling the ground. Our site was on the East side backed up to the property under construction. The noise didn't bother us too much as it was mostly during the day. I walked my leashed pup around the park a few times a day. They had pet clean up stations around the park to pick up after your pet. There was a pavilion with BBQ grill that you could use, as well as a playground for the kids. They also had a pool up by the office inside a gated area with rules posted. It was a good stop on our trip and I may return again if I'm in the area.

New flat screen tv, a very comfortable bed, and a cute kitchenette. We were very pleased with the room and location. We were just 12 miles from downtown. The staff doesn't speak great English but they are nice and try their hardest to understand. We did get over charged $20 but Pete resolved that incident real fast. The only thing I didn't like is, there was no breakfast. They served individual wrapped blueberry muffins. And there was only 3 when we got down there and we didn't have any extra toilet paper. Don't let the look and surrounding area turn you away. They are under construction right now, but we didn't hear anything those 2 nights. I recommend this hotel to anyone!
