My fiancé and I got engaged in Jan 2019 and after venue shopping and planning, we were referred to Yvette in May 2019. At the time, we decided to not do a pop up since we ended up deciding to do a wedding on a cruise in 2020. Well obviously that fell apart thanks to the pandemic! Yvette was there to save the day! We were hoping things would get better in 2020 but COVID cases kept rising so we said screw it, let's do the pop up wedding! And we are SO happy that we did! We didn't want to do a huge party and spend thousands on a wedding but we got the upscale wedding look for so much less. Yvette and her team were offering these COVID packages (see their Instagram to see if still on going) and we had an officiant, seating for 25, cake, photographer venue and decorations all for under $2000. My family was worried that since we were spending significantly less than the average wedding cost that it wouldn't be as nice. In fact, we were criticized prior to the wedding, but then the day of the wedding arrived and they were in awe. It was so romantic and beautiful. Yvette and her team added flowers, candles and just made the night so magical. The cake was delicious and over all the experience was dreamy and magical. Pop Up Weddings Houston also go beyond the pop up wedding bookings. Yvette does weddings of all sizes! They actually do wedding give aways on their instagram so check it out if you're recently engaged! They also work with vendors/partners who provide live streaming services, photo booths and more! Anyways, major thanks to Pop Up Wedding Houston! I am totally referring my engaged friends to them! My husband and I first visited this venue one night after visiting several venues. We were only…read moreable to see the inside of the building since it was dark. It smelled nice & clean. Before the owners told us to look around, they told us about a few repairs they would be making inside. That was not a problem. They went over a few details stating we had to clean the venue after our event & turn off the AC, and a few other things. They stated, we did not have to break down tables & chairs. We went home & paid the full contract price. A few days later, I visited the venue with my decorator. The owner told her the same thing she mentioned to me on the first visit. We notice an ugly cardboard thing in the window & asked for it to be covered. The owner said no, it should have been addressed before paying my money . I asked for a copy of the contract & was told they don't give copies but they have record of it. Contracts are for both parties involved not just the owner. I asked for an additional hour & when I went to pay it, they had raised the price to $65 when it was originally $50 when I "signed" the contract. A day before my event, they sent me a text to clean the venue, turn off the air, AND BREAK DOWN ALL THE TABLES AND CHAIRS! I have never rented a venue where I had to break down tables and chairs after an event. Their terms and conditions state that we are to leave the venue the way we received it. We received the venue with tables w/covers & chairs w/covers. We were also told we would be able to enter the building at 11:30, which they changed at the last minute. This time was crucially needed for the decorating team. They are sweet kids, but I will never use this place again. Only because they were not honest with us, took advantage, and violated their own contract and texting us responsibilities that were not agreed to in the terms and conditions. I hate that I didn't get the same experience as others because I really wanted to support them long term.

The room was sparse and lacked the charm you would normally associate with a Bed & Breakfast. In fact, there wasn't much about Seaside Inn that made me think Bed & Breakfast. You never meet the owners/operators, just pick up/drop off your key in the entry way. There is no hot breakfast, just an assortment of muffins, Danish and fruit waiting in your room upon check-in. Decorations are sparse and honestly, this place could benefit from some TLC (water spots on the ceiling, worn and stained carpet on the stairs, etc). Not to mention the paper thin walls. Needless to say, it was not what I was expecting for a $220 a night Bed & Breakfast. View from the private patio was very nice and location was super convenient. Made the best of our night, but I doubt we will be back.
