Then the employee halfway through replacing them with worse generic although working bearings, said that they wouldn't be free, would cost 15$, and that he wouldn't switch them for the bones reds I wanted. After that I left and I tried it out for 3 seconds on their floor, however changed my mind and went back for the reds. Then the employee said that they didn't accept returns because I rode on it. TLDR services terrible.

He listened to my unique requests and provided insightful guidance; all while supervising a group of young local skaters. They are permitted to try the boards right inside the shop. He excused himself politely a few time to provide coaching and help to these young kids who were already helping each other learn the basics of skateboarding. It was inspiring to see.

When I was walked in I was instantly greeted and asked if I needed help with anything with I replied with yes and one of the guys who were working see to it that he helped me. He was really nice and put paper on my penny board even tho it had waffles he offered some great advice and we had a nice and friendly conversation, he did an amazing job on my board and while I was there another guy can in and even tho I did not know him he was really friendly and they both said goodbye as I was leaving. She was fitted for a size 1 ice skate and I was hesitant because I had just sized up her sneakers to 2s. I was assured there was plenty of room and deferred to them on it. Of course a month later she was complaining about them being too small. We came back to Peck's and they exchanged them for 2s and only subtracted $20 from the refund for her having worn them for a month. They had some scuffs and the insoles showed her feet print but they were otherwise in pristine condition. It was a better deal than I hoped for and I sincerely appreciate the accommodation of her growing feet. It goes to show how important customer service is because we will for sure be customers for life now (she really loves skating so it seems like we will stick with it, ha see what I did there?).
