Not an auspicious start. We went to this Dick's specifically because they are one of a handful that has Hittrax to try out softball bats. If I'm spending $500 on a bat, I absolutely want to see how effective it will be before purchasing. When we arrived, they had rented out the Hittrax for a BIRTHDAY PARTY. What??? It wasn't even a softball related party. It was a bunch of little kids playing kickball in a space that was designed to allow people to test pricey gear before buying. They should not be renting this space for ANYTHING. It should be available for what it is intended for. When we asked the staff to help us locate the bats we were looking for, they were too busy with their conversation to pay us any mind. They finally agreed to help but only for a minute or two. They went back to their gabbing while we tried, in vain, to pull bats from the top rung. When we finally looked through everything, the selection they had was fairly uniform with 5 or 6 bats in one length and drop and none in any other. It was annoying.
