The radar began having issues not long after installation, and despite two service visits, the problem was never resolved. What's most frustrating is that the issue was reported during the warranty period, but instead of fixing or replacing the faulty unit at that time, the business delayed and failed to take effective action. Now that the warranty period has passed, they've acknowledged the radar itself has failed but are refusing to cover the cost of replacement or labor--leaving me to deal with the consequences of a defective product and an incomplete installation. Their only offer is to bill me for further work on a unit that was never properly addressed in the first place. I expected better service and accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would caution others to be careful before trusting them with high-value marine electronics.

I called West Marine in Stratford and they didn't have any. I called Milford Boat Works and they had it which made me happy as I am from Milford and didn't have to go out of my way. Since it was raining, I decided to get some rain gear for my trip. Milford Boat Works had just what I needed. And, you know how the saying goes, if you have rain gear, the sun will be shinning! So true. Staff at MBW are very friendly and helpful. I also saw some other items that I needed at home. Tubing for my water fountain is sold by the foot so I was able to pick that up as well.

In that time, I purchased a used motor (lasted less than 1 year), then a rebuilt (lasted less than 1 year) then a new motor (still in use). I also had you do thousands of dollars of other repairs and maintenance. I did hit a rock and brought the boat to you. The damage was cosmetic. I used the boat for 4 months after hitting it with no problems. As discussed, I brought it to you off-season so you could fix the cosmetic damage (weld on a new skeg). The first time I used it after your "repair", the lower unit failed (quite a coincidence) - most likely as the result of having no gear lube in it. Only you would blame an incident that happened a year earlier rather than the work that was done (by you) on the failed component (lower unit) only days earlier. Had a terrible experience here and cost me in repair at another marina 12k. First the owner is a…read moreretired fireman and has no clue about boats so he relies on his mechanic Matt to do all the work.That should of been a red flag for me not to do business with an owner that doesn't do it for a living I have twin 2017 300hp Verados on my Boston Whaler and got charged $2,500 for a full tune up including both gear case oil changes,engine oil,impeller spark plug etc.. When I put my boat in the water one of the lower units blew. I took it to it to another marina and they told me that this happened because all my 4 drain plugs oil and gear case oil plugs where finger tight and never tightened with a socket wrench and my seals where ripped and never changed which is mandatory when you do a Mercury tuned up. (see attached photo) I had sea water in both my engines and both my lower units. When I called the owner Don of Guilford boat yard to inform him of what happened he got really nasty and rude with me and told me I was on my own and didn't want anything to do with it.
