Staff who assisted me were extremely helpful. In fact, she went over and above to find what I needed. We had a nice discussion about beads and other things. Amy went out of her way to help me get my necessary things solved even to the point of cutting me a brand new sterling silver necklace, I love that they have some great upcoming classes that you need to look at for December but that's a crazy month, so January would probably be a better to take advantage of the talents! This store has everything... strands of gemstones, individual gemstones, stringing supplies, tools, rows of findings in gold, silver, brass, and lovely Czech glass assortment and an entire wall dedicated to different size/color of seed beads. I could spend hours at a time in here! Karen [the owner] is always adding new finds to the shop. Her staff is wonderful! Very helpful and creative. If you are new to making jewelry or want a refresher, they also offer classes [to which I've done several]. Can't make it person..... you can order online! And they have weekly sales specific items as well as a 40% off coupon if you join their email list.... which is full of great info and you may even find a tutorial for the latest fashion trend. I love this store! Sometimes I go multiple times a week because I come in for one project and get inspired for another. The selection of beads and classes is unreal. There's so much to see but it's so organized that you don't feel overwhelmed. The service is wonderful! Everyone is so helpful yet gives you space to browse. For example Dorothy did a wonderful job helping me decide on some Turquoise for my next project. I would have initially given this place 5 stars, as the classes were wonderful! They were all very fun, and I felt like a learned a lot. I have definitely taken up a passion for jewelry making. However, since I have started taking classes there, I have tried to use this place as the main source of my jewelry items, but I have found many items missing. They keep saying that they will get the items soon, but they never seem to come in. While some of the staff is extremely helpful and nice, there are also some very rude staff members. Plus, the owner seems to be a jerk from what I've heard. read more

I have been to this establishment a few months back. I was told I could bring in a project and/or hire for an hour. I have not been treated as poorly on any retail than I just did. Very condescending. I asked if I could show my project. She said as long as it isn't intrusive. I can't fathom intrusive in a bead store. She said she had no suggestions. I mentioned wire where she directed me to an area. Then had the audacity to say I should have planned better. These things are taking into account beforehand. Didn't matter these charms were being made for PTSD awareness. I will not use this business for anything. Please pass this to those who believe in great customer service. I am brand new to jewelry making and this place was recommended by a co-worker. This place is wonderfully organized and has beautiful beads of all varieties. For me the most impressive part is the service. The young woman behind the counter answered my ton of questions, asked if I'd signed for the newsletter so I can get my discount coupons and more! What surprised me was her willingness to share her newbie experiences as a jewelry maker and her genuine encouragement. I then spent 3 hours examining/purchasing gemstone beads, crystals from around the world; and components for every need. I felt energized by discussions among other shoppers and staff. They have another brick and mortar Bead shop in Phoenix, and also new store on the web; for all venues, the hold high standards, consistently providing beads of excellent quality. There were many "regulars" in the store, as well as others looking for particular exceptional stones or materials, or needing help with a project. The store also offers classes, advise if asked, and coupons. Was a different craft to do & she has a 2 nice little keepsakes to say she made them all by herself. They have all the tools for jewelry making, and everything from imported silver, glass, crystal, plastic, letters, charrms, leather, silk - the list goes on. The staff is wonderful and the selection is amazing. I have taken several beading classes here and the teachers are friendly and offer individualized attention no matter how many students. I recently emailed a picture of a bracelet I would like to make. They didn't have them in stock because they needed to be ordered from the Czech Republic. Wow, that is what I call customer service!
