I tried calling the store on multiple occasions and never got a call back, however the owner texted me and I responded with questions and she left me on read. I ordered an item from this shop and, at first, had a moment of shock at the $55 shipping cost for a pair or earrings. However, I wanted them and figured I'd get nothing but exceptional service for that cost. Website says that most items ship in 2 days. So I asked for an update on day 2 when my item hadn't shipped. After hours of no response, I wrote again saying I'd prefer to cancel as I had found the item for less (half the price!) elsewhere (and with normal shipping charges). Of course, after this email, Misty responded almost immediately with a single sentence, near illegible email, that was littered with typos and grammatical errors. She essentially said it takes 3 days handling and it'll go out the next day. At first I was willing to give this shop a chance and for a coveted item. I was willing to pay more and expected to be treated with respect at the very least. If I were pocketing over $40 free after shipping costs for shipping alone and charging twice the going value for something, I'd be jumping up and getting that item shipped with gratitude. However, the attitude of the owner was nothing but nasty and entitled from the get go. Why should I pay extra for that? I responded that I chose to cancel the order and that she should refund my charge and to please notify me when that happens. I never heard from her again and she never refunded my order which was never sent. I had to open a dispute with my credit card to get the chargeback. I have a record of the entire series of events. She probably thought she was getting the better of me by keeping the item and my money. But I knew it would go in my favor, and it did, so it was no sweat off my back. If she had been polite and understanding from the beginning, I would have looked at her shop in the future. But there's no way I would do business with someone like this ever again. read more

Interesting store for those who like vintage pieces or second hand purses and shoes. The prices on everything seemed fair as they are name brand items. She carried a few purses that were Chanel and some old school Louis Vuitton luggage. In this day, I can't image carrying that huge bag without wheels but fun to see the distressed vintage piece. She definitely had some intriguing clothing items but overall everything was too pricey for me to buy. I don't appreciate vintage clothing for that high of a price. That being said those who love the old chic styles this is your store. While I was in there, a girl tried on a coat that seemed very colorful and she had thought maybe $500 but the sales girl said $1600. We were both stunned by that price. She didn't buy it. So four stars for the ambiance but this caters to those who are comfortable spending $400 on a costume piece necklace or more. I won't be back but I enjoyed browsing and seeing the items. read more

I've been in the valley since 1972 and have seen many vintage stores come and go. There are so many wonderful items in this store, all hand picked and in pristine condition. In her Scottsdale 5th Ave location, she's got lots of hidden gems but check out her online selection as well on Etsy, Facebook and Twitter.. They have a great selection of items and owner misty as an owner helped us but I was a little dismayed. My wife bought vintage Chanel earrings but as it came to pass the earrings were not authentic, Chanel stamp was not present, the metal was not quality and material was already deteriorating and owner admitted the attached beads were not authentic. She gladly returned the items which my wife and I were thankful for. I understand that while vintage shopping isn't always guaranteed, an item being sold as authentic and knowingly sell them without disclosing that information, is just not okay ... just make sure you know what you are buying. Let me tell you that if you've read any of my reviews, when the reviews are about fashsion, you know by now that I am a lover of vintgage clothes especially when I'm looking for something and not estate shopping for inventory. My dearest sister, who lives in AZ mapped out a few vintage shops nearby and we took to the streets and I encountered 'Vintage By Misty (VBM).' Let me tell you this shop/boutique is so vintage chic and classy; it's one of places where you and a couple of girlfriends can hang out, sip a cocktail or two, and shop at the same time all the while trying on some of most stylish vintage clothes (shoes, handbags, dressess, jewelry, etc.). The owner is cool and so engaged (not to the point of irking you) and really knows her vintage.....I like when the associate is fashionably knowledgeable cause there's always a story to tell about vintage clothes. The clothes are in pristine condition and the range of colors and styles gives this boutique the appearance of a chic vintgage fashion house. Unfortunately, the item/dress I wanted did not fit, and although there were other nice pieces, it was that one I tried on I really wanted. But the time spent at VBM was well worth it and so I was out the door with a smile, and my wallet burning to find another vintage shop and find that prize piece. read more
