First time visitor this morning, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I was greeted promptly and courteously by a gentleman I assume was the owner. He was patient while explaining which brewed coffees were available, asked about my preferences and recommended Midnight Oil. He also helped me choose ground coffee to bring back to the house. Never once did he make me feel like a nuisance or that I was taking time away from him. My coffee was delicious and the service I received exceeded my expectations. Really, really good coffee, lattes, and baked goods. We looked forward to going every morning of our vacation. If the jalapeno cheddar scones are available when you stop in, do yourself a favor and grab one, they are perfect! The shop also has really nice stuff, an eclectic and tasteful selection of things that are a nice departure from your typical souvenir store. Nice owner, good assortment of coffees, teas, and specialty drinks, but a very limited selection of pastries. But all in all great local establishment with plenty of gifts and accessories. I really appreciate how there is a book there with all of the local menus. Been driving through this plaza for many years - always a pleasurable place. And I only recently found out that this whole "Chicomicomico" was all about. Turns out it refers to the collection of Waves, Salvo, and Rodanthe. I also heard from someone else that some bumpkins couldn't spell the name correctly and went with 'Rodanthe." Seems pretty far-fetched. read more

The store area is very cute and has some interesting knickknacks however most of their items are overpriced. As for the actually coffee aspect of the shop, the customer service was horrendous. The woman that takes orders in particular was extremely rude to me on more than one occasion. They are only open for 4 hours a day and display such a terrible attitude. I recommend going about a half mile down the street to Forbes located at Kitty Hawk Kites. They're customer service is far superior and they're menu has a much better variety. read more

I've been to this coffee shop a few times, first when they were just across the street last year. The man and women that are usually there were extremely rude then. I went to the new location recently to try it again. I'll just say they were both just as rude if not more rude now. Mind you I was the only one in the shop at this time. And apparently many others have had the same experience. For a owner to act that way over a simple question is a bit immature. The coffee was pretty good so I'll give two stars, but I can wait 20 more mins in a car for a better experience in the next town. Never again read more

My boyfriend and I were vacationing in Rodanthe in October, and we went to get coffee here because it was a stone's throw away from where we were staying. We probably went here three or four times to get coffee during the week. Adorable little shop, the owner was a sweetheart. Any reviews here saying how the owners are rude must be mistaken or bitter about something in their own life because the husband, who served us most days, was as nice as could be, made small talk with us, and suggested local restaurants to try. The coffees were well made and very sweet, which I would prefer to drink as a dessert and not as the first thing I drink in the morning. But the flavors were inventive and cleverly named. I regret not trying just a regular drip coffee. We will be back to B&B the next time we are on the island! read more

The coffee was bomb. I got an orange creamsicle smoothie. Amazing. The price though wasn't as amazing. Ya girl is a little broke so it hurt me a little. Just so y'all know, if you want whip cream it's like an extra dollar. My drink was 5 but ended up being 5.97 with the whip cream. Kind of worth it though. read more

This has to be one of the worst customer service experiences I've had here in the outer banks. 7 of us stopped in for ice cream on Wednesday June 26 2019. When deciding on flavors my daughter asked to sample a flavor, the person helping us said we don't give samples and seemed annoyed. We continued ordering and when we were finished we went out on the deck to eat our ice cream. I tasted mine and I did not like it at all. I went back in to see if I could get something different. They said no they would charge me and I'm the first person to say they didn't like the coffee ice cream. I suggested they give samples and they said they don't because of the waste of plastic. I told them a lot of places use wooden spoons and the person scooping the ice cream said that would be to much work and an annoyance. Then she told me I should stick with what I like when it comes to ordering ice cream. I told her I did and that was the worst coffee ice cream I have ever tasted. We will never recommend this place or stop by here again. read more

Awesome coffee, ice cream, smoothies, etc. The workers/owners are so helpful and kind, and they treat you very well.
