Went looking for local coffee shops nearby and found this place! It's a large place with plenty of places to sit, saw people working and others just hanging with friends. The people working here were very friendly. You can also see the roasting room through glass windows. They have some food, toasts and a frittata, pastries. The latte I had was yummy, smooth espresso and pretty foam. Hubby enjoyed his as well. While waiting I saw the menu and found some other lattes I would try. I've been following this place on Instagram waiting anxiously for them to open. This place took over the coastal provisions restaurant so there's plenty of ample seating. The decor and architecture is really hip and cool. They make their syrups homemade and they are unique and different compared to other coffee houses around the area. The menu is easy to read and they keep their options simple and to the point. The barista was very kind and explained his favorite syrups to my sister. My sisters ordered the brown butter iced lattes and my bf ordered a vanilla bourbon coffee. I ordered the strawberry iced latte with cold foam. They were absolutely delicious! Definitely the best coffee we've had in a while. The espresso is smooth and dark; the brown sugar salted caramel is the perfect amount of sweetness. The strawberry' syrup was sweet and subtle but not overly sweet. The vibes over all are super beachy yet chic and it would be a good place to study or hang with friends. We all loved our coffees and will definitely be back!!! read more

Great coffee shop with a chill vibe! This unique spot is perfectly located on the way out of town and is a cool alternative to a Starbucks. The place is clearly very popular, so don't plan to get in and out with the same timing as a Starbucks. There was a pretty long wait once we ordered, but staff were clearly working hard and very friendly. The pastries were pricey but really good. Their menu did have some breakfast like options (avocado toast types of things) that I would assume would take longer to make. As it was the pastries we ordered warmed up took about 15-20 mins to get. Despite that, it was a pleasant experience and somewhere I'd go again! read more

After seeing all of the great reviews I was really looking forward to trying Shore Coffee Roasters. I ordered an iced coffee and unfortunately was not impressed. It wasn't strong and tasted like watered down leftover coffee. I tried the blueberry croissant as well, and it was okay! For the price of both, I was definitely disappointed that the flavor was not there. I plan to go back and try something else on their menu and hope for the best! Even though I didn't like my coffee or pastry, the shop itself was great! All of the workers were so friendly and kind, you could tell they enjoy working there. The place was very clean and well organized. There's a ton of natural light shining in, and plenty of places to sit to work, relax, or have coffee with a friend. In the words of my wife "it's a pretty cute spot, and I want to go there every day" and "this may the most expensive tiny coffee I've ever gotten". Super friendly staff, helpful and able to explain the menu and what they have seasonably. They barista even said "you made my day by taking a picture of this coffee, thank you". So great folks. The inside is that hipster vibe you'd expect in the city, but with with a coastal vibe. There are books to read and toys for the kids to play with, and it's impeccably clean. They roast their own coffee and make their cookies and pastries. As for value, it's on the steep side, but with everyone being so nice, you just want to come back. read more

We came around 9:30 on a Friday and it was very busy. There were about 6 people in front of us but the staff were super friendly and the line moved quickly. Love the clean, cozy ambiance. We were able to get a comfy seat at a table with only a little waiting. It was loud in here due to all the people but not excessively so. We got a Chai latte, maple tahini latte with oat milk, and a nitro with their homemade blueberry basil syrup. All were gorgeous and tasty! The chai latte is actual TEA, not the super mix with coffee that you may be used to. The maple tahini latte was very interesting; it was lightly sweet with a slight nutty, savory finish. Definitely delicious for me, as I like to get something a little different / out of the ordinary and I don't like my drinks too sweet. The blueberry basil nitro was also tasty and definitely an interesting combo as well. Their nitro was delish and gorgeous. read more

I visited Shore Coffee roasters on a Saturday of Memorial Day. Very busy, and the vibe was upbeat. Very spacious establishment. I was very optimistic but first issue was trying to get into parking lot, tons of traffic on 12 and difficult to make left. Once in Shore, trying to find the line to order was difficult with many patrons waiting on orders. Ordered a simple cup of coffee w/ splash of almond milk. As I waited realized very unorganized. In any event and after waiting over 15 minutes for coffee I found my way back on the order line and asked if order lost. The young girl said coffee w/ almond milk, went to an already brewed canister and then found the almond milk. No apology. I am a believer if you can't get the simple things right then no reason to think that you'll get the big things right. Any event won't be back anytime soon. I'll go to Starbucks for a $4 coffee as I know I'll get it in a reasonable time. read more

Beautiful place and clean concise design, good lighting for working environment. Friendly service. They only offer 2 sizes of coffee, 12 oz and 16oz- a little disappointing. I got th light roast, it was high quality, however, it was lukewarm at best. There was only one option for creamer out on the counter. To be fair, I did not ask if they had other options, so maybe they do and just not out for use. There was only natural brown sugar to add to your coffee. The croissant was delicious, but very overpriced -16oz coffee and 1 chocolate croissant = ~ $12 before tip. In my experience, its very pricey for what I got, lukewarm coffee ($4/16oz) and a good croissant. read more

This is a beautiful and class coffee shop in KH. Plenty of parking in front as it's at the end of a strip mall. There is plenty of seating and some soft music playing. They do offer small treats and some merch is available. But, it's all about the coffee and it's awesome! They have a La Marzocco machine and they put it to good use. The barista took care to make the drink with precision. The milk was expertly textured and she was able to produce some nice latte art despite a less than optimal shaped mug. Overall the drink was smooth and creamy with an excellent, rich flavor. If you are looking for a quality espresso based drink in the OBX, then make this a stop. read more

I travel around the country quite a bit, and visit lots of coffee shops. I'll get the bad out of the way first, then address the LOTS of good things. The only downside is that the decor is rather bland, but this place is less than a year old so I'm sure they have some ideas in the works. That being said, it is clean, roomy, there is lots of free parking and the staff is wonderful. The locals obviously love it, I'm here right now on a Monday morning and it is very busy. Now for the most important part: the coffee is excellent. Over the past few days I have had multiple roasts by multiple methods. Whoever is doing the in-house roasting is very talented and meticulous. I'm really glad I found this place as I travelled through the Carolinas and hope to visit again. Great job everyone! read more

Struggled between a 3 and 4 star rating. The place is beautiful inside. I could stay there all day. Trouble is, they only offer one brewed coffee per day. If it happens to be a light roast and you like strong coffee, you are out of luck. Also, there is no phone number available to call them to even ask about the brew of the day. The first time I went in, the staff was not at all knowledgeable about their coffees. They also didn't try to sell me a muffin to go with my coffee. I never even saw their selection of baked goods. On my second visit I had a better experience with a barista who told me about the coffee and also offered a muffin, etc. They need to move the display of baked goods (which is small) so that customers see them. I will keep going back until I hit a day when they decide to brew a dark roast. The coffee is not inexpensive, but I don't mind paying for a great cup of coffee. Can't speak to their fancy coffee drinks. They aren't my thing. read more
