Had Beale Carpet Cleaning clean my 11 year old hallway carpet and one of two bedrooms with wall-to-wall carpeting, and Buddy Beale did a wonderful job. He did warn me before hand that three lumpy areas in my hallway carpeting would not disappear with the cleaning, though. However, he explained that they also offer a carpet re-stretching service that would fix the problem. That re-stretching occurred today, by Buddy plus his "carpet guy," and the hallway carpeting is now entirely smooth over its entire length. Was a somewhat involved job because of interfaces with bedroom carpeting in two places, plus sliding pantry door panels on one side. But it was worth every penny; Beale's carpet guy had the specialized tools and all important experience to make the carpet re-stretching come out great. read more

Beale carpet has done my carpets for the last 3 years. They have great customer service, quick turnaround time, are very reasonably proved, and my carpets look better than new when they're done. This is the first review I have ever written but feel compelled to do so. After waiting 3 1/2 weeks for my appointment, Buddy refused to do the work. Buddy is overly fearful of COVID. That is his choice, but he should not be doing business until he is comfortable. When I made my appointment, he explained his COVID protocol and asked that no one be at home when he arrived. He did not want to be in the house with others. Despite the fact our home is 3600 sq. ft and the carpet he was to clean is hundreds of feet from the other side of the home, I agreed to be out of the house. He then wanted me off the premises. I told him that I would not leave the premises but we had 2 acres and we could stay way away from him outside. He recalled our home and agreed that outside would suffice. He instructed me not to welcome him but to be elsewhere outside and give him a call when he arrived. We did so. When Buddy arrived he did not even come down the driveway as he saw another truck on the premises. I called him and told him that we were all outside in the back and the truck was a window washer who had come early to ensure she did not interfere with his work in the house and was only working outside in the back. Buddy refused to come down the driveway as he was fearful the window washer may walk to her truck at some point. I pointed out that her truck was 150 feet from his truck and he would be inside. We were all outside, hundreds of feet away from where Buddy would be working (he would not even be able to see us), all wearing masks and are all vaccinated. Despite our assurances we would remain away and keep him safe, he refused to work with us. I then received a message from Jillian his wife accusing me among other things of being self centered. Hmm... who is the customer? While Buddy and Jillian are certainly entitled to their beliefs and apparent fears, they should NOT be accepting clients or doing business until they are able to work comfortably. The owner, Buddy Beale, local Sonoma guy came out and provided an estimate same day - on a Saturday 4th of July weekend. Buddy's wife mans the phone - she's super. When he arrived to measure the space and explained his method in detail, provided reasonable expectations of outcome with our old carpets and wrote up an estimate. Estimate was fair and Buddy does a four step process, which ensures that dirt doesn't get pushed deeper into the carpet. He notified us prior to arriving and was on time. Honestly, don't hesitate to hire this local husband and wife business! Pricing is completely realistic and affordable. I had a favorite rug that ended up living in a shed for a few years (eh my bad). It also had an old, major red wine spill. Jillian called me back after I made an inquiry. She told me not to drop it off, because her husband would come out and evaluate what he could do with the rug. Buddy was very friendly and spent time to talk about the job, but was honest about not making promises he couldn't keep, which is so refreshing and professional. (I had a smaller rug that was beyond help, and he pretty much made that clear, so I didn't waste my money.) Anyway, the rug is beautiful now, and looks like new to me. "B.B." (Buddy Beale, not Brigitte Bardot) did an outstanding cleaning job on our carpets today! Four large rooms + one hallway: an old light color carpet - almost 30 years old - with pet stains that I thought would never come off because they were so old and awfully noticeable. It was almost a miracle. Upon arriving, BB explained to me what the process was going to be, took his time to do everything meticulously - vacuuming, pre-conditioning, brushing the carpet, steam cleaning and starting the drying process with portable dryers. And the result is amazing. Needless to add that he was on time and called me about 10 minutes before getting to my place, as I asked him to do. Buddy recently cleaned my 18 year old sectional couch, which is still in good condition but really needed a good cleaning. Buddy did a very thorough cleaning job and took extra steps to get any spots. I forgot to have him clean a small decorative pillow and he even came back and cleaned that for no additional charge. Time for carpet cleaning and I chose Beale based solely on the advertising flyers that had been left at my front door. They are a local business, live here in Sonoma which gave me a feeling that they would be better than a national chain company, with who-knows-where they come from personnel. When I called for an estimate, I had to leave a message and my call was returned in ten minutes by a nice youg woman. After having my questions answered I asked to schedule for a Saturday and they had an appointment for the very next Saturday in the afternoon. Later on she called to say that her husband had an appointment in the morning cancelled, did I want that time slot? YES please. Buddy arrived at the appointment time promptly, explaining the process thoroughly and gave me a quote. Even helped move a dresser before getting started. The work was done efficiently and he was very pleasant to visit with. I was very happy to feel so comfortable with him in my home. He placed a fan to help speed the drying time and helped move a couple larger pieces of furniture back into place before leaving.
