You can view different falls, cascades, flow stones, and more from short distance strolls to overlooks, or delve deeper into the gorge for a closer view. Swimming is not permitted except in certain areas, so take notice, people have drowned here. Be careful when hiking and exploring the floor of the gorge as the dam can release water with limited warning. That being said, the Twin Falls and Great Falls are lovely, and the diverse landscape keeps the walk extremely interesting! Me and the dog did the Upstream and Downstream trails on the Twin Falls side, and the Gorge Trail on the Great Falls side, and while Dianne, they are steep and slippery, so wear proper shoes!

There's some upkeep needing to be done but I saw them busy working on some of those projects during our stay so that tells me they are striving to provide the best experience possible for their guests. This is a pet friendly campground. There's a play area for children and a pool for those warm weather months. There's a pavilion and a few spots to just sit on a swing and enjoy the day. Just this morning I saw a redheaded woodpecker. I'd recommend this campground for folks who love nature like we are. Id definitely return if we ever come by this way again.

Sitting on the underside of the bridge, you have no neighbors shy of the ranger residence up a private driveway leading to the visitor center / aviary area. With great access to trails, walking distance to the restaurant, and pretty much central to everything while being secluded and private at the same time. I did one of the ranger-led night floats, for a little history and a night sounds segments, which was also amazing! The park is relatively near to Chattanooga or Fall Creek Falls as well if you are interested in day trips!

So when we became aware of various Membership Lots for sale , we reached out to one of the owners looking to sell his membership. We were referred to the volunteer Membership Chairperson who sent us an application and told us we would need to attend an interview with other member participants and sit through an orientation process to be sure we understood the campground rules and regulations and had reviewed the bylaws. The Membership Chairperson was very helpful communicating with us through the application process and being flexible with the scheduling of our membership interview. After our interview / orientation meeting was over we finalized the deal with the listing member and waited for all receipts to clear before our membership transferred hands. We had the opportunity to meet and visit with several members in the community. We found the various members to be very friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to settling in for our first season of Paradise on the Plateau. This is something Florida needs to jump on board with. And there was so many great spots for ground camping as well as areas for campers/RVs. We spent a couple hours at the park doing the hike to the waterfall. It was pretty leisurely and the grade is mild so it made for a comfortable trek. If you are planning to hike here, drive as faaaaaar as you can before parking. If you choose to park in the first lots you'll be walking about a mile just to get to the trail head. The trails were beautiful and the waterfall is so fun! You really can climb and explore it, I would suggest bringing plenty of water to drink and shoes that you can walk through the water in.

July 15, 2026, I called Reservations (can't remember the name of the…read moregirl who took my reservations, although I wrote it down somewhere but when I hear it, I'll know it) & booked the dates of July 18th, Saturday, to July 21st, Tuesday of 2026; B65 was the location. I explained to the female that I had trouble with self-reservation online & I couldn't see the rest of the information in the dropdown box whenever I clicked, what looked like a location was available or as I understood it to be available. She took my reservation, REPEATED IT BACK to me correctly (in between putting me on hold about 2 or 3 times) and then gave me the price. I paid for it and she sent the email confirmation. I looked at the email and saw the date I called, the time & "18th - 21st." Cool. That Saturday morning of July 18th, I drove over 9 hours (got lost a little bit because of highway construction and GPS) but made it there. Went to the office lobby, gave my name & the campground location. "Brandy" is what the front desk girl asked me as my name. "No..." I responded and repeated my name. Well, long story short, she said Brandy had my spot, I was offered another location, I took it, showed her my confirmation and saw that the reservation girl had listed me as "Tuesday, August 18, 2026 arrival" and departure "Friday, August 21, 2026." I told the young lady at the desk of the conversation of my reservation and stated that although I didn't notice the month and days were incorrect, the reservationist spoke it correctly, so that's what I saw. The part that really got me, she said I had to pay $17.00 extra to go to the new location. I refused. I have worked in hospitality for years and I know how it works. I told her I wasn't upset with her but I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. I asked for a refund. Then I drove another 10 or so hours back home (because of traffic & getting lost trying to leave Spencer, TN). I'm just now leaving this review because I tried to forget what happened but each time someone asked me, who hadn't seen me since I returned, how my vacation went, as I replay the scenario, my emotional feelings of frustration, some anger & the memory of how exhausted I was, returns. I slept for 2 days because I had missed so much sleep just driving to TN then immediately returning home. Will I ever return to this campground? I doubt it. NO, I shall not. No one even apologized to me. All I heard was, "That'll be $17.00." My response, "17.00 for what? I'm paying?" Nooooo, I believe I'm done. Thanks for reading.

Many sites in campground C have a minimum to major slope to the concrete sites as they fall to a valley. All utilities are in the back corners of sites that include water spigot, a power pedestal with 20AMP, 30AMP, 50AMP electricity, and sewer connection. The campground did have decent guest WiFi, but we utilized our own StarLink satellite for internet. The park is amazing with golf, lodge, trails, and falls.

There is a big cabin in the back of the property and lots of trails. Nice shade trees and flowing fields of green. The place has a bath house the is kept neat and tidy. Everything everywhere was neat and clean. Sunshine at the front reception had a very bubbly and helpful personality. There are several different things to do while you are here. I liked exploring the woods that led to a small waterfall . It smelled so fresh and new because of all the greenery. I felt so far from civilization but wasn't. It was only about $40 a day with water and power hook up. You can get a sewer hookup for $10 more but the dump station is free down the path not too far from the campsites. I am looking forward to returning here. I love the peacefulness and tranquility of the place. I just wish I could of jumped in the lake for a swim but I don't think that is allowed. The stream in the woods was very cool and refreshing though. I love this place!
