A photo of one of their seating areas. They have a good amount of room and good ambiance!

While vacationing in Point Pleasant, we chose the Beanery to meet up with a friend. We weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is "coffee-house casual" - very comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food choices are pretty varied. Our sandwiches were tasty and the meat and veggies were very fresh. The bread was delicious as were the coffee and iced tea. I wish I lived closer to drop in often. But if you're local, you should give them a try!

The Beanery is one of my favorite lunch spots in all of New Jersey. They have cute, eclectic seating and tables inside and exposed brick abounding. It's sweetly quiet, with tunes from crooners like Norah Jones always playing softly in the background. On Saturday, I went in around 10am for a bite while waiting for shops to open and was able to be seated at a table for one with no issue at all. It's so lucky that they're right in the heart of downtown Point Pleasant. I always go for the BLT with avocado and a side salad. It's savory, scrumptious, and entirely addicting. They have such a huge variety of drinks too, so it's always fun to mix up my order in that department. Service is super friendly and they let you really take your time if that's what you're looking for. Will surely be back again soon.

I received a gift certificate for Christmas from my mother ($25) to the Beanery. It's a little pathetic to say that I have lived in this area for my entire life and I have never stepped foot in the Beanery; irrelevant but whatever. I was excited to check out their website, menu and read the latest YELP reviews which then made me quite skeptical. The menu is very artsy-fartsy, on the pricey side and reading many poor customer service reviews made me not want to rush here for lunch. So I waited and waited and waited many months until finally, last week I wanted to treat one of my very close friends to a nice lunch and off we went to Beanery. We arrived for lunch about 11:45am on a warm June morning and the place was quite crowded. There were only a couple of tables left inside but it was so beautiful out we decided to take advantage of the outdoor seating in front facing Bay Avenue. There are only two tables, by the way. My 2 1/2 year-old son was with us and it did take some time and effort for them to bring us a highchair which was a little annoying considering we were on the main road and I was struggling to keep my son on my lap until the high chair arrived. After about 5 minutes, my dining companion had gone inside to find out if someone was coming with our highchair. We then waited an additional few more minutes...only then did two servers come out with highchairs for us. Poor communication and a bit unorganized to say the least. Our server was Toni and she was very nice, polite and helpful. We decided to split a frozen chai latte to start and it was thick creamy and ice cold which totally hit the spot on a warm June day. I decided to experience the "Santa Barbara" sandwich, which is chicken salad on toasted raisin bread with apples & cinnamon (I swapped the raisin bread for pumpernickel)... I know it sounds like an odd combination, however it was absolutely delicious. I opted for swapping the chips and salsa for their fresh fruit salad (I've always loved salsa but my stomach unfortunately now doesn't)... the fruit salad was a generous portion, fresh and very refreshing. I was 100% happy with my meal. My dining companion enjoyed the "Big Sur" wrap which is shrimp, feta, veggies, avocado and bacon, rolled into a whole wheat wrap. He very much enjoyed it as well as the chips and salsa. Unfortunately, nobody came to refill our waters or to ask how our meals were, to take our trash away or to even bring us our bill. We had to flag down two different servers; one to clear our table off and another one to find our bill. Very disappointing. The food at the Beanery is fresh, healthy and delicious; we absolutely loved our meals. Downsides: they should 100% brush up on their customer service, attention to dedicated seating stations, promptness and communication between employees.

Of all the places to go for my birthday lunch, I chose The Beanery! Never disappoints! Hardest decision is what to have. Chose the Mozz Foccacia and lived every bite!

We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

Not often does a place do as well or better than the last place when it changes hands and the previous joint was a local favorite. At the Point IMHO is one of those such spots. The menu is flat out one of the best I've seen in years! So many amazing choices from savory to sweet, creative fun names for everything, outstanding choices, tons of options for every palate. They kept some of the staples from before which is a nice hat tip to tradition but you can also tell the new chef/owner wanted to have some fun with the menu and it's a hit in my book! The food is very fresh, coffee hot and delicious, and the service is as good as it always was! Tanya is the best! The pancakes are next level, all of their omelettes I've tried have been dynamite, favorites include the French Onion Omelette, Reef & Beef and Juan in a Million. Today we had the Sunrise in Tulum Birria tacos and Country Benny (okay along with a flight of pancakes, stop judging). Everything was great! Avocado toast options are fantastic as well. Love seeing such an iconic local breakfast joint not only stay as good as it's always been but actually improve. This is a can't miss for breakfast or lunch if you're in Point Pleasant Beach or even just passing thru. Keep up the great work At The Point Diner!

Although it wasn't very busy, service upstairs was fairly slow, and several nearby tables also seemed to be waiting a while for food or checks. For drinks, we ordered the Boardwalk Lemonade, which was sweet and refreshing, and their version of an Aperol Spritz, which had a beautiful presentation. My dad's Baked Brie Burger was delicious--the fig jam paired perfectly with it, and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. I ordered the Mr. Beautiful Burger, which tasted great at first. Unfortunately, I felt VERY sick almost immediately after eating. I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. Despite that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and overall experience. I'd definitely give this place another chance, though I'll skip the Mr. Beautiful Burger next time.
