We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. Despite that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and overall experience. I'd definitely give this place another chance, though I'll skip the Mr. Beautiful Burger next time.

I have tried the BLT - Amazing , Mozzarella Focaccia Sandwich - DELISH , Santa Barbara with chicken salad - my favorite sandwich on the best bread!!! Everything is FRESH and made from the best products!! Their vanilla chai can't be beat whether you get it frozen, over ice, or hot!! Their staff is in no way nasty they are very busy and focused on getting your food drinks out quickly. I have been coming here for years & have never ever been disappointed!! While the fruit itself would have been fine, the banana was already beginning to brown, which made it look particularly unappetizing. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. The French toast was limp and undercooked, and the French fries were hot on the outside but cold in the middle. The experience was bad enough that we noticed another customer at a table across and diagonally from us take one bite of his burger, put it down, get up, and leave without eating any more. By the time we left, we hadn't been able to eat much of anything. We ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home because we were still hungry and needed something we could actually eat. I understand that mistakes happen in restaurants, but this was far beyond a single mistake or an off dish. Nearly everything we ordered had a problem, and the overall quality was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not return.
