Robin's Nest opens at 6am! Which is great for sunrise lovers! Like the murals outside and inside! Walked in saw sign wait to be seated. Waited a bit and none of the staff approached me. I had to ask if I could grab a table. Offered coffee by server. Had to ask for cream. Breakfast was good. Asked for recommendations pancake vs French toast Had to ask for butter Had to ask for coffee refills Then immediately got what I requested French toast was yummy. First time there.This place is awesome. Cute homey atmosphere, small town charm. Yes it's small but that's what makes it fun. Robins Nest, there's meaning in the name! Literally the size of a birds nest! There's 7/8 table, each are 2.2 mm away from 1 another! They have the cute barstool counter from the 1700's! And awful food to match!! I had a standard western omelette, asked for American white cheese, she said they didn't have it, I then said "no to cheese". I guess the cook didn't read the ticket and gave me, mozzarella cheese on a western omelette. I don't know about you but mozzarella cheese is not tasty with eggs! The eggs were a very strange bright yellow, as if maybe they were boxed eggs, I'm not certain, but it definitely didn't give "the taste as if they were cracked eggs" that bright yellow, was certainly different! And the way cracked eggs, cook, I just wasn't seeing that! I sat there, ignored by the 1 & only waitress, w/ disappointment, in very cramped quarters! when I say cramped, I'm sure my ssa , brushed against, the gentleman sitting at the next table, as I tried squeezing myself between him, & a chair, I was attempting to sit at! The homefries had no seasoning! Just blah! I wanted to pick up the salt, good thing I looked because it was so greasy as if they don't bother to wipe the shakers on the daily! The ketchup was just as gross. The top had the dry old & new ketchup all over it!! I used napkins, to pick up both! Even then, the homefries were ugh at best!! Plz do not entertain the idea of stopping here for breakfast! I cannot believe the horrible food thats served here! Service was bad. Then told We needed to leave to clear the table for new patrons. When asked if we were leaving? We said no. I asked if we need to leave? The waitress said she didn't know if we were being rude or not. Refills on coffee only when asked. Order was wrong. No smile from the server. What has happened here? Tried Robin's Nest for the first time today for breakfast on Father's Day, when our normal go-to place nearby was overflowing. It was very busy but we hit it right and the very kind greeter sat us promptly. The server quickly greeted us and got things going. Coffee and iced tea very good. Noticed this place has a large orange-squeezing machine for fresh juice. Breakfast quesadilla with home fries was excellent. BEC on a bagel with home fries was also well made. We were checked on frequently for more coffee and any needs. All the food coming to other nearby tables looked great. Prices are reasonable. We'll be back to check out other menu items, including lunch. A nice casual Jersey shore eatery. Recommended. read more

Newer place in town taking over for the acropolis diner. I liked the vibe in here. It is affordable homemade breakfast classics. I tried the pancakes and they were spot on. The turkey club was done right. The onion rings also hit. The omelettes were hefty and good. They have a good amount of seating so you should find a spot and they have a parking lot. Robin's Nest recently opened in the space where Acropolis used to be, and I tried it today for the first time. The owner has put a lot of work into cleaning the place up and it is very cute, both inside and out! Our waitress, Millie, used to work at Acropolis and she is fantastic. My friend has been there a couple times since it opened and Millie greeted her immediately by name with a cup of coffee made just how she likes it. So nice and always quick to respond and make sure all is good. I had the veggie omelet with whole wheat toast and coffee, and it hit the spot. The omelet was cooked perfectly with lots of vegetables and the coffee was nice and warm. I also liked the homefries that were served with it. Nothing fancy here, but a great local spot with good food and good prices. read more

Decent diner. Food was good. Service was excellent. We came at Christmas time so it was nicely decorated for the holiday. My husband was thrilled that they had the fat sausage links. Love those! Came here a few times over the summer, quick easy breakfast place.. Today my partner and I tried coming for breakfast, walked in, not one person even acknowledged us. so we waited, and waited and waited. An older couple then walked in and was standing behind us.. a server came right over and took them to a table. Completely acting like we weren't waiting that whole time. It was so uncomfortable, other people sitting around even noticed us being ignored. we both looked at each other and walked out the door. I'm not saying I expect to be sat as soon as I walk in the door but to be treated like a person would be nice... Will not be returning. read more

Just tried dinner at Robin's Nest for the first time. They have it on Wednesday and Friday with live entertainment. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dinner and the singer Aimee.
