I wasn't a fan of the blended coffee I got here. It was too sweet in an icky way and I couldn't even taste the coffee. I usually make my own coffee, so I guess it's hard to compete. I wish the store could figure things out because I don't like going to Starbucks in Smith's because they're Coffey taste like there's something wrong with that. It has a flavor to it. Dutch Brothers is way too sugary so this Beans and Brew is it and I'm kind of stuck going too them. I was running a little behind schedule so I called in to the light store. I asked the girl if I could do a phone order because I was driving and in a bit of a hurry. I explained that last time I got the egg bites they were raw in the center. And I let her know that I just needed them cooked a little bit longer and I wanted to see if she could start them before I arrived. The Gal must have taken offense or something and said " there's no way that could've been raw because we get them pre-cooked and I just don't understand how that could've happened" I wasn't looking for an argument. I was just looking for a solution to my time crunch. I asked her if she was getting an attitude with me and then she got more upset and said "I'm sorry you'll just have to come through the drive-through and place your order for the egg bites" I walked into the store a few minutes later and approach the counter and let her know that I wasn't upset. I was just in a hurry and was looking for a solution. She responds with "you were upset " and would not allow me to explain myself. I let her know that "I'm in a hurry and I just need some egg bites" There was such a problem, working out all of the details of the emotions that I couldn't place my order. I left. The level of professionalism in these places has completely taken a tank. It's hard to tip these terrible barista's! I left an initial review with a photo of my raw egg bites. Last time I ordered them. I called the solution line and still nothing has happened. This Beans and Brews needs a serious intervention, or they need to go out of business and be replaced by somebody who will take this business a little more seriously. read more

First time at this location and I am really happy I stopped here. I got to use my birthday reward and they were so nice at the window. The barista wished me a happy birthday, and that definitely made my day. I got a dirty chai and it was absolutely delicious! The drive-through line did not take long at all. Worst experience ever! My wife is now sick and in pain because they clearly put regular cows milk in her chai tea. We both clearly asked for non-dairy, use either almond or oat milk is fine. Add to that it took 8 minutes to get my coffee (regular house blend) poured from the urn. And I waited longer for my muffin. She said, "it'll be another minute, it's not ready yet." I didn't ask for the muffin to be heated. It wasn't warm when I got it. How was it "not ready yet?" Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Shameful. read more

The best time to come is during the morning, the barista's are quick and efficient, and you never have to wait long. I always leave a tip for them, the men seem to be in a lot better of a mood than the female barista's, I am uncertain why. My breakfast sandwich is great, and my coffee is always smooth! 2 stars!!! This place is a joke. I stopped in because I was craving coffee, but it was mid day. As I pulled up to the drive thru, I scanned the menu board looking for something similar to a Frappuccino-Starbucks. I see what I think might be it but also see another. So I ask, which is more like a Starbucks Frappuccino. The response I get is " I don't know". So wait... a non coffee drinking employee working at a coffee shop? So she says yeah it's like a Frappuccino. So I order the frozen mocha.... SAD NEWS!! It's just like the frozen coffee you can get at 7-11. It's nothing like a Frappuccino at all.. Consistently the most poorly managed coffee house you can find in Utah. The intercom for the drive thru causes you and the employee to both shout to get an order across, they're constantly out of everything from simply large cups to random other things, and the iced coffee always comes out warm which is nasty. I am convinced there is no management at this location, it is a joke at the office that we should never go here, but sometimes I check back to see if anything has changed. So far, nothing. read more

Beans & Brews, Our family will forever sing praises about this coffee shop. My sister and I have gone here (as well as the one in Sandy) for our coffee fixes for the past two years almost. A little more pricey but nothing more than Starbucks. Their espresso is strong! So if you like it super sweet you'd need a bit more add ins. I love their frozen mocha: rain or shine. I go to Beans and Brews every day for years. I couldn't find my Debit card so all I had was a $100 bill. Would not take the $100 bill and would not let me pay for the coffee the next day. The girl was new and very rude! I asked about a particular person that works there to talk to and she said he didn't work there. I had to ask her twice if she was new there, before she would even answer. She didn't even try to help me at all. It is a sad world that you cannot use a $100 bill. My experience with this location was super disappointing and left me feeling like i wasted my money on garbage. My frozen Mr. B's was nothing but milk and syrup with absolutely NO taste of coffee whatsoever, and my Cookie Monster frappe was even worse. Old coffee grounds watered down with milk, how does that sound because that's literally what it tasted like!! Save your money or visit another location. DO BETTER. read more

This location and Centerville have both gone downhill over the past few months for whatever reason. Croissants are now 1/3rd the size with no price change, frozen drinks are no longer frozen, employees do not answer questions but simply ask "is that all?" Had to go back through drive-thru to get the right sandwich as they made a mistake, typically no big deal (although now recurring). Sam decided to not even respond to us asking if we could get the correct sandwich, grabbed the bag and went inside. Other employees were overheard complaining that we pulled back around, so we let them know we heard it all through the open service door. No point in being rude. The least you can do is be kind when you make a mistake. Spend your dollar somewhere else and forego dealing with condescending workers. read more

Our first visit to B&B was a great one! My wife and I went through the drive thru and got a Cookie Monster Frappe and a Strawberry Creme Frappe. Both were good, but the Cookie Monster was the definite favorite. The espresso was so good, and really strong! I absolutely loved it! And I usually don't love super strong coffee taste, so that's saying something. We will be back for more again! Thanks B&B. The manager also went out of her way to advise us not to get Espresso in the Strawberry Creme. I thought it might not be the best idea to begin with, but I thought I'd try it. Patiently waited for my coffee but it was never made. Finally, I asked the Baristas if they had forgotten about me and they weren't sure if they had or not. Rather than make me a nice cup of coffee they slung some stuff around and slipped some money on the bar, I am guessing a refund, not sure as they didn't even say. I waited for them to finish slopping around what they were content to call a cup of coffee, and left their coffee and attempt at a refund on the bar. I have no reason to go back there as this beans and brew is honestly not any better than the Layton Starbucks for hot coffee anyway. read more

I didn't enjoy the coffee here, but the baked goods were yummy. The coffee required more add ins to taste good, didn't get me that caffeine boost I usually want when consuming coffee, and the employees were rude. They made me feel dumb for what I was adding to the flavor and kept asking if I really wanted to do that. Did not enjoy my experience that time I went. Other times I've gone to do my homework and the environment is quiet (mostly- they make a lot of noise in the back) and the managers are nice. read more

My wife and I have been going to the Layton location for a little over a year now. The coffee is decent, but the one thing that keeps us coming back, is the ability to get a 32oz Iced mocha. The largest that Starbucks does, is a 24oz, and some days, more is better, especially when Ghirardelli white chocolate is involved. The breakfast items are pretty tasty, as are the baked goods. The coffee shop is clean, and tastefully decorated. The manager Esmerelda, is incredible. She makes an effort to know her customers, and give them the best experience possible. There have been several times, where her staff is obviously less than thrilled to be at work, and they show it by how they greet you (or lack there of), how they interact with you, and how they prepare your order. In my experience, they have about a 60% accuracy rate, and that's if they paid attention to your order in the first place; I've had to repeat myself on many occasions. There's some good with the bad, but it's still one of our favorite places to go, when we just want to sit and chat while enjoying our coffee and breakfast. read more
