Ice cream was so delicious. It was as if it melted and turned into a milkshake when it touched my tongue very flammable.

It's usually quite busy every time I come here, particularly in the middle of the evening, but on the upside of this the staff are always very attentive and very fast at what they do. They have such a wide variety of different flavours. Some of my choice are Cassata, which I can never pass on if it's there, Lemon Meringue Pie flavour which I think is a limited time option, Sticky Date Pudding which I think is also limited, Mango sorbet, White Chocolate, Watermelon sorbet, Hazelnut, Boysenberry ... The worlds your oyster really. Looking at their menu they offer up made to order gelato cakes at all sorts of different sizes and prices, they also do larger take away containers of gelato, milkshakes, thick shakes, espresso coffee ... And I've also noticed they offer a gelato cart for hire for parties and functions with several spaces for different flavoured gelato.

They have a fantastic range of flavours, with new flavours constantly being introduced. The staff is lovely and they're open on public holidays and late hours during the summer (phew!). The prices have gone up quite a bit since they first opened, but they are quite generous with their portion sizes so that helps a little bit

I think this is the best gelato/ice cream shop in Adelaide. They have 48 flavors as the store name…read moresays and it takes forever to decide what I want. My absolute favorite is black sesame. If you like Asian taste in your ice cream, you cannot go wrong with sesame. Lychee is refreshing, and caramel fig and rum raisin are also my favorite as I can taste a little of pick me up (wink wink). My sister's favorite is gorgonzola pear and fig but we were told it is only seasonal as they want to keep their ingredients authentic as possible. The Asian male staff was very helpful and he even mixed flavors for us to try something new and creative! Highly recommended.

Not that anything is wrong with Gelatissimo but damn 48 Flavors had me really impressed. Because they have flavours that other icecream places do not have. Actually, for me it's just 3 flavours in particular. Durian, Taro and Black Sesame. With durian, it's probably one of the most divisive foods I can think of. People either absolutely love it or hate it. It has a custard-like texture with a rich creamy quality. However the people who absolutely despise it will point out it's pungent aroma, and pungent it putting it very politely. Basically it smells like rotting fruit mixed with other things. It's considered the Kind of Fruits in SE Asia and it's definitely one of my favourites. I wasn't going to get anything...until I saw the sign saying 'Durian Icecream- Tasting Available.' I think my eyes widened a bit and I immediately went to buy a scoop. I tasted before buying and then changed my mind to 2 scoops!! It's that good. The icecream's flavour 100% matches that of ripe durian, and I was kicking myself that it took me so long to discover it. I'm definitely coming back to try a few more flavours, and to get the durian a few more times. However I may need to sit a bit further away from my friends, because they kept pointing out the smell!

Friends, listen up. I have found GELATI HEAVEN…read more These guys are passionate about what they do and are constantly perfecting their craft. Their commitment to sourcing the freshest possible ingredients from suppliers as local as possible means that their gelati is the absolute best. There are so many interesting flavours happening here.... fig, ricotta and honey and the dairy free coconut (my favourite so far!!). But these guys are willing to experiment and I have also tried flavours such as beetroot, cucumber and pineapple; red wine; and granny smith apple with toffee. If you have a cafe or restaurant or maybe just a really special occasion to cater for the gelati scientists will even work with you to create your own bespoke flavour! You can buy their gelati in different forms - 5 litre tubs, 500ml tubs, cones, sticks and even some delicious looking chocolate covered squares of gelati! Their factory storefront is small but you will get a good deal on their amazing range of products. And because once you have visited you will need more, you can also purchase the gelati at a wide range of Foodland supermarkets around Adelaide. Do yourself a 'flavour' (ha.ha.) and check out this amazing local business and their DELICIOUS gelati!!
