This shop was the third we checked out in the area today. I wish we checked out this place first. The other were random stops based on proximity of other errands. They were not what we were looking for. This place immediately made the right impression. I bought two firearms because they had exactly what I was looking for in a high end AR-10 and in a specific Glock 19 with optional slide sight mounting. It wasn't even necessary but the fact that the Glock was significant less expensive than the other two stores made for a nice value also. Oh, and I purchased two types of ammo at proper quantity based discounts also. The selection of pistols was absolutely incredible. Totally nuts! These guys have it all. In addition to the full range of ever popular tactical arms, they carry a wide range of revolvers, bolt guns, and lever actions. Most importantly, the staff is super friendly. I walked in off the street, asked for a part which they didn't carry. Staff member looked it up online. Found it on Wilson Tactical website for me. The guy put in so much effort I felt obliged to buy a box of ammo. After further consideration, I decided to go back the next day and buy a pistol. Seriously, the guys are that cool. Tucked away in the back of an old, outdoor shopping mall on the SE corner of Shea & Scottsdale Rd, this gun shop is pretty cool. We dropped in here to see what they had. To my surprise, they're very competitively priced. I saw an AK-style rifle for $559 and a Glock 19 for $499. Exactly what I was looking for! The place was busy on the day we went, but the guys working there were very friendly and assisted us with our purchase. Tucked away in an old strip mall this is one of the better gun stores around, in my opinion. Prices are fair and they have a good selection of pistols, rifles, ammo, and accessories. They have the big names like Walther, Dan Wesson, Kimber, H&K, and some rare stuff that I couldn't tell you the names of. They have a good selection of vintage firearms from around the world, and also a cool display of machine guns. They also sell knives like ZT, and Benchmade. They offer CCW classes for $50 if you need to get your card. Staff is knowledgeable and not pushy about making a sale. They make you feel welcomed and answer questions truthfully. I am a Veteran and l got personally attacked about my age and health (which they know nothing about) and compared to other people that destroy property !! Obviously they don't like or appreciate old Vets. Stopped by to ask some questions and become more educated on what I am looking for and asked for a rundown of a couple firearms I am interested in purchasing. All I got was short answers, that they are all the same and very different... Treated like it was a waste of time. My recommendation for them since they are competing with online suppliers with WAY better pricing: Actually be helpful and show customers the reason for your overhead, spend time with serious buyers... Visiting the area for Spring Training and I brought my extremely dangerous AR15 semiautomatic rifle with me to shoot. Rather than transporting ammo, I figured I would buy some once I got there. As luck would have it, Bear Arms was right around the corner from my hotel! As I drove into the shopping center, I noticed that it seemed like a majority of the places were salons, spas, boutiques, and other "zen" sort of businesses. I thought it was kind of an ironic location for a gun store! As I walked in, my eyes immediately fall on what I believe was a .50 cal machine gun display. Definitely took me back to my time in the military! All of the employees were tied up with other customers when I walked in, so I browsed around a bit. One employee took a second from his customer to ask if he could help me find anything. I told him I was looking for bulk ammo and he directed me to the 2 areas where it was sitting. After not finding what I was looking for, an employee (who's name I forgot) who had been with another customer, came over and asked if he could help me. I told him I was looking for bulk ammo (.223/5.56 and .308). He showed me what was available, even made recommendations to save me some of my hard earned dinero! From there we went to the optics. Not settled on what I wanted to get, he showed me several options of red dot sights along with a couple of actual scopes. In the end I opted for the mid range red/green dot sight for a reasonable price. Customer service was top notch. Selection of items in stock was fairly decent (only 1 case of .308 ammo which I opted not to buy.) And their prices were certainly cheaper than the range! The next time I'm in the Scottsdale area, I will definitely be back here for my ammo purchase along with any other needs. Lord willing I will be retired in the next 2-3 years and be relocating to the area, making Bear Arms my go to supplier! read more

Very disappointed I've tried to sell several I items over the last year to these guys. Low ball offers and dishonest appraisals... recently took several vintage guns to them. Their offer was embarrassing and insulting, treated me like I wAs an idiot who didn't know what my guns were worth. I understand they need to have margins to make money on deals and I'm do Fine with that but they tried to bend me over and rob me. I will NEVER give them any business !! Took my guns to Arizona Firearms in Tempe they gave me a fair price no haggling ! And paid me 100% more than these tools offered. I'm putting these guys up there on my favorite gun shops in AZ. It's not a huge store, and the selection of accessories is a bit small, but they have a decent sized collection of quality rifles, shotguns, and pistols. The sales staff was helpful and friendly. The prices are also very good. Close to what you would pay on Gunbroker or Buds. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is for two reasons: 1. They need a better inventory of holsters and after market sights for the pistols they sell 2. When you buy a new handgun, the hard case has a sticker from Bear Arms slapped on it. While a free sticker is cool, I prefer they let me decide if I want it on my new gun case. Overall, it's a good shop and I've already recommended it to a friend. read more

I'm decently new to the area and am trying to find a local business to support while I try to build my collection. I purchased a couple handguns from them, a couple ARs, and a few boxes of ammo. The salesmen were generally intelligent, but can be the type to talk a lot about how amazing they are as shooters... Today, I went into the store with a couple rifles that I wanted to sell. I got them because they were on sale, they were not anything special. I was hoping to sell them combined, with nice scopes to put towards a $1800 dollar rifle that I figured I would buy regardless of whether they wanted my guns or not. The manager came, looked at my guns for a second, said "not interested" and then walked away. Sure I was upset that they didn't want them, but I would have still purchased the new rifle. But because of the cold customer service approach, I will not be returning. I've spent over 2k here in just a couple months and this is how I'm treated? Great place! I went to four or five different gun stores before I ended up here, and they definitely stood out. They had a few guys on staff so I didn't have to wait. No one comes across as condescending. They're very open about what they didn't know, too. They took extra effort to order me a replacement part, and insisted their armorer do the replacement in shop (as opposed to me having to send the entire firearm back for up to a month to have a single part replaced). When you decide to stop doing FFL transfers you should let your customers know, and respond to the emails from the online seller when they don't have your new license #. I know you are so busy because of Covid, aren't we all, is that why 5 or 6 sales guys are hanging out by the register? If you were smart you would take advantage of the increased online orders and grow your foot traffic, raise the price of the FFL transfer, or just make a good business decisions. Low ammo and gun inventories are everywhere, so why wouldn't you want more store traffic and sell accessories or whatever. read more
