    What an incredible brewery

Wish I knew about this place sooner! It's exactly the unique and family friendly hangout spot I've been looking for.

We came up to Kings Beach for Music On The Beach and stopped in to Bear Belly for a few beers beforehand since it was right across the street from the beach. The vibe is super chill inside and out. There are plenty of seating inside where the beer is brewed and lots of picnic benches and lounge chairs outside. We definitely dabbled in the cornhole and disc golf games outside and were blessed with a gorgeous sunset. The bartender was friendly and helpful with our selections as well. We tried the Low Life Lager, Real Men Wear Pink, and Masshole NEIPA - all delicious!

This is one of the most family friendly places I've been. It has such a great outdoor space that is kid and dog friendly. The stash of toys and games is amazing. Great place to meet up with other families or meet new people. The beer is good too. It is always nice to see and talk to the brewer and see them actively engaging with the people there. We came here twice during out stay because it offered such a great space and great beer. Plus the name and merchandise are pretty fun too.

We're always on the lookout for new breweries to try and when we saw Bear Belly on Yelp we decided to give it a go...and, we're glad we did! Here is what stood out: - Use your GPS to find it...we parked in the adjacent public parking lot and walked over to where it was supposed to be...the sliding glass door to enter was a little different than we expected, but it reinforces that this is all about a guy making beer and running his own business. - We really enjoyed talking to the brew master himself, hearing about his history and the history of the business. He rotates 5 different beers on tap, based on the season, etc. and we found it to be a good mix. - We ordered a flight of all five beers and we enjoyed them all! Bottom line: One of those hidden gem places you really want to succeed, so we'll be back for sure!

Fun, simple brewery in Kings Beach with 4 taps (during this visit). I got the Low Life lager, which is a little more exciting than a regular lager (hops!), but not as hoppy as an IPA. The yard/patio is amazing. Stopped in on a whim after a day of paddle boarding and am glad I did. Planned to try one beer and not really enjoy it, ended up staying for 2 because YUM! Hidden gem for sure.

Stopped by this spot on the way back from the beach.. nice spot but was dead for a Saturday. Beers were decent and the outdoor area is HUGE!!!

Can we say that we new Adam before he blows up?!!! Because let me tell you this place will. Stumbled across this gem via Yelp. We we're at another brewery was was left disappointed. So we yelped and landed here! What a find! Every beer (he only has 5 at the moment) was wonderful, not one disappointed. We wanted to take some home but he hasn't started canning/bottling yet. Can't wait till he does! You can bring outside food to the patio area. There is also chips and pretzels for sale. He runs this place so well you would have never guessed this was a one man shop! Much luck to you Adam! We will be back next time we come to visit.

    Mug club!!

About time I review this place since we love coming here. My wife and I came here in 2020 and then moved her back home in 2021. We quickly became regulars and joined the mug club. The beers are solid for a nano aka one man brewery. The inside holds about 4 at the rail and has seating for about 12 more in the brewery, (no dogs allowed inside) The outside has much more seating and is dog friendly when on a leash. The brewery used to be a veterinarian office but has now turned it into a local and tourist hangout for sure. There's a local art studio on site so be sure to check out that too. In the summer time there's always something happening on the weekend. Local food trucks, art and craft festivals and sometimes live music. You can also bring your own food from one of the local spots around or picnic if you like. There's a small parking lot in front of the brewery on Trout Ave. and a larger parking lot off of Brook Ave. east of the bank. Come say hi if you are into good beer and enjoying the beautiful weather in North Lake Tahoe. Cheers!

I am very glad to see another brewery on the North Shore. Bear Belly has been open a few months, and in the waning days of summer, it is good to snag a pint or two up at the lake. They are located about a block off the main drag in King's Beach, in the neighborhood area, and has the feel of a neat little local's only spot. There are a few parking spaces out front, but you may have to find spaces nearby and walk over. It appears to be a converted house or business, with a small but pleasant fenced-in beer garden, and a handy outside ordering window. Prices for the beers are very reasonable, especially for being in the Tahoe Basin, with pints being $6 range, and flights being $10. It appears growler and crowler fills are available, since they have beer pickup to-go, and the service here was also exceptionally friendly and welcoming. As of now, there are five brews on tap, and I went with a flight to get a lay of the land. The Golden Bear Child ale was, unfortunately, tasting very heavily of chlorinated water and soap, and I think they need to flush the lines or equipment. The Mountain Mango Wheat was decent, and a refreshing light beer with just a hint of fruitiness. There are two hazy IPA's on tap, the Harmon's Hazy, which was a pretty solid and mild IPA, and the Hop Dog The Beer, which I wasn't digging quite so much, again from a lingering off-taste. The final beer, the Rye So Hoppy IPA was hands down my favorite. It tasted terrific, was very smooth for a 7.4% beer, and I highly recommend trying it out. One big detail to be aware of is that given current COVID restrictions on breweries under California law, you MUST order food in order for them to be allowed serve you beer, which does not include any of the packaged snacks they have available. Currently this is done through a small food stand on the property, selling pretty tasty empanadas made to order. However, the big drawback to this is they are pricey, with a serving for 1-2 people starting at $22. All in all, it was an interesting time coming to visit, and I'll likely check them out again when I can next swing through the area. In any case, I am happy the north shore has another craft establishment at last. Cheers, guys!

This place has been on our radar for a while and we decided to stop by there a few days ago after going on a nearby hike. We had our dog with us and we were happy that this place is very welcoming so long as dogs are leashed. I walked inside to see what was on tap and was met by a man that suspected I had not been there before by the way I was looking around, lol. He turned out to be the owner and he invited me up to the bar so he could tell me all about his different beer selections. I opted for the Masshole Hazy ("4 different hop varietals make for a hoppy, tropical and juicy punnch!") for myself and the Boys to the Yard ("IPA drinkers, Be Not Affraid! Lots of hops, subtle on the fruit and lactose.") for my husband. The outdoor area is large, with many different places to sit, a fire pit, corn hole and other games, and lots of space for little ones to run around. If my kids were still young, they would have loved to come here in this woodsy camp-like environment - there are even piles of rocks to climb. Apparently, a food truck comes here every other Saturday (too bad we were there on the off week). It would be great to have some live music here someday. We enjoyed the relaxing vibe and the tasty beer. We'll be back!

This place is great. Good beer, wine, and yard games. Food truck(s). Sometimes live music. Great place to hangout in the middle of Kings Beach. You can also bring in food. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

Sitting on the patio with a view of the lake automatically puts a place a notch above, in my opinion. We had a group of 10 of us, and considering Whitecaps is one of the busiest spots on the North Shore, we decided to try our luck. They don't really have a set system for ordering ahead or takeout--it seems to depend pretty heavily on how busy they are. Luckily, they were able to get our whole group right in! Our server was quick, efficient and friendly, especially considering how busy they were. Drinks and food came out without us feeling like we were waiting forever. For a drink, I had the prickly pear cider, which was crisp, sweet and delicious. My wife and I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and really good. It was definitely heavy on the garlic, but I happen to LOVE garlic, so that worked for me. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread for the table. I had high hopes because it comes on focaccia, and I thought that would give it a little something different and maybe take it over the top. Unfortunately, this one just didn't do it for me. It was a little dry and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. For our entrée, my wife and I shared the pesto chicken sandwich. It was good and definitely did the trick, but I wouldn't say it was the best pesto chicken sandwich I've ever had. Now...the pizza. Several people in our group ordered different pizzas, and every bite I stole was SO good. Someone ordered the shrimp scampi pizza, which was a little different than what I would normally order, but WOW--it was really, really good. Overall, even with the restaurant being extremely busy, the service was efficient and our food and drinks didn't take forever. And let's be honest, sitting on a patio with a view of Lake Tahoe while eating pizza is hard to beat. So if you're on the North Shore, give this little spot a whirl. Just be prepared for it to be busy--and if they have room for you, take advantage of it!

We haven't been going recently for a number of reasons, and our recent visit reinforced what those reasons were: - The beer is nowhere near as good as it was when it was made here in Incline. - The concept has changed from being a brewery to being a restaurant, so you get the crowds associated with that. - Food prices are through the roof, even though the food is pretty good. - Service is really crappy and not friendly or kind at all...for instance, when I asked for the difference between Chance of Crowds and Chance of Clouds, they pushed the menu toward me and told me to read it. When our pizza got delivered, I asked for plates and they said go to the bar and get them. These people must hate working here! - They've gotten rid of the nice grassy area in the back and while they've added a lot of chairs, the back yard is a bunch of sand and dirt now. Bottom line: I think Alibi in Incline Village is trying to turn into the Alibi in Truckee where there's lots of screaming kids running around, big crowds, blocked off sections for private parties, and mediocre beer. If you're looking for an average restaurant, this is it. If you're looking for a craft brewery, go to Revision in Reno.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job walking us through the day's specials as well as some of her favorite picks. I started with the In Crowd cocktail and really enjoyed it. The coconut, basil, and bitters balanced beautifully with the gin, making for a super refreshing drink that felt especially perfect for spring or summer weather. We followed our server's advice and ordered four items, two larger plates and two starters, and everything was delicious. Here's the breakdown: Trout Dip: Fantastic smoky, fishy flavor in all the right ways, served with crostinis. The only small nitpick was that the crostinis were overdone for my taste and shattered loudly when bitten into. Grilled Prawns: Super meaty and seasoned and sauced perfectly, with a bed of slaw that balanced the dish nicely. Scallops: Seared to perfection and in an addicting red Thai curry sauce. I was intrigued by the combo of kimchi, grits, and curry and have to say that it somehow blends amazingly well. Lamb Chops: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, expertly seasoned, with little gaminess and a cooling yogurt sauce that really brought the dish together.
