Not from the area wanted a quick bite before hitting the road. The food was delicious I wish I grabbed to breakfast sandwich's! The service was great and the place was small but the food was worth every bite...

Dog friendly, friendly barista, fast, good wifi. Sat outside and there was an outlet. Closes early ~2. Coffee got the job done, just got an americano.

    Quaint decor.

What a great coffee shop! The lady working was so kind and friendly too. Stopped here for a quick breakfast and was so pleasantly surprised. The coffee was delicious (raspberry white mocha with oat milk, toffee Carmel latte, coconut mocha), the food was perfect (vanilla waffles, egg, cheese, bacon croissant), and service was exceptional and with a smile! The barista informed me that the croissants are made in-house, whereas the bagels were not. I am so glad I opted for my breakfast sandwich to be on a croissant bc it was perfectly buttery and flakey. I also loved the cozy, quaint vibe of the inside. Definitely will be returning when I am in the area.

Rolled in to JH around 1 and got properly caffeinated post haste. Great goods. Great services. Inventive sweet coffees if you're into such things

Great food and lovely drink options to choose from! A bit pricey, but that's to be expected in Tahoe.

An excellent coffee shop right by the lake. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming & the staff couldn't be more genuine and kind. We came with a large group & they were cranking out the lattes at lightening speed. The coffee was excellent & very reasonably priced ($5 per latte about). They also lots of pastries and other beverage options. I would definitely come back!

A small cafe with such kind service! I tried the Breakfast Bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese (3/5, bagel itself was alright, as a whole delicious but quite greasy), a Bear Claw Pastry (4/5), and Chocolate Croissant (3/5). We bought just the breakfast bagel and they added the last two pastries which really added to my day! They were super nice here, and I'd come again to try their drinks as well.

This little hidden gem is SO cute! We got a breakfast bagel and a breakfast croissant, both of which were fantastic. I tried the caramel toffee latte and that was also really good. The owner (I think) is so sweet and welcoming, and the interior is very cozy!

Stopped here EVERY morning of the trip because it was THAT good!!! The staff is so kind and always has the best recommendations. The breakfast sandwiches? Unreal. And the blueberry muffin was honestly the best I've ever had. There's cute outdoor seating, or you can take your coffee and walk across the lot to enjoy the water views--perfection.

The prices here are insane for mediocre coffee. My iced matcha with "sweet cream cold foam"came out as warm milk with whip cream. I had to ask for ice.. and it was $10... You can just see in the photo the color looks nothing like good matcha quality. My boyfriend's iced cinnamon latte was $8 and had no ice either. So disappointing. Waste of $18. Will not be back.

Lots of syrups, drink sizes & menu!

Super long line, food extremely greasy. They got my drink order wrong and charged us extra for flavor but didn't include it.

I really liked that there was a central coat tree where you could hang your heavy coat, especially with the limited seating. Some tables outside as well for sunny days. Interesting menu that blends standard breakfast with some healthier add-ins like quinoa instead of rice. Food tasted fresh, supporting their goal to serve natural, organic, and local ingredients. I opted for the Sunrise Sliders, and had no complaints. I particularly liked that the pretzel buns weren't too dense and didn't overwhelm the other ingredients. I was given the option to add pesto, and it added great texture and flavor. Great showcasing of local products like bagels from Tahoe Bagel Co. and Blind Dog Coffee.

The interior is nice and cozy (and warm), with light reggae music playing in the background. There're only two tables; the rest of the seating is VERY comfortable bar seating. With two walls of windows showing beautiful Lake Tahoe views--plenty of trees and the lake itself--there's plenty of morning light coming through. I was happy that they were serving smooth Laughing Dog coffee--a favorite. And the food came out quick and delicious, with a nice crisp on my burrito wrapper. The menu is limited, but what they do they do creatively and well--the quinoa in my burrito went great with the eggs, beans, and sausage, and they told my wife they were experimenting with their already creative pretzel bun sunrise sliders by adding pesto--a perfect extra optional touch for her.

Well, at the Tree House Cafe, you can have something good and at a fair price We were visiting Kings Beach for the afternoon on a whim and other than drinks weren't really prepared for lunch. This place's menu looked good plus they had outdoor and patio seating since we had our dog. It was hot out and they allowed well behaved dogs INSIDE with the cooler air. I had the loaded tater tots with creamy Mac and cheese topped with brisket. My son had the tri tip sandwich. The portions were large. I split my tots with my wife and we still had to take some home. My son only finished half. Anytime you order tots, the base has to be crispy with potatoe-y insides. This place delivered on that, plus the mac and cheese added a level of creaminess that paired well with the savory brisket. The brisket was BBQed with out too much sauce, this allowed the smokiness of the meat to come through and not be overwhelmed by the other ingredients. So overall, a winner in my book. I can't honestly say anything about the sandwich because I didn't try any of it. Maybe next time. But if facial reaction counts. My son was smiling .

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging.
