JavaHut was probably the highlight of our stay in north lake lol. We went here every morning (sometimes twice), because I do love a good caffeine fix. This is probably some of the best coffee I've had in a while, which is refreshing. On one day, I had ordered coffee from somewhere else and was disappointed, so I tossed it and came here instead! The quality is consistent and the drinks are delicious. My go-to orders were the coconut mocha latte, the chocolate croissant, and the vanilla waffle! My husband also LOVED the nitro cold brew and said it was the best one he ever had. There are small areas to sit and enjoy your coffee or pastry inside, or there are great places within walking distance as well. Super close to the beach as well. Service was quick and friendly as well! Definitely coming back next time we are in the area. read more

Don't miss this mountain gem!!! We hit up this slice of heaven on our way out of town. And I wish we had found them at the beginning. We would have come every day! Good vibe Top notch lattes. First timer! Loved the amazing selection of coffee. I ended up choosing one of their specialty coffees, an Iced Maple and Brown Sugar Latte with almond milk. It was very yummy but if you like your iced coffee cold make sure to give it a few minutes for the ice to cool it down. The place is cozy with some pretty great staff. Be advised, the seating it limited and the lines can get long. read more

Quality coffee with a good taste, and pretty solid pastries. The interior seemed pretty clean and I enjoyed looking at the painted walls and some of the art work. The wait time was pretty short, which helps in such a small place, or "hut." The only thing I will add is that the pastry could have been warmed up, but that's likely on the customer to ask. read more

javahut is an adorable coffee shop that i would visit over any place in tahoe. the paintings and decor are perfect for chic pics with your fav drinks. but the pictures aren't the only upside, because they have such a wide variety of creative and delicious drinks. this includes dairy free milk options, sugar free syrups, and bizarre flavor combinations. the pastries and snacks looked amazing as well, and you can tell they don't skimp on the fillings and toppings. I'm so glad all of the lovely baristas could serve us because they do not disappoint. definitely a key spot for roadtrips or even everyday trips!! read more

Stopped by before heading back to the Bay Area and was a bit disappointed. The bagels were ok a bit more on the greasy side, they seemed to have changed them because they used to be a bit smaller but full with the bacon egg and cheese. Now the bagels seemed empty like it was pure bagel. Bought 6 and an ice coffee and paid $88!! Seems $12 for each bagel is a bit much! read more

What a great coffee shop! The lady working was so kind and friendly too. Stopped here for a quick breakfast and was so pleasantly surprised. The coffee was delicious (raspberry white mocha with oat milk, toffee Carmel latte, coconut mocha), the food was perfect (vanilla waffles, egg, cheese, bacon croissant), and service was exceptional and with a smile! The barista informed me that the croissants are made in-house, whereas the bagels were not. I am so glad I opted for my breakfast sandwich to be on a croissant bc it was perfectly buttery and flakey. I passed through North Lake Tahoe and wanted to get a coffee. This JavaHut is near enough to the beach that you can enjoy your sips with a lake view. The shop is quaint and adorable inside and smells AMAZING! I had the butter pecan latte and it definitely was one of my favorite coffees ever. Super great flavors and not too sweet. I definitely recommend swinging by this place if you're in North Lake Tahoe! read more

An excellent coffee shop right by the lake. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming & the staff couldn't be more genuine and kind. We came with a large group & they were cranking out the lattes at lightening speed. The coffee was excellent & very reasonably priced ($5 per latte about). I got there 5 min before they opened. Not one of the 3 employees I saw greeted us or smiled. I was second in line. My order took over 20min. They made my order and then made the next three orders before they came out and handed all of us our orders at the same time. Why would I have to wait for my order if it's done? I didn't bother checking my order, my fault on that but the order was still wrong. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and bacon. I got an English muffin with cream cheese and bacon instead. Way different, not what I was craving at all. read more

A small cafe with such kind service! I tried the Breakfast Bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese (3/5, bagel itself was alright, as a whole delicious but quite greasy), a Bear Claw Pastry (4/5), and Chocolate Croissant (3/5). Stopped here EVERY morning of the trip because it was THAT good!!! The staff is so kind and always has the best recommendations. The breakfast sandwiches? Unreal. The prices here are insane for mediocre coffee. My iced matcha with "sweet cream cold foam"came out as warm milk with whip cream. I had to ask for ice.. and it was $10... You can just see in the photo the color looks nothing like good matcha quality. My boyfriend's iced cinnamon latte was $8 and had no ice either. So disappointing. Waste of $18. Will not be back. read more

After a long day in the sun and water my friends and I stopped here which was the closest to Kings Beach. The interior is so pretty and had a gray vibe. I got a 20 oz iced caramel toffee latte and it was delicious! It tasted amazing, I didn't particularly like how there were no prices posted because it did come out to almost $10 but I didn't pay for it so a great experience minus the prices. read more

Maybe the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever seen. I couldn't eat it. There are very limited options and it's very greasy. The egg is a sliced boiled egg, it was soaked in hot sauce, it wasn't pleasant for the price. The coffee I got was super sweet, it tasted like it was half syrup. Convenient because it's on the way to the mountain but I'd pick another breakfast stop. The lady working the counter was very nice so I feel bad saying the food and coffee was bad, but I think there can be some adjustments made in the culinary department. The place is a small spot with some seating, but probably meant for more of a grab and go. read more

My husband and I decided to stop in for some smoothies, after looking at some delicious Yelp pics I decided to order the Tahoe Sunrise. What a incredibly delicious smoothie, I'd highly recommend ordering one! I would HIGHLY recommend this small business opened by a snowboarding husband and wife team some years back! Sooooo good!! I got the Caramel Truffle Latte and my husband got the Caramel Butter Apple Latte; literally some of the best lattes I've had. The guy was super nice and personable up front. Actually made conversation instead of your basic hi how are you. Location was a bit funky but the inside was super cute and cozy. Was a bit pricy, we paid $15 for 2, but for a hole in the wall coffee shop I expected worse and was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be returning when we visit Tahoe again!! read more

Ordered a butter pecan latte with oat milk and an almond bear claw and chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissant was the best of the two as the almond bear claw had a stronger almond extract/artificial flavor. I did not enjoy the coffee, it was way too sweet even though it is listed as one of their less sweet options. They do not have almond milk for those that prefer almond milk instead of oat. read more

I've grabbed coffee at this location a few years ago and it was lovely to return and see that the place is still standing and thriving. They get busy here, but it is well worth the wait. They had some seating in the back of the store with art and murals. The staff was friendly and pushing out orders fairly quickly. It seemed like the majority of people waited near the front of the store for their orders. The location of the shop is ideal, near kings beach so you can head out for your adventures afterwards. I'm happy to see the business grow as it has. Thank you! read more

my friends and I stopped by this place while waiting for the roads to clear up from the snow this past weekend. This place sort of shares the same little parking lot area as the pizza place next door (also a pretty good place to eat too). It was about 8-9 of us squeezing in this cozy coffee shop + 1-2 other customers. We each ordered a cup of coffee -- which turned out yummy and everyone enjoyed it. I think my favorite was the white raspberry coffee. the chai latte was good too the lady who was the cashier was super friendly, outgoing, and nice, but the dude making the coffee seemed annoyed, bored out of his mind ..or extremely high. one of the few things that I found a little off-putting. the coffee house has limited seating, but enough where alll 9 of us had a seat and a few other customers were able to have some as well. they have about 4-5 chairs/2 table in the front, some bar seating and a table in the back. restroom is for customers only. Coffee shop also had funny and laidback decor, which my friends and I found humorous. Our group also enjoyed the nice snowy lake view from outside of the coffee shop. Definitely something to check out when in the area. It is across the street from Daves ski and snowboard rental, so a good place to stop by in the morning before heading up to the slopes read more

Great little breakfast spot in Kings Beach! We walked here from out airb&b, grabbed some coffee and a breakfast sandwich and sat outside at their tables. Perfect, casual spot to do so. The coffee was yummy and hot and just as we ordered. The breakfast sandwich was SO yummy and you can customize how you want it. We had bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and it was delish. Came on a Friday morning and it was not busy. Must have missed the morning rush of people getting to work and hitting the slopes. Staff was friendly. My family and I were on a trip to Kings Beach this last weekend and Java Hut was right next to our hotel so we went there for coffee right when they opened and were really happy we stopped in. The decorations at this place is so cute with the paintings and different decor. The person who helped us was one of the sweetest humans I have ever met! She welcomed us so much in fact that we are just wondering if it's time to move away from the bustling city and settle ourselves in this place. If everyone was as kind as she was there, it would be a done deal. The coffee we got was perfect for the cold weather and to sip while we watched the sun rising. He then called out the tacos no pico pretty quickly and I took them outside to my table, opened them... seeing cilantro and some onions leftover. So, you just scraped it off? I'm just so shocked at this. I understand it's busy but you cannot cut corners like this. I paid for this meal so it's very confusing. My husband then took them back and brought out the correct tacos. These tacos were good. Pulled pork, eggs, cheese. They didn't skimp on ingredients. The homemade corn tortillas were great. Then they made me wait for all the coffee to be prepared in front of me before they would give me ice. Why they are not capable of a 15 second grab a quarter and give me ice exchange, I have no idea. Seems like a pretty easy task to me. Gabby and Victoria, if the stress of a coffee shop is too much for you, perhaps you should consider a new job that doesn't involve customer service. Great way to start the day!

Husband and I both go Thai tea Boba and that was the best way to end the night. Definitely recommend, they also gave us complementary mochi ice cream and edamame due to the mix up and wait which we appreciated.

I would venture to guess that they boiled a whole box and dumped that same portion into her bowl. Way too much pasta and lacking balance with the few scattered tomatoes and protein, of what looked to be a boiled chicken breast. Wishing we could have visited here in its prime. It was a spicy bite and I cannot eat it. I took it back in and tried to explain to the gentleman that I could not eat it but he would not refund my money.
