As a 300# competitive powerlifter it is really hard to find a doctor who can work on me, being lucky enough to find someone who can work on me and not be absolutely brutal is a huge plus. So I narrowed it down by only those who were board certified and randomly chose Dr. Paul Walter and we could not be more pleased. He puts us at ease and my very uptight son finds him easy to be around. Aside from that he is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. My son leaves there feeling better. My husband has chronic back pain and had been to chiropractors years ago but didn't feel like they helped him. I tried to convince him to make an appointment but he wouldn't. Days after his first visit he said he had not had pain after waking up in the morning at all that week (he would have pain daily upon getting up). I slept only on my back with extra pillows in bed to prop up my legs. I had pillows tucked on either side of me so I would not turn over during the night because some sleep positions caused more pain than others. (My husband did not like that). Special pillows when I sat in chairs as firm chairs were unforgiving and caused sciatica pain. I had a special pillow for my chair at the dinner table. I even had a pillow for my lower back while driving. I could not stand for long periods of time. I could not bend down for fear of the shooting pain while getting up. I could not clean or carry moderately heavy things. Forget about exercising or taking long walks. If I did, I knew I would pay dearly for it less than an hour later.
