My first dog (Gunner) started out at this vet when he was a puppy back in 2016. We decided to stay with Beard Navasota even with it being an hr drive away from our house. The staff are some of the most down to earth, real and honest people. 7 years later, I still make the hr drive, taking my animals to a place where I am kindly welcomed, treated with top notch care and feel reassured that I'm not being charged an arm and a leg! So I'm not trying to be a Karen on here. My family has been going to beards Navasota vet for 27 years, and they used to be so amazing. Now the office staff is cold and if you can't afford the huge overpriced bill you have no other option but to put your dog down. I miss when Dr. Ludiker was there. Yesterday I took my 6 month old Boston terrier to the vet for an eye issue and apparently he had an ulcer (looked like eye infection or else I would have taken him in sooner). They wanted to remove his eye $1,444.00 that I couldn't pay up front. So I had to put him down. They offered no help or options. I'm just so disappointed in the price raise and the staff change with no bedside manners. It was a cold experience. read more

Our bunny had a pretty severe injury and after calling 6 vet offices in my area and being told none of them could see rabbits, I called Beard . They were extremely helpful and told me to head that way, they would wait for me. I live about an hour away and they would closing about the time I could get there. Everyone from the front desk to the vet was vet helpful and professional. They did an emergency surgery on our bunny, which made several of them work An extra hour and a half. I was very happy with the care our pet got and will definitely be going back! read more

They are good as a primary vet. My dog had hip surgery here by a mobile vet surgery not a staff vet. Gave no post op orders just here is your bill and dog. Then had to beg for pain pills for her. Had to go to a rehabilitation vet for instructions on rehabilitation exercise. Orders had sitches removal in 10 to 14 days (not a word from vet just pspers) so i emailed them about it. There reply was your instructions said 10 to 14 days I attached them in case you did not get them well obviously i did and was asking if she needed to come in becuse they looked like self dissolving ones. They said you can come in or make an appointment. So i called and made an appointment. Got to the vet a tech came out looked and told me they where the kind that do not need remkving they will dissolve. So half hour drive to be told that. Needless to say i guess new vet time. read more

WARNING DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!! They gave me the wrong medication (it was for dogs not cats)!!! My cat had a small lump under her chin I got her checked for that ended up being a scab and said it wouldn't go away for MONTHS so I need to pay for 50 dollar antibiotics. When I just used saline and it was gone in a week! These people are not right and I don't feel it is in your best interest taking your pets here. read more

Went here for my dogs allergy issue that he had gotten from a grooming visit elsewhere. Dr Goodman checked out his issues. The prescription meds, office visit/exam and bordetella intranasal totalled $100. VCA wanted to charge $324.00 to $405.00 for the same services but VCA wanted to run many undeeded tests and their prescriptions are much higher. Thank God for honest and affordable vets. read more

I trust Beard Navasota for the care of our little Schatzie. This pooch adopted us by showing up on the back porch one morning. After 3 days she finally allowed me to approach her enough to touch her. When the decision was made to keep her, I got all her shots and tests at the traveling clinic. Unfortunately she came up positive for heart worm. Now the puzzle pieces fell into place. It was obvious this poor girl was used for repeated breedings and was never given the proper preventative medication. Once she contracted heart worm, it's my assumption the puppy mill just dumped her. We made the decision to go through the time and expense to treat her. Although not the closest Vet by far, we chose Beard because of their reputation in the community. This isn't your average cat and dog clinic, they handle all animals, small and large. I absolutely love the veterinarians here. I have been bringing my cattle, horses, and dogs here for over 5 years. Dr. Goodman is great! They are always helpful and there for us when emergencies arise. They get us seen quickly and have always been accommodating. We bring our cattle in from Iola, I pass at least one other veterinarian just to take my animals here. I highly recommend them! read more

My husband has used them for many many years and won't take his animals anywhere else. I had a chihuahua named Tinkerbell that had passed away about 3 weeks ago and I took her there for them to send her off to be cremated. The staff was very consoling and the results were beautiful. I got a new baby Lexi a Chorkie she had her first vet visit yesterday and I was so impressed by the treatment of everyone. My little girl only weighs 1.46 pounds and they handled her with the utmost love. They have a one year puppy plan that is extremely affordable. I highly recommend them to everyone. read more

My dog got a major injury from an artillery firework on the 4th of July and I had to get someone to look at him. He would have not made it through the night. He got the whole side of his neck blown open. I got a hold to the Dr. on call that night. He was able to meet me at their hospital. After several hours, well after midnight Dr. Blane Eshberger was able to clean and sew him up. Dr. Blane not only save my dog but was able to make us feel good about his recovery. It's good to know we have this kind of service in our area. My dog is up and back to his old self again thanks these guys. Thank You for being there. read more

BNAH was an outstanding Vet hospital. We have entrusted our pets, show animals & livestock to them for over 25 years. Never once have we questioned or doubted their diagnosis. They have put up with my frantic calls, always dealing with us in the most personal, respectful & kindness way. This past year we've had a very disheartening experience with the newest vet there. It has now lead to a very long path of orthopedic surgeons, neurologist, emotional & expensive distress. Not to mention our other dog whom has experienced seizures for many years ( which they were aware of) was continually prescribed trifexis. That was chalked up to toxoplasmosis. This is to make others aware don't trust what you are comfortable with or what's convenient for you. We love our pets, like we love our children. It makes me extremely sad to see this happen to the animal hospital that Dr.G & Dr.L worked so hard to build. read more

Dr. Wilbur is great! We called about 10 or more "on call" vets in the Conroe area last night due to our gilt having a difficult labor. We left multiple voicemails for multiple clinics and Beard was the only one who called us back! Dr. Wilbur and his tech came out, even though it was over an hour drive, and preformed a C-section. He was calm and did a great job at keeping us and our gilt calm. He is very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we lost the babies because they were SO large, but would have lost them all if it weren't for them returning my phone call! read more

The Beard Navasota vets and their staff are caring people who go out of their way to make sure your pet is well cared for at a reasonable price and that your questions are all addressed. I have taken our four pets, cats and dogs, to them for the last five years and am grateful to them for their patience and good care. Our cat has had ongoing digestive issues that were difficult to diagnose, but they kept with it. Our dog, as a pup, had allergies and demodectic mange which have been resolved well. They have had a program on pet wellness: weight issues - that, although we did not participate, made us more aware of the weight issues of our own cats. A good veterinary clinic. read more
