The inside of this location is nice. It's small with some seating inside but seemed very clean. Service was good as well, the young girls working were friendly. The milk tea was okay, but nothing to write home about. Kind of on the watery side. The boba itself was good. The cream puffs were yummy! The kids really enjoyed them.

Recently stopped by ... staff wasn't as friendly & welcoming ... but stopped by anyhow . Grabbed some teas & mixed cream puff filled with their 3 flavors .. it was alright I don't think I'd go back again tbh . It was just so basic and not worth the price . Stopped into the Rancho Cucamonga location of Beard Papa's for the first time for dessert after dinner. Although I've passed by their shop several times, my family and I finally made the plunge to come in and give them a try. Definitely made a strong first impression with their variety of cream puffs, the taste, and the ability to customize/build your puffs. A solid option for a sweet treat in the area. This location of Beard Papa's is located in the Victoria Gardens shopping center in Rancho Cucamonga. There is plenty of parking shared among the businesses in this outdoor mall to make access to this establishment simple. The store itself has indoor seating for customers to enjoy their treats. At the time of my visit, they had a few customers eating in and several taking their dessert on the go. Staff during our visit were professional and patient with questions. They were also efficient with fulfilling orders. We ended up ordering two cream puffs: - Ube Eclair with Green Tea filling - Strawberry Shortcake Eclair with Vanilla filling Both were very tasty and true to flavor. The Ube Eclair with Green Tea filling was my favorite of the two as both flavors are typically my go to whenever offered. The fillings were light and not too sweet. They complemented the eclairs perfectly. The Green Tea, in particular, had the perfect amount of flavoring without it being an overpowering taste of green tea. The Strawberry Shortcake eclair was also very good. I would order both again without any hesitation! Beard Papa's was the perfect way to end our family dinner night. We're looking forward to visiting again in the future to try more flavors.

My daughter and I popped in here on a whim because we had a sweet tooth. I've never heard of this place and had no idea what to order Ordering is via kiosk. Folks working are working. They're busy making puffs and drinks. I did have a question about the custard drink and one of the ladies was very kind and described what's in it (not much, milk + the flavor you order). We ordered the Oreo custard drink and the honey butter puff with vanilla custard filling. While we were waiting, the couple next to us got their order and it was the ube puff with ube ice cream. I wish we ordered that. The custard didn't sound too good once I saw that. The drink was good. Perfectly Oreo. And I never feel like a milky drink is refreshing but somehow this one was. The custard was alright. I like the crunch to it. Plenty of custard. If I ever go back, I'm going to get the puff with ice cream.

I don't know why I waited so long to try this place out. While I was hanging out at Victoria gardens we stopped in to finally give this place a try. The bright space lifted a smile and we made our selections. Chocolate, churro, ube, strawberry, honey & butter, frozen mango, Oreo, green tea, crispy almond. You can choose your filling flavor which consists of regular cream or ice cream. We chose original and strawberry shortcake puff both with vanilla filling. Wow! Freshly made, a nice little crunch to it and filled to the brim with filling. A change of scenery from the norm of dessert options. The sweet pastry smell permeates in this little shop. Large cream puffs or mini sizes. Boba drinks are also available. Small plates knives and forks if you plan to eat inside. Friendly, efficient service! Will definitely come back to try more filling flavors but can't go wrong with the original.

No matter how many times, I have shopped at the Victoria Garden, I never gotten a chance to try the Beard Papa's. I was here with a friend to try this place for a dessert. I tried the original puff, which was filled with delicious, whipped cream. I also ordered Orange Jasmine Tea with Crystal Bobas. Service was great and ambiance was cute. But then I remembered trying it long time ago in Little Tokyo, LA.

I happened to be at Victoria Gardens to pick up some flip flops from JCPenney. I've been wanting to grab some Coastal Cane sugarcane juice. As I was walking towards the Victoria Gardens Food Hall, I noticed Beard Papa's at the corner right outside next to the food hall entrance. I've read about them through the Yelp events, but haven't yet tried them. So guess where I went next after Coastal Cane? That's right... right here LOL. It's a very bright yellow and comfortable shop with good inside seating. They weren't too busy at the time of my visit which is perfect for me so I can take more photos. I really didn't know what they specialize in until I walked up to the counter... basically creme puffs with your preferred choice of filling. What a cool concept! I asked the nice ladies behind the counter, what was their best seller? Honey & Butter was the answer so that's what I got with vanilla filling. The creme puff was very tasty, but the vanilla filling was a tad light in the sweetness. I'm a sweet tooth! After eating my creme puff, I decided to order a couple more to go for my daughters. Before deciding on the filling, I got to try a free sample of the chocolate and matcha green tea fillings... they were both very good... sweetness was better. Thank you! I ended up gettting the ube with vanilla filling for my eldest daughter and oreo with chocolate filling for my youngest daughter. Both my daughters enjoyed and liked their creme puffs very much. I'm a Beard Papa's fan now. I'll definitely return to try their other variety of creme puffs and fillings. I will buy more next time. Btw, they do sell other desserts and drinks, too.

Missed the experience to get to try in Japan, so was glad to stumble upon a location here in Victoria Gardens! Got a few flavors to try with the fam: Ube Eclair w/ Vanilla Filling, Oreo Eclair w/ Cookies & Cream Filling, and the Original w/ Vanilla. For the original, super fluffy and airy, yet crispy pastry. On the inside, a chilled and generous amount of cream that is the perfect amount of sweet. Custard texture with an almost ice cream like flavor. For the eclairs, the flavored chocolate coating on top contributed a little more of a bite and were super yummy as well! They'll run you around $5 a pop which may sound like a lot for the idea of a traditional cream puff but I think they're worth the price!

I recently bought a dozen mini cream puffs from Beard Papa's at Victoria Gardens - 6 Originals and 6 Green Tea. Personally, I found the Originals better. With 6 filling options like Vanilla, Chocolate, Green Tea, Ube, and Ice Cream, the Ube at a Yelp Event I recently tried stood out as my favorite. Although a bit pricey, these fresh and delicious cream puffs are totally worth it. They offer a range of large cream puff shells (Original, Chocolate, Green Tea, and more) with various fillings. The options are diverse, including desserts and Boba drinks. Service was good, and the place was kept clean. I rarely eat cream puffs because they're too rich or sweet for me. However this place's cream puffs are just Perfect!!! Not too sweet, but so much flavor, bread was perfect. Amazing presentation. Yes they're pricey but yes they're worth their price because they are a Gourmet pastry. I can't buy too many because they're pricey but they are worth the money. I had to control myself and only buy 3 and spent around $18 I think? Chose s'mores, strawberry cheesecake, churro-- with vanilla filling. And of course the service was great too, he explained everything when I could've just looked up and read the menu with common sense haha. Thanks!!

I remember Beats Papa's being just a few feet away here in VG in 2008. Different owners however and it only lasted a few years. This owner is very nice and I wish him well and many years here at wonderful VG. Puffs are great, just the right amount of sweetness and very fresh. I had the chocolate one and loved it. read more

This Beard Papa's is the best I've been to by far. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for a place to rest after a long shopping spree. Their creampuffs are perfectly crispy and the filling is the perfect sweetness. The staff are nice and quick in making my food. I was SUPER excited when I stumbled upon Beard Papa in Victoria's Garden. The girl behind the counter was pleasant and the ambiance fresh and trendy. I ordered a dozen, which came out to $50... REALLY high for me, but it's Bread Papa, lol. Unfortunately, I won't patron this establishment again. I know there are MUCH BETTER QUALITY, somewhere else. The pate a choux was way over cooked! It was barely lighter than the color of maple syrup. The texture was beyond dry and cracker like. From the the first bite it crumbled, cream was oozing all over the place. It got worst with every bite. Majority of the cream filling ended up in my wrapper. The cream was ok, nothing worth writing home about. It was a little watery and lacking in the flavor department. For $50, I expected a well made cream puff. So disappointing... read more

I was very surprised to see a Beard Papa's in Victoria Gardens! I grew up eating Beard Papa's cream puffs in Hawaii, Bay Area, and Japan. I'm giving 4 stars only because the cream puffs were definitely smaller in size compared to ones I've had at different locations. They also are sold ala carte so no discount for purchasing by dozen or half a dozen. If you haven't tried Beard Papa's, you totally should! The choux cream is not too sweet and creamy, and the shell has a nice crunchy texture that won't make the cream puff soggy. Must eat the cream puffs the day of purchase for optimum freshness! read more

I was so excited to find our that there is a beard papa's in rancho cucamonga. I grew up eating beard papa's in Japan and up in the Bay Area. However, I was kind of disappointed that they do not have matcha filling during the weekdays and the price of each cream puff does not get cheaper by the dozen or half dozen. But overall the cream puffs were delicious, and good for the IE. read more

We tried strawberry with vanilla cream, Oreo cookies and cream and with vanilla cream, and green tea with green tea cream. They were super yummy. All my kids loved it. They people who worked there were so kind too. They even gave us complimentary strawberry shakes and a sample of the other cream fillings like chocolate. The entire place was clean. The bathroom was clean. It was a perfect dessert to share with the kids. We all left happy. read more

I go to the one in Pasadena and I love it. The one in Rancho is not very clean and the way they handle the cream puff and put it in a dirty tray with no paper is not very appetizing. When I got the home the choux pastry was dry, hard and overcooked. I was so disappointed. I got the chocolate eclair. All the pastries looked liked they had been in the case for a month. It tasted really stale! So sad! The one in Pasadena is so good. I wanted to love it. The girl that worked there was pleasant but they did not seem very well organized. read more

I had heard about this chain and had to try while shopping at Victoria Gardens. I got a variety of cream puffs (original, green tea, chocolate, Oreo) with a variety of fillings. I made the mistake of not eating it right away and refrigerating it overnight, and I think it definitely changes the quality. They were still good, not spectacular, but pretty pricey for pastries. I'll start by saying that I'm not a cream puff fan. That being said, these were amazing. My wife and daughter each ordered their own so I sampled those. Strawberry puff filled with chocolate and an oreo puff filled with vanilla. The pastries and fillings were both really good. Not too sweet or over bearing, light and fluffy. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. Conveniently located and easy to get to despite beefing in a major shopping center. The employees were great as well and accommodating! Loved its different flavored pastries! It was my first time trying an actual cream puff that wasn't from a box at Costco and they were delicious. The employees there were very friendly and helped me out with what flavors I should get because I was new. I always love Beard Papa's but this one is especially good. I usually get the regular/big size cream puffs from other BP locations, but this time my bf got a cup of small cream puffs of different filling flavors and man, was it the right call. Each puff was light, airy, and creamy with a light crisp to the outside. They had the perfect ratio of bun(puff?) to filling. We were just passing through Rancho on our way to Big Bear, but next time we're in the area I will definitely be back to this Beard Papa's. read more

This is the best for a quick and light dessert. The vanilla and strawberry filling is so yummy. I loved the small honey creme puff with vanilla filling best. My boyfriend enjoyed the eclair puff with vanilla filling. The filling is not too sweet, which is what I love. The staff is kind and quick with your order. I can see myself coming here to work on an assignment and sip some tea! Will be back. read more

I work in Victoria Gardens and I am always super excited to try new spots on my breaks. My first two times going were great, I ordered 6 the first time for me and some coworkers and popped in for a single the second time. Cream puffs are delicious, not too sweet and light/fluffy. The last time I went in the girl at the counter didn't even acknowledge me, no hello or what can I get for you. It was super awkward and uncomfortable. After i ordered I was attempting to use the top to pay feature which wasn't working and the girl then snatched the card from my hand to manually run it. If I wasn't on my break I would have asked to speak to a manager. If you do not care about service then check it out. I'll probably skip over it if I see the girl that helped me as I work hard for my money and expect a little more respect when I spend it. read more

I was so excited to hear about a Beard Papa's opening up near by! When I lived in Northern California, I would visit the one in Berkeley all the time. The new location in Rancho did not disappoint. The green tea/green tea puff is to die for. Not overly sweet and a true matcha taste. read more

I pray that Beard Papas runs out of business. The staff is so horrible and stuck up and the owners think they know how to run a business when they don't. The food is horrible and so overpriced. Like who's gonna pay that much for trash food. The place is so dirty and they seem to not care about how it looks. All they care about is taking peoples money and scamming them. This lady Regina is such a bad worker. She has such a bad attitude and should not be anywhere near a business. I wish I could give zero stars. Do not come here! read more

I just noticed they feel very different from when I get cakes at any other bakery. Even so, the taste of the different flavors they offer are decent. I get really disappointed because I hear others say how good they are. Take it as you will, but if you're like me you probably don't wanna get any here. On the upside, I think their bread is worth trying out.

The employee refused, telling her she had to take the older bread first because they needed to sell those ones off. She had an attitude for no reason. This was confusing and rude, especially since they usually yell "fresh bread" to encourage customers to grab the newest items. To make matters worse, a man walked in just two minutes later and requested three of the exact same fresh breads, and the same employee gave them to him without hesitation. The inconsistency and blatant lack of customer service were incredibly upsetting. It is disappointing to be told you have to take "old" product while others are given the fresh items you specifically waited for. Sad...what a waste of time coming here. We ended up not buying the bread. lol and the manager just responded in a typical way but offered no free bread for us to return...that would be the proper way to operate.

I went after school around 3 pm and was immediately greeted by a worker. I was surprised to see the shop empty... it was just the worker and me! I explained that it was my first time, and they kindly walked me through all the different options. There were so many to choose from that it was actually difficult to narrow down my picks. They all looked so yummy! In the end, I walked out with a Nutella donut and a Fruity Pebbles donut. I usually find that bakeries and donut shops selling these types of specialty donuts tend to upcharge or be fairly expensive. However, the donuts here were reasonably priced! This was not our first time ordering from Mr. Baker we usually stop in and pick cakes straight from the display case but this was our first custom cake experience, and it was so easy from start to finish. When we went into the bakery, we were given a card with the email address and told to email the baker directly. I emailed that Saturday while still in the store, and by Sunday morning I already had a response from Victoria. She was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process! I sent her inspiration pictures, and she quickly provided three different quote options. All of the inspiration cakes I sent included fresh flowers, and Victoria explained that we would need to bring our own flowers to the bakery the Friday before pickup so they could safely place them on the cake the next morning. Everything went smoothly, and when we arrived to pick up the cake, it looked absolutely stunning! The flowers we brought in were beautifully arranged, and the entire cake looked elegant and professionally done. We ordered vanilla cake with buttercream and their Strawberry Chiffon flavor, and both were AMAZING. Everyone at the bridal shower kept talking about how delicious the cake was! So many guests had never heard of Mr. Baker before and wanted to know where the cake came from that we actually brought extra business cards and handed them out during the shower. Thank you so much to Victoria and the entire team at Mr. Baker for creating such a beautiful cake and making the process so easy. Everyone there is always so kind and welcoming, and we will definitely continue ordering from them in the future!

I chose to order from their monthly menu online. I went with a unique item, "Hangover Chilaquiles" in their drunk sauce for $23. The drunk sauce is a guajillo pepper and tree chili sauce. It's served with beans from the pot, lamb, panela cheese, pico de gallo, radish, 2 eggs (I ordered over medium), and side of consome. I would order this again. The lamb was slow cooked and tender. The sauce was rich, fill bodied, and not too spicy. I love that they use this tortilla chips because they don't turn soggy with the sauce. There is options for both and table seating. This place gets busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. They can also accommodate a large party but call ahead to plan.

never been the one to be "negative" but if i can save someones time and money then thats what it'll be. The cream was sub par and was foamy, did not have quality consistency texture to it. The breading was hard as a rock, you can probably hurt someone if it was thrown at them. Wish it was warmed up or something.
