Tub Coaters sent out Geronimo promptly and he made some of the repairs even though it was almost 8pm. He's has been here before and I can confidently say he's just as patient as he is competent. Eric worked with me on the price and I'm happy with the repair. As for WHY Tub Coaters wasn't picking up my calls resulting in my 1 star review? Eric said they use some fancy VoIP phones and in an effort to avoid spam calls, the system blocks numbers that call repeatedly (sigh). What's the solution? They said they'd speak to their phone provider to get it fixed up. And how can we get ahold of them? I'd suggest filling out their online form. Hopefully, those messages will go directly to them! If you get Alex's direct line, give him a call. He's still as reliable as ever

$4600 for two bathroom refinish jobs…read more Did they fix the tile? Sure. Does the paint look pretty? Sure. ITS NOT WORTH $4600 when it chips within weeks and painters tape takes off the finish!!!!! My professional painters were flabbergasted and can't even fix it because Tub Coaters uses some sort of spray paint that we can't buy. AND they want to charge me $45 for a touch up? Are you joking me? They got paint on our freshly done balcony roof, and my sidewalk. I have a complete shit time getting a hold of anyone there. They are not timely at all. They came to "fix" the flaking paint yesterday and then left because the office called and told the guy to go to a different job!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This job was done only a few months ago and we haven't touched the paint with anything but painters tape by our contractor. It SHOULD NOT COME OFF LIKE THAT. Y'all don't stand by your work and it's TERRIBLE. These 5 star reviews are a joke. This company is a joke and the selling tactics and procedures are predatory. The fact that they have to defend that they've been in business 25 years and have many happy reviews does not change our terrible experience. They've been awful to work with. This paint job is not worth what they're charging and if I had known better I would have gone somewhere else who was charging less and had better customer service. But they were "fast" and could come sooner. My mistake.

GET AN ESTIMATE/ QUOTE IN WRITING BEFORE LETTING ANYONE WORK IN YOUR HOME!!!!! I wish I had read…read morethe reviews before working with this company. I purchased my first home, and I wanted the floors stained a darker color before moving in. I did a quick Google search and they were a top hit for the area. I was crunched for time and needed it done as I was moving in within the next week or so. I was quoted a price to do the entire house. When the workers came, we realize they would only be able to do the main floor. I let them start because the quote for the whole house was still reasonable and I assume that the main floor would be less than that. The work was completed and I was called with the final number. it was more than expected but I agreed. I was on travel and needed to pay the next day when I got back in the country. When I called back, the price had been raised another $600 and a lien was threatened on my home for these charges. The workers left with lights on in my house overnight multiple days., close the windows after I open them, which caused the fumes to fill up the house, and several missed spots around fixtures and appliances in the kitchen. Overall, my experience wasn't bad until I was overcharged and then threatened to be sued over charges that were trumped up and added out of nowhere. I would never recommend this business to anyone after my experience. It turned moving into my first home To it unnecessarily stressful moment.

I am extremely disappointed in this company and their lack of communication and transparency…read more We hired Fabulous Floors to refinish our hardwood floors and we were so excited to see the results, and were surprised to see wood stain ALL OVER our shoe molding. When we asked Matt if the plan was for Fabulous Floors to touch this up with paint, he said that "they aren't painters" and that we should have known that this is a common thing to happen. Matt explained that "everyone" knows that you either replace or repaint the shoe molding after restaining floors. I explained that maybe that's a common known part of the process in the industry, but that it definitely isn't obvious to homeowner to assume that they should prepare to incur additional labor costs to make the floors look presentable after we've paid for this "complete" solution. We also asked if there was anything we could do to help prep for the work, and Matt responded that we didn't need to do anything. We would have gladly taped off the molding to protect it if we knew that Fabulous Floors was not planning to do so. In no part of our initial consultation was replacing or repainting the molding mentioned, and in all of the before-and-after photos and process videos (shared on this very page) by the company, the shoe molding is in perfect condition after the work has been completed. In the process video, it even shoes the molding being removed between Step 1 and 2. This could have been avoided with up front communication. More disappointingly, upon bringing this up to Matt, he seemed extremely unconcerned and said "it's not a big deal for you to just grab a paint brush and paint it". It is frustrating to pay a company to do a service and be treated this way, and to have your home looking worse than it did before.

However, there were a bunch of gouge marks left. My tub, and the finish is able to be indented with light pressure of a fingernail. That doesn't seem quite right, so I've made multiple attempts to contact the company. I've only managed to get on the phone with somebody one time in the month and a half since my service, and the person that I spoke to on the phone refused to address that I have physical gouges left in my tub that I can see and feel. He dodged the question, and kept saying that he couldn't comment on any of the work that was done on my visit. He very directly said that I should wait a month and be sure to use the tub and then call back in a month, at which point. I again had issue getting a hold of anyone in the company. So they won't take any responsibility for the quality of their work. If someone isn't happy with it. Would not use again in the future just for this.

He replaced some damaged boards with original wood that was a perfect match. He also worked with them as they moved their furniture and went out of town for the weekend, during which time he completed the job. Jason Brown did an equally fantastic job with our house. We had not moved in, so we all had that to our advantage. He refinished our original early-20th century hardwood floors with inlay strips around the edges, as well as newer bamboo floors in the kitchen. We went for no stain. Jason's knowledge of historic flooring really showed in our conversation during his site visit. He was so professional and accommodating, even though I'm kind of a jerk. The job went perfectly smoothly and quickly, completing our whole downstairs in two days. I admittedly didn't get other estimates, as his price didn't shock me and I knew I could rely on his quality, service and schedule. We couldn't recommend Jason Brown Wood Floors any more highly! Hopefully he will still be willing to come back and do our upstairs!
