This place has always been awesome! One of my top five places to go in Knoxville because they have games, cool Ambience and a pretty sweet bar. Just know even though they are open till about 3 a.m. the bartender's tend to feel like they run the place and try to shut it down a little early like starting at 2:30. Also the kitchen closes down at about 12 so make sure you get your food orders in and not be excited about a late night snack. This is a 21 and up establishment which means you can smoke inside which is cool for some people and it is nice to have so definitely not kid-friendly. This is an upstairs and downstairs joint as upstairs they do have pool tables and shuffleboard. They used to have ping pong but I'm not sure if they still have that out regularly now. It's a bummer but you will live. Wings are pretty awesome here and the beer is well.... beer. Have fun with some friends and de-stress a little bit at this pretty open and fun bar. The staff is really chill so there shouldn't be too many problems unless you're truly an asshole*. read more

I think the best part about the Fieldhouse is it has something for everybody. Some nights they offer poker, other nights trivia, the food is great, the staff is awesome, it's a very well run establishment. It offers an outdoor patio and at least five or six Golden Tees. My review is based on a delivery, but the food is the focus of this review. The chicken wings are very tiny. Usually there's a normal size, and then wing only places that make huge wings. I'm not sure why these are so small, but they feel like they're wings for kids. The fries are the worse. They're super brown or overcooked. Not sure how anyone likes them. Also not seasoned at all. They give you a lot too..which made it worse. Had to throw them out. Never thought I could have bad fries. The blt, and hamburger are lackluster too. I celebrated my retirement this past Saturday night and I had The most fantastic time at the Fieldhouse! One of the owners (Pamela) came to our table and made everything really special with a nice bottle of champagne and had the kitchen prepare a vegan meal for me. Worst food and experience I've had since I've lived in Knoxville. They don't take to go orders over the phone you have to use a third party service, as we were told when we called in. We placed our order and long story short they no longer carried one item because they don't update their only online ordering company. After several calls back and forth from the third party company from two different departments - both called to tell us our order had changed. Upon arriving for pickup, the food was ice cold, wings were pathetic in size and the okra looked like pre frozen dog food, actually I wouldn't make my dog eat it. This place is GREAT for drinks. The bar has several international and domestic beers including a long list of ciders. There are also 9 million TVs, so you can sit in any place and watch a game. I was there to watch UT play Florida, and I was able to watch the tragedy from every angle. It was a sad night for the Vols. I only ate fries, but my friend ordered an obviously straight from the freezer chicken finger basket. They looked dry and very bowling alley foodish. He didn't enjoy them, but did finish them. So if you go, I would say eat first and then arrive here for the TVs, atmosphere, and beer. read more

I've only had food delivered from here, never actually been there. I work in one of the local hospital ER's and we order from a lot of different places so we can have some variety. We ordered from here a few weeks ago and the food was great, I got an awesome burger and the onion rings might have been the best I've ever had. And the portions were good. So when it was thought of last week to order from here again, I was all about it, and I was excited to get those onion rings again. But after getting them and only getting 7 extremely over cooked rings, and that awesome burger was dry and bland, I'm done with them. At over a dollar a ring and I had to throw most of them away. The place absolutely wreaked of that industrial cleaner (I know you know the one I mean), it wreaked of cigarette smoke (because it's a smoking bar, which I didn't even know still existed in this country, but alas...). They are currently running a grand opening special for the entire month with happy hour prices all the time. They advertise all domestic draft beers for $2. Was in a couple of weeks ago and got a Fat Tire. Nice. Was in today and they were out of Fat Tire (and a few others) and so I ordered a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. When the bill came it was $3 rather than $2. I asked the waiter and he checked with the bartender who maintained that it was not a "domestic" but rather a craft. Last time I checked California (home of Sierra Nevada Brewery) was still in the United States and hence its beers are, by definition, domestic. My brother and I were greeted at our table in under 30 secs by a beautiful and charismatic server named Elle who promptly took our drink orders and gave us menus. I'm from Philadelphia, so when a menu says "Move over Philly" next to their cheesesteak I take issue, however, Chef Stephan out did any cheesesteak you will find in Philly, even Jim's on South Street. 3 pool tables, 6 trivia / game stations, shuffle board and darts, makes this THE place to be in Knoxville when I come around! Been coming here for a long time now. Food, beer selection, and service are always great. But the owner, Pam, has made me decide to stop coming in anymore. Every time I see her hanging out in her own establishment she is belligerent, wasted, grabby, and disruptive. I'm fairly laid back so I never let it bother me before, even though I don't personally think that it is a good look for her own business. This past saturday, my coworkers came in after we got off of work and she was there drinking and acting like she usually does. But after a few minutes she comes up to our table, introduces herself, and asks if we have any cocaine and/or anything to smoke weed out of. Appalled, we all quickly say no, which she responds with anger because we didn't have what she wanted. We immediately paid and left. I always enjoyed coming here but if the owner is willing to destroy her own business by acting like a degenerate, it is not the place for me anymore. The wife and I had a burger here this afternoon. Really good burgers (we both got the Benton Bacon Cheddar Burger), excellent fries, and really good onion rings. The service was quick and efficient, and our server was friendly and very helpful. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is we didn't really fit with the crowd - it seems to be geared toward 20-somethings. You have to be 21 or over to be there, since it's a smoke-friendly establishment (and it smells like one). We will probably get food there again, but it will most likely be to-go. read more

I was happy to find this location in West Knoxville had been converted into a cool pub with an awesome selection of brews (probably over 50 or so) from all over the world. Plus, the service was really good. The bartenders and waiters were quick and friendly. Finally, the food was tasty pub yum at a reasonable price. All of these things, coupled with the fact that it is owned locally (not some corporate conglomerate so popular in West Knoxville), make me give this place five stars. Buy local. Service wasn't great, took our waitress forever to get back to us. Food was terrible. Ordered the beer cheese appetizer and waited 15 or 20 minutes for pre frozen bad pretzels and cold beer cheese. This place has a couple modest good points and several glaring problems, all of which can easily be addressed. First, the good aspects of the Bearden Hill Fieldhouse. It has a great location. It sits a top Bearden Hill in West Knoxville with easy access from Kingston Pike and I-40. It has plenty of parking. The interior is fine, a little garish; but that is more or less expected at a sports bar. There are plenty of large TVs, pool tables and some video arcades. It also has an extensive beer selection. Beer boutiques are en vogue in Knoxville at the moment, with several opening in the area recently. This is a good trend and Fieldhouse is a good option for those tired of Bearden Beer Market or the Casual Pint. The menu is different for a sports bar, to say the least. Interesting dishes dot the menu, such as Cornish Game Hen. Unfortunately this comes at the expense of the more traditional sports bar foods, but there is a decent selection that should meet most palates. I have eaten their twice, selecting the salmon and cajun chicken sandwich. I was not impressed with either. Both were lukewarm and lacked flavor. I really did not care for the glaze on the salmon. The Asparagus side dish was cold and wilted. I will admit the garlic knot appetizer was pretty tasty and my friend loved the game hen. The burgers looked pretty good as well. I believe the problem with food temperature comes from some hiccups in service, which hopefully will be ironed out before too long. In general, this is a good place for West Knoxville. Anything that breaks the monotony of eating out west is a good thing. However, there are some major problems that need to be addressed before I will return for food service. As a place to enjoy a beer and watch a game, I recommend Fieldhouse. I am sure I will return to enjoy a late night beer after a basketball or football game. Give it time to work out its problems in food service and it will be a great addition to the Bearden area. read more
