This place looks really cool, but that's all it has going for it... They charged me $10 to play pool, but half their cue sticks were broken. Most of the building was empty except for my party of 6 and they had 2 bartenders on shift, but it still took forever to order drinks. I ordered mozzarella sticks that were left sitting in the window so long they came out cold. The food and service were so bad that we left after an hour. The next day I woke up to some surprise charges on my debit card. The staff used my card to close multiple tabs without telling me, even though I only ran it once. Management's response was that I must've gotten too drunk to keep track of my spending. In what world does one man having 3 separate tabs make any sense??? Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

This place is going to be awesome come VOL game days! plenty of open space, games & you can create your own flatbreads/pizza! If I could give a lower star rating I would. Went with a group of people last week. We never received our order...after an hour and a half of waiting. We canceled our order hungry and disappointed Others in our group got their food and it was grossly over cooked. The burgers resembled hockey pucks. Can I give it no stars? We came with a large group (a bus load) after an event. Management had lots of notice and knew that we were coming. First issue, no table service. You had to stand in line and place your order at the bar and there was only one barkeep taking orders. Imagine 40 people standing in line placing their orders one at a time....!!!!!! After finally placing our order we waited patiently at our table to hear that our order was ready. And waited....... and waited..... and waited. An hour and a half later I went to the kitchen window to ask how close our order was and got major attitude back for my efforts. One of our party finally got her food and it was an overcooked grey hockey puck of a burger with a smattering of Sysco fries. The other review comparing the portion size to a McD's kids meal is pretty spot on. All that waiting and frustration just for the privilege of an inedible $15 Happy Meal? I don't think so. The only positive in the whole experience was that there was no attitude or push back from the barkeep when I asked to cancel our order. I know that sh*t happens, but when you know way ahead of time that you're having a large group you staff up for it. Sorry to say we won't be going back to this one. read more

We were able to get a sneak peek at The Local Smokey. The set up is phenomenal and spacious for a sports bar in the downtown area. They have a full craft beer station and another 360 full bar on the adjacent side. They have a space in the front for a live band and several pool tables in the opened back area. What you will really enjoy is the ability to sit anywhere in the building and still see multiple TVs! Check it out! Opening at the end of June 2023! read more

The Local Smokey is one of the best places to find you like karaoke, pool, corn hole and beer pong! They have TVs throughout the place and have specials on different nights. I go on Friday nights for karaoke because Adam with Knoxville Mobile Karaoke is there from 6-10pm and he is the best KJ in the Knoxville area. They have a pretty good menu of bar food and the bartender is massive! The staff is friendly and the owners are as well. If you're a karaoke fan and want to sing on an amazing system then Friday night at The Local Smokey is the place to be! Come check it out! read more

This is a great local spot with personable bartenders and owners. They remember my name and my drink and even what was going on in my life last I was there. I go there mainly for Friday Night Karaoke. It is my favorite venue in town for Karaoke! There is a great crowd of regulars and Adam is the best KJ in town! The only things keeping this from being 5 stars is one that karaoke ends too early, just when the crowd is picking up and people are just starting to join in. Big layout with a lot of TV's for sports. Lots of beer options on tap and food was good. However, we spent a lot of time waiting for drinks and the bar seemed understaffed. The service is HORRIBLE. The bar is pretty packed and they have three bartenders (which were complete a-holes the entire time) that obviously did not want to be there and had a horrible attitude the entire time I was there. The food was good, I will give them that, but last time I was there the staff walked out in the middle of a huge game and they were only offering chips and salsa. I am extremely disappointed. The bar has SO much potential but I will not be returning until there is new staff. They were extremely rude and made the experience un-fun. read more
