Well, we stopped by to share a burger today we were a bit disappointed. It was supposed to be a smashed burger, but wasn't. Pretty sure it was just a couple of frozen Sysco burgers. No smash, no yummy bits on the edge of the burger. I must say the sauce was delicious. And we also ordered onion rings, but we were sadly disappointed again. Mike's is always poppin' with people and on a sunny Saturday afternoon when I stopped in with family, it was a full house. You can order drink & food at the bar and hope the food gets to your table! This is a great little dive. I've been here a few times. The patio is comfortable and dog friendly. The service is consistently good and the food never disappoints. Unquestionably the best onion ring I've had in Chattanooga. The only downfall is the parking lot is a little undersized for the venue and awkwardly designed so parking can be dicey during peak hours. read more

If you're looking for a dive bar with great outdoor seating, plenty of room and good food - this is it. Security is great here as well. The service is hit or miss but is steadily improving as they continue to hire on more people. Place fills up quick on nicer days or sporting events so arrive early if you want a seat. Don't come on Friday or Saturday or during events if you're looking for a quiet place - they usually have the music up loud. I recommend the pizza - it's my favorite in town. I highly recommend the Mike's Hole in the Wall location for events with catering. The staff made it very easy to plan a Surprise Birthday party with flexibility in adjusting our numbers of attendees. They had a professional pit master cook our food! We had over a 100 people and never ran out of delicious food with a buffet of pulled pork, chicken, and steak along with Mexican street corn, baked beans, coleslaw, veggie & cheese tray with keg of beer, mimosa bar, tea, and lemonade. Took clients for lunch yesterday and it was terrible. Two of us had cheese burgers and both said the bread was stale and burnt and the hamburger Pattie was way overcooked. The other person in our group had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and it to had stale bread and not much cheese steak.....will not be back!!! read more

Love this place, typically it's a great Thursday or Friday night spot to meet up with friends for some drinks however, my wife and I went for a little midday stop with our dogs and had a great time! This is a dive in dive out kind of place and did mine quick. I saw one girl in here who had about 15 body piercings on her face alone. I bet she is a regular at this little crowded joint. The parking can be a problem if it is crowded. It don't take much for the parking places to get full. If more than 15 vehicles come, you may not find a parking place. They do have TVs in here and their bathroom is tiny and possibly shared. One thing I didn't like in here was that everybody was smoking. I thought that you couldn't do that in public places like this one but, maybe this is more of a bar. menu items ordered: cheeseburger, tator tots and a coke as you can see in my pictures I took in here. Just a few minutes away from an Air BnB we were staying at in Red Bank, this place looked like my kinda place from the street. According to the locals it used to be across the street & a true hole in the wall, now this place has a huge patio and even though may seem like ample parking it fills up quickly! They are open as Covid winds down. If your going to drink right now you have to order food. Drinks are good, mixed drinks are strong & they have a ton of beer choices! Smoking is allowed on the patio & so are dogs. Michael's on Cherokee is no Mike's hole in the wall...but that's ok because it still has a lot to offer. While it's true we all miss the "old Mike's" and that clankity sound when your glass beer goes down the hole; it's important to be excited for our local 'hole in the wall' because now I'm sure they make more money and also glass isn't as easily recyclable. FOOD Annnnyway, I once consulted that weird feature on my iPhone that tracks how long I've been at a location and apparently I clocked about 40 hours per month during football season at the old Mike's. For those of you who aren't familiar, that's an entire work week but since I'm at work during the week, it's more like every second of every weekend and I'm not proud of that so i kept up the good work going to Mike's and I turned that creepy location tracker shit off immediately and now let me get to the food. I'm pretty sure it's great but clearly I lived off it for so long, I hope you understand it's hard to judge. 2 things are for certain: they make the egg rolls in house and the pizza is awesome. I should clarify that "lunch Mike's" is a different situation - that food is always great. CROWD Unpredictable. It's like Utc frat night sometimes and other times it's people I like. SERVICE I know them so it's great; not sure how it is if you don't know them but my guess is it's also good because if I say it's not then it won't be good for me anymore. SPORTS Mikey sure AF upped his TV game so unless you want to get smoked out at Bud's...well, just go to Mike's *IMPORTANT: if Alabama or the Miami Dolphins are playing...the bar is unpredictable. Met up with a friend on an afternoon. I'm not usually a day drinker on a weekday, but I was off work and this is where the friend wanted to meet. Mike's is definitely a hole in the wall. There were actually several people in there. I guess because they serve food and it was around lunch time. They have a good selection of beers but I chose a cider. In a can and served to me with a nice cold glass. We sat outside and it was a nice day. I see they've added a patio and they have big garage type doors to slide open and let the rest of the bar get a good breeze. They have a pretty decent menu. I chose the ham & cheese sliders. Pretty simple, but yet, my four sliders were burnt. Not cool. They had lots of mustard (a tad too much for me) and pickles. Simple bar food. Should be a no brainer. My dining companion had the same thing and his looked fine. Not burnt. Not sure why cooks burn something and think it's still ok to serve to a customer. I've posted a pic too. It wasn't so burnt that you couldn't eat it and it wasn't worth sending back, but still. A establishment should always serve the best they can. When I first walked in I was expecting plan old bar food. The decor and layout gave it more of a bar vibe then a delicious eatery. The waitress was very kind and quick, never allowing an empty glass. I ordered the special which consisted of fried grouper and 2 sides. I chose green beans and fried okra, from a list of about 7 or 8 sides. It was not too long after we ordered when a nice older man came walking out with our food, checking to make sure we were satisfied. oh and satisfied we were:). The grouper was fried in a delicious batter as well as the okra, jam packed with wonderful flavor. The older man made another appearance to check on the food and to surprise us with a lovely slice of apple pie. I couldn't believe it, it was everything I could've asked for and more! Welp.... this place right here is an all time favorite of mine (as well as most of my friends). We typically go there every time we feel the desire to pound a few cold ones, while simultaneously enjoying the fellowship of the friendly staff and amazingly tasty food. The wings are to die for, but I usually go straight for the Natty/OJ drafts beverages to get me going. I've never had a bad meal there though, and you're never left waiting for your food - the kitchen team knocks it out of the park day in and day out. One huge perk: The hours of operation - they are open from 11am - 3am every single day of the week. So if you want a little lunch? They got you. Do you want a quick meal, cold one, and to knock out a photo hunt game or Golden Tee round of 18? They got you. Do you want to take a step into the wonders of the late night, and dip into some stronger drinks with you buddies until 3am? They got you. Sundays are typically my favorite day to go, especially on a sunny day. They are absolutely packed, and you can't get a single beer without running into 15-40 people you know. I've seen people getting after it harder on Sundays than your typical Saturday - why? I have no clue at all. We were greeted by Savanah who who very attentive she checked on our table every ten minutes to make sure we were okay regardless of how busy she was. If you come here, make sure to ask for her. Dying to give this place five stars but they have no beer list and you have absolutely no way of knowing what beers they have a available unless you walk up to the bar to see what they have on tap. No way of knowing what else they might have had in bottles or cans. I asked my waitress if they had a beer list and she politely said no, but "well what do you like?" I like a lot.
