Service was super fast! Food (shrimp tacos) was amazing. I recommend grilled shrimp! Lastly the beer was cold and refreshing. Place has got a similar sports bar vibe mixed with a Margarita Ville feel. Good for a single or group! Parking can sometimes get tight, so get here in time for Happy Hour! Highly recommended!

I love this bar!!! Trust me everything about it is great! The bartenders the waitresses the servers the food.!! The ambience here is everything that you would think it would be in a sports bar! Don't ever miss a chance to go to Mike's hole in the wall Chattanooga

Dive bar w/ college vibes. If you're looking for a place w/ cheap beer and tasty junk food, this is it. Mike's is always poppin' with people and on a sunny Saturday afternoon when I stopped in with family, it was a full house. You can order drink & food at the bar and hope the food gets to your table! We just ordered fried pickles and it made its way to us fairly quickly, but my sister's nachos took a while - but still made it eventually! Overall, good spot if you're looking for a good place to drink and hang out.

Too early in the day to quit working but at least I didn't need to have any more Zoom meetings. So I landed at Mike's for my final "office" of the day, taking a table for a few emails. I enjoyed a basket of their pickle chips. Tasty and definitely enough for three, served with some tangy dipping sauce. Neat spot and nicer than many of the "dive bar" joints I've seen. I like the outdoor seating and the indoor seating with the big "garage doors" open. [Review 18823 overall - 358 in Tennessee - 2346 of 2022.]

If you're looking for a dive bar with great outdoor seating, plenty of room and good food - this is it. Security is great here as well. The service is hit or miss but is steadily improving as they continue to hire on more people. Place fills up quick on nicer days or sporting events so arrive early if you want a seat. Don't come on Friday or Saturday or during events if you're looking for a quiet place - they usually have the music up loud. I recommend the pizza - it's my favorite in town. We ordered the frito chili dish which was good - just needs MORE chili. I also know they are currently working on expanding their menu which is exciting!

Love this place, typically it's a great Thursday or Friday night spot to meet up with friends for some drinks however, my wife and I went for a little midday stop with our dogs and had a great time! There were lots of other dogs on the patio which made for a real fun time. The food was very tasty and as always the drinks were ice cold! The egg rolls are now one of my top choices!

It's been around for 50 years. Their slogan is fine diving since 1972. It's a dive alright! A great one at that. Small interior, covered patio and picnic tables in the back. Dog friendly, bring your own food and a gravel yard. Beers and mixed drinks and slushy specials. I had the pina colada and hubby had the margarita. Both really good! We were told to keep our cups and bring them back for $1.00 off. Love that it's helping the environment! It's the Southside of Chattanooga, so you know you will find street parking. Also close to hotels so you can walk. We had a lot of fun and plan on coming back with our cups

After waiting about 40 minutes, I politely asked if she had an estimate on how much longer it would be (we ordered one burger and fried cheese to split). She responded that "I don't" and walked away without offering to check on the order or provide any explanation. Because of the extended wait and the way the situation was handled, I crossed out the tip on my to-go order. During the wait, we weren't offered a water or any acknowledgment of the delay. After I asked about the order, Abby proceeded to speak negatively about me to the kitchen staff loudly enough for the entire bar to hear. That was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I had simply asked for an update after waiting well beyond the time we were originally given. I understand that delays happen, especially when a restaurant is busy. However, it wasn't busy. My issue is not with the wait itself, but with the dismissive attitude and unprofessional way the situation was handled. Hope they improve their staffing soon.

So on my first mainland trip in a couple years, I have been trying different burger shops. Jack Brown's had really high reviews, had a super fun vibe, and a really creative menu, which I love. Service was on point. Let's get the elephant out of the room right now - the size. lol I was prepared for a small burger from all the reviews, but, Shake Shack has a small burger, Jack-in-the-Box has a small burger. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight and the dog. But I ain't gonna lie, that is one tiny burger! It's like...five bites? One for each corner, and then the middle. lol They might be better off coring the middle, and marketing them as hamburger donuts. The easy fix is just order an extra patty for a few bucks more. Same as Shake Shack. The other thing I have a problem with is the, "we don't do lettuce or tomato..." line. Sorry, that's like a pizza with no toppings. Really, it just sounds like they found a way to reduce overhead by not having to prep and pay for vegetables. But whatever... if great burgers can be made without lettuce and tomato, and without a big patty...let's get it on. I'm sorry, but that patty was charbroiled to the point of no juice. This is where a tomato might help with moisture. lol I don't see how this is actually Wagyu. A Wagyu burger should be melting in my mouth. I don't know what happened, but it reminded me of my first job at Burger King, running whoppers through the flame broil conveyor belt. If you got one that just came out, you scored big time. But if you got one that just sat in the warmer for 10 minutes, you got a dry burger. It was a very disappointing burger. Then again, I just had a Shake Shack burger yesterday, and it was nomnom greasy goodness. Of course I was going to be disappointed. It's like Ozzy Osbourne following up Slipknot as the opening act. The fries were great. They came in a huge basket, and the price was very reasonable.

Wow. It's been seven hours since I ate here and my stomach still hasn't forgiven me for it…read more I stopped in for lunch with a friend and I ordered a Grilled "Rueben" (yes, the misspelling is theirs, check the menu). Their sandwiches come with chips (I assume they are Ruffles... because they have ridges)... for a buck more you can have fries, or for $1.50 more you can have onion rings. I didn't want any of these, so the server told me I could have a salad (or any of their other sides). She disappeared and soon came back with a small bowl with a couple of pieces of iceberg lettuce, a huge quarter slice of tomato, and a few other "salad-y" type things. It was accompanied by the cup of the thickest blue cheese dressing I've ever seen in my entire life. I turned the cup over and the blue cheese came out in a big clump on top of my salad. I had to break it up with my fork and mix it up with my "salad". There was almost as much dressing as there was salad. Not a good start. Before I was even done with my "salad", our food was ready. This was not too surprising considering we were one of three tables in the place during the lunch rush, but I still thought it was real fast. Our plates were set down in front of us and I was ready to dig in. I grabbed one half of my sandwich and immediately felt that the bread was soggy on one side (the side on the plate)... and not just wet... soggy... soaked as in the bread turned to mush in my fingers. I took a bite and was disappointed even further. Something just didn't taste right. After choking my way through the first half of my sandwich, I figured out what it was. It was the "sauerkraut". It was the worst tasting sauerkraut I've ever put in my mouth. I scraped it off the other half of my sandwich, discarded the soggy piece of bread and folded the remaining half of bread over just the corned beef... that significantly improved the sandwich and that's not saying much. I was also under the impression that my salad would replace my chips... but no, I got a half plate of Ruffles and a fresh from the jar pickle spear too. In fact, I paid an extra two bucks for my little tiny bowl of "salad". Obviously none of the food here is fresh. It's bought at the grocery store, slapped together and heated in the microwave. I think this is more of a "saloon" and the "bistro" was an afterthought. Our server never checked back with us to see how things were going. She did have plenty of time to bring the other tables their checks and to sit and talk with the cooks. In fact, she was so busy with that the cashier (a manager, maybe?) came by with the check for us just after we got our food. In a hurry, much? I mean, were they *sooo* busy that they needed the table space? I think not. As for the decor, it didn't seem that old.... there's been some wear and tear. Obviously, it has a little rougher life when it's a saloon instead of a bistro. Honestly, the best part about this place? Free parking downtown. Maybe this is a great place to listen to live music and drink beer, but stay away from the food... stay far away. My bowels still hate me after eating this stuff.
