Great place for everyone. Animals are amazing and well cared for. Food offerings are also really good.

Such a fun little place. We went when it was cold and snowy and still enjoyed our time. Some animals were out and some were enjoying a nap when we drove through. You have to remember cold, snow, rain or sunshine these are animals and you may not always see them being active when going no matter the weather. Once you are done driving through they have a area that you can walk through and see more animals and get a bite to eat or drink. When driving through the bears make sure to look up into the trees you may find some bears sleeping. read more

Bearizona is a pretty cool experience for kids and adults. There is a drive through part where the animals roam 'freely' in their enclosure and walk between cars on the road so you have to always keep your eyes out . The other portion is a walkthrough zoo with a handful of animals. Definitely a cool experience, will be going back when I have kids! read more

I met friends in Laughlin and they had plans to go to Bearizona. I extended my stay in Laughlin a day so I could drive us to Bearizona. I had never heard of the place until mentioned by my friends from the East. The entrance fee for seniors is $20 per person and you can drive through as many times as you want. They require you to keep your car windows up at all times. There are two parts to the experience. The first part we chose to do was the drive through. There are different fenced areas to keep the animals separated and there are signs indicating what is in each area. The areas have cattle guards to keep the animals from leaving their enclosure and moving to another. There are 39 black bears, mostly rescues. They do not hibernate because they're fed all year. We were surprised by the amount of snow this higher elevation had. Depending on what time of the year you go, make sure to bring an extra coat to wear especially for the walking portion. After our drive through, we parked where you enter the walking area. These are smaller animals for the most part that don't need the large spaces to roam. There's also a petting zoo walk through which we skipped. I can see barnyard animals in any number of places. In the walk through area, there is a gift shop and a snack bar. To get to see the jaguar, you have to go through both--a good business way of getting you to at least notice the goods for sale. The bird show was short and not as good as we expected. There were flights by an owl and other raptors. We enjoyed our visit here. The 300+ mile roundtrip went quickly. I probably wouldn't do the drive from Las Vegas and back in a day. If you're visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, I'd certainly recommend stopping at Bearizona. read more

Wow we absolutely loved this place ! Expecting to find an o.k. roadside attraction on our way home to Los Angeles from the Grand Canyon we found this gem. What a place and what a super cool experience even in the midst of Covid-19. My daughter and I were making the long trek back from Flagstaff AZ but made plans for an early arrival to Bearizona so we could still get back home at a decent hour. We managed to get there close to opening and that meant many of the animals were also getting their day started as most were being fed. Translation was we got to see nearly every animal during both our drive through potion and the walk though exabits. Of course some of the shows and exhibits are temporarily on hiatus because of the pandemic. You start off with the drive through potion, we were fortunate as it was not crowded and as noted above the animals were out and about. Likewise it isn't just one of each and in many cases there were several to a half dozen or more roaming in their mini-sections. These are all North American animals and indigenous to the U.S. for the most part at least on the drive portion. From elk to buffalo to bears and wolves this drive was a real delight. The animals meander about and will get close to your vehicle too. There is no stopping and while this seems obvious you cannot exit your car or keep your windows rolled down. It is hard to say what our favorite was as each little section offered a close up ooh and ahh from both of us. After the drive through portion we headed over to the zoo section. The place is immaculate and the enclosures are large and the animals seem to be in great health and under great care. So many neat things to see, and the river otters are endless fun to watch. How about a litter of grizzly cubs! Why yes they were there and a giant exhibit and enclosure was under construction for when those little tikes become behemoth grizzles. The gift shop and dining hall are equally impressive. Think mountain lodge with incredible attention to detail . The restaurant is chock full of photo ops thanks to their built in dioramas. We could have spent an hour just in those two areas alone. I would strongly recommend Bearizona and actually look forward to the next opportunity to visit....hopefully when all of this Covid stuff is done and dusted. Did I mention it was reasonably priced and by supporting them with your visit you are helping to save more of our natural North American animal treasures. read more

We had a great time. It is easy to drive through and see all the different animals and attend a show inside.

If you want some close up of wild animals, including bears, wolfs, deer etc. this is the place. Take your vehicle through all the many areas of different animals as they walk by your car. Please make sure not to stop too long around certain animals. It was an experience. After you drive through, you go into the main entrance. Park and take a walk visiting all animals, such as a turkey, raccoon, badger, beaver and prairie dog. Just naming a few. It's a very nice park with concession stands if interested in a cocktail or just plain soda. They have food with picnic tables. They do have a tank with otters, which is located right next to the gift shop. The gift shop is pretty large and if interested in seeing a very large snake, you will find one. This place is great to take the kids and enjoy family time. read more

I guess I was expecting this to lean more toward the "roadside attraction" for some reason. The drive-through enclosures are great--large enough for the animals to roam a bit, but small enough that you won't miss them. We got to see a baby bison, and the bears came right up and said hi. The walk through mini-xoo had a nice selection of animals, and is well designed and clean. Definitely worth a visit. read more

In other zoos most of the time all you see are empty enclosures since most animals are sleeping or just laying around. The animal show was amazing. My kids loved it. Pricey but worth it. Make sure and be there early. Most animals are more active in the morning. You can go thru multiple times. Make sure you look out for loops within the exhibits to get a closer look at some of the animals. Plenty of parking available for walk thru zoo. The walk thru zoo was honestly our favorite part. The main gift shop is amazing and has plenty to look at. They have a restaurant as well as a snack bar if needed. Bathrooms could've been a bit cleaner. You can honestly spend a whole day here depending on what you do 1st. Definitely a must stop if in Williams. read more

We stopped in on a roadtrip after Googling things to do and had a great time. Both the walking and driving portion were fantastic! It was super hot that day so we weren't into walking around a ton, but the park had lots of options for refreshments and food around the park. The staff in the gift shop was very pleasant to interact with. The animals were great and fun to watch all over the park. We did the drive thru twice and really appreciated the ability to drive thru more than once. Absolutely recommend to anyone passing through to spend 1-2 hrs here! read more

My boyfriend and I were on a road trip. We happened to see billboards for Bearizona. On our check-out day, we decided to check out Bearizona before we head out to Utah. It is $25 per adult. There is a drive-through portion, as well as a walk-through. I thought the drive-through portion was really cool. We got to see all of the animals. The animals are roaming around, while you stay put in your car. Once you reach the wolves and bears, you MUST keep your doors locked and windows up. I felt bad for the staff because it seemed like they had to keep repeating to not have your windows down when you enter the wolves and bear sections. Not sure why people can't just follow the rules, lol. The driving part was definitely a different and cool experience. The animals did not seem stressed or anything. The animals in the drive-through section seemed happy and were enjoying themselves. For the walk-through, masks are not required. My boyfriend and I of course kept our masks on. The walk-through was like any other zoo. Bearizona was probably the only zoo where I actually got to see all of the animals. No shows were happening due to COVID. We didn't eat any food at Bearizona, but it seemed like mostly American foods. Overall, we had a great experience. read more

We saw this place randomly on the way to the Grand Canyon. After doing some research I heard there were wolves and I knew we had to stop back on our way back home. And I'm very glad I did. Bearizona is a part safari park and part mini-zoo. You get to drive through a 3 mile road and see bears, wolves, deer, bison, and various other wild animals. The animals come up pretty close to the car so it can get scary but they're pretty chill. At the end, you come to this giant parking lot with a mini-zoo area that's definitely worth checking out. They have otters, a leopard, and a petting zoo - among other things. We got this park super early since we were already up to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon. This ended up being awesome as the park was not too crowded. At the main part, there's also bus tours that go it every couple hours. I highly recommend taking a bus tour as it will give you plenty of context about the park, let you see some animals better as they feed them, and give you an excuse to go through again without taking your vehicle. And it's free! Of course, you can drive through as many times as you like which is nice. We did our own drive twice (and the bus tour once). The second time around was closer to noon and we could definitely see a change and more crowds. Also it seemed the animals were less active (but it also might be because it got hotter) I highly recommend this if you're driving back from the Grand Canyon and have the time. We did about 4 hours here but you can do it in 1 or 2, especially if you come here early. I'd recommend taking the bus tour if you can but if you're short on time you can skip it if needed. There were other tours and shows we could have done but we skipped. We felt like we got a good day here. Also for you craft beer lovers they serve Historic Beer which is a local brand from Flagstaff. And you can take it on the bus tours with you. This made my husband very happy. read more

We had a wonderful time. It's a must stop if you are near by. I would like to recognize Maggie, we left our shopping bag and someone was kind enough to return it to the store. If you're in Northern Arizona, then you must stop at Bearizona! This impressive wildlife park features both drive-through and walkable options for spotting bears, wolves, bison, reindeer and more. Many of the animals are orphans and other rescues. Masks are not required in the walk-through area and some of the guests pay zero attention to social distancing do you need to be ready to move away as needed. We decided to visit Bearizona to wind down our vacation and it did not disappoint! We found the park to be quite expansive and thoroughly enjoyed the drive thru. We love going to Bearizona!! This time was really fantastic. we were sitting down having a drink after cruising through and watching the animals and then coming in and walking through the park. We met the most to fantastic people. We set there and talk to them for a little bit. Then one of the gentleman says nice to meet you. My name is Sean and I am the owner of Bearizona and this young man right here is Ed our guy in IT fiber optics department. I know to some this might be silly, but we were honored and excited. They were so down to earth and so down to earth!! We really enjoyed our time with them and hope to see them again when we go back. So not only can you see a whole bunch of animals but you also get to meet the staff and sometimes the owner which is really fantastic. The people are very lovely up there. always pleasant, always happy The zookeepers always answer your questions when they do the zookeeper talk in the afternoons while sometimes feeding the animals. Super cool surprise on our trip! We saw the advertisement for this on the highway and decided to stop. This is a drive through AND walk through animal attraction. Perfect attraction for social distancing if you only did the drive through portion. There were sections with burros, wolves, bears, deer, and many more animals! The walkthrough portion had raccoons, red foxes, otters, a jaguar, farm animals like goats and chickens, raptor birds, "kindergarten" bears, baby bears, and many more animals! Super family friendly/friendly for all ages, and cool place that felt safe and clean. Restrooms were clean. There is a coffee shop, beer & cocktails stand, coffee & smoothie stand, ice cream stand, full restaurant and large gift shop. No shows were happening at this time due to the pandemic but everything else was open and normal! Masks were required in the gift shop but optional elsewhere. We had ours on the whole time in the walk through area and it felt like 50/50 that other guests did too. Their signs said half the animals are rescued. The other half were therefore bred in captivity? The drive through enclosures felt large and the animals did not seem under duress or stressed. I am not very fond of zoos so I would say the drive through had sanctuary vibes but the walk through was modern zoo vibes. In case you want to factor that in. It was $120 (maximum price for a vehicle) because we are 5 adults. The Bloody Mary was super good! The smoothies and other cocktails were solid too. :) read more

We decided to take a day trip out of Las Vegas and figured this would be the perfect place to go. It's such an easy drive from Las Vegas, a little over 3 hours. The weather is cooler for sure and the drive thru part of the park is so much fun! I loved the bears the most! We went to the walking part of the park and it was also great, I was disappointed that masks were not worn by a lot of people (Covid-19) and masks were not enforced. We wore ours and still enjoyed being at the park! It's small and the price is perfect, my husband is a veteran so we did get a discount $4 off. I can't wait to come back and do it again! read more

All I can say is OMG! The conditions they keep these poor animals in is a disgrace. You would think with all the money they bring in at this establishment the animals would have a 1st class facility! Super friendly and helpful staff! Well maintained zoo with some interesting features. Definitely get there first thing so it's less busy and the animals are more active. We arrived at 8:45 and by the time we left around 11:45, most animals were already napping! We didn't eat in the restaurant but we ate at the snack place and the food was subpar and way overpriced. But again, super friendly staff!! Squirrels do jump on the tables there and literally swipe your food so be forewarned. The coolest thing wasn't even the bears it was the jaguar exhibit. It's fascinating and they come right up to the glass and paw at you! Sad we missed the flying raptor show due to Covid... we'll probably make the drive up again to see this one day! read more

wow this was such a great pit stop before reaching Sedona!! We just decided to only do the drive thru exhibit and passed on the walk thru for now but I'm sure we will be back one day! But took us maybe an hour to get through the drive tho and we got close up to the bisons and bears! Also saw some sleepy wolves but they were so cute! Still a 5 star experience and getting better with the new attractions. We really liked the black jaguar in his new giant home, but he was on the ledge the whole time napping. If you went upstairs to the restaurant, you could see him from behind up close, but no face view on this day. The bird flight show was pretty fun with some close calls to my head. Restaurant is self service and basically they used to smoke brisket, but now it is more normal food (did not try) Bear Cubs - very cute climbing trees in the enclosure Wild Bus Ride - still one of the must do's, but every ride differs as to what you will see. Try to get everybody to howl. Snack bar - bad food..pretzel and cheese were way below par Badgers, otters and plenty of bears witnessed all over the park and still love those Giant ravens. We came during the covid-19 isolation. First time here, & I must say, I was impressed. Plenty of animals as you drive through the paved acres. Today the wolves & bears were very active, so that was fun. I heard that during lunch, they're fed on the side so you can see them up close. After the drive, you can park & walk to see more animals. There was a petting station (which was closed) & more bears. The most fascinating were the Jaguars, who were also active up close! They offer a restaurant (which was obviously closed), food stand, and mini bar. It seems they're also expanding. I noticed that there was construction going on. So more animals! We had a spontaneous visit here during a COVID-19 getaway to the forest. We had our two dogs in the truck and were pleasantly surprised to find that they park is open (certain areas) and that our pups were welcome for the drive through portion. The drive was really nice and we saw all the animals... wolves, buffalo, bear, burros! It was fun, a slow drive that took us about 30 minutes or so? They will let you drive through as many times as you want same day which I thought was cool. The animals are RIGHT there. It is nice to see them roaming around living their best little mountain lives. I can't comment on the rest of the park, but I know there is a walking area open during the pandemic. The place was busy and it was great to see folks trying to infuse a little fun in their lives by visiting Bearizona during this crisis. read more

Totally worth visiting! If it wasn't for this place, I would of never been able to get this close to a wolf or a bear. The environment for the animals is beautiful. The only thing I wish they had in place were more signs and people guiding the vehicles where to drive. At one point there were so many different lanes and multiples cars were cutting the line. Overall great experience and it was nice to get out of the AZ heat this summer. read more
