Love this place. You walk into to the cutest gift shop and this time specifically, they had some babies in a cage by the cashier. The cashier was super friendly and nice and informed us what the two babies were and that we could pet them through the gate. She informed of us everything as this was our first visit and we got the deer food and headed out. Besides it being so hot, we all thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Lots of deer to feed and pet and then a section you can walk through to see the other animals there. Before heading back in, you see a window to the right and says you can open to talk to "me". There was a cockatoo I believe.

This is a cute little zoo which gives you the opportunity to hand feed the deer. You enter through a gift shop to pay the entrance fee. You have the opportunity to buy food for the deer. I just got the small cup which was $4, but they also have a bigger size cup and an entire bucket. The small cup is plenty for me, but we did see a family with your kids that have the bucket. It comes with cups that you could refill from the bucket. There's a sweet little cat that lives in the gift shop named Pumpkin. When you first go in you pass a pen with some goats in it. We laughed because a large goat came to the fence to look at us and the Little goat came and head butted the bigger goat as hard as he could. He was an annoying little guy for the big goat. You go through another gate and you see the deer everywhere. They are some tan ones and brown ones and lots of spotted ones. They definitely recognize the cup because several immediately came over to us. Some of them can be rather aggressive, pushing others out of the way. They also use their head to get your attention. I put some food in my hand and they ate straight from my hand. I tried to be fair and make sure some of the smaller or less assertive dear got some food. Several times I found that they were trying to eat my dress so I just step back and pulled my skirt out of their mouth. It's actually kind of funny. My husband is correct - it is kind of gross because they lick your hands, but I really enjoy it anyway. There's a sink to wash your hands. There are some other animals to walk around and see you - - the camel, different kinds of deer, a wallaby, a zonkey (half zebra half donkey), reindeer, a tiny pony, there's even a little marmoset. I love to see the animals, but if you have depends seem a little small and I like to see the animals have lots and lots of space. I think if you have kids that are easily intimidated and scared, dear might be too aggressive for them. My kids would have been fine, but I know people with children who would probably start crying, so keep that in mind.

The deer farm was such an amazing experience! A very lovely stop on our roadtrip. Highly recommend

The Day I Was Mugged by Deer (In the Best Way) If you're driving through Northern Arizona and see a sign for Grand Canyon Deer Farm, pull over immediately. Trust me. This place is basically a 10-acre animal park where the deer run the show... and they know exactly who has snacks. The moment you walk in with a cup of feed, you instantly become the most popular human in the entire forest. Deer appear out of nowhere like fuzzy little snack detectives. One minute you're calmly feeding one deer, the next you're surrounded by a polite but very determined deer mob inspecting your pockets, shoelaces, and possibly your soul. And honestly... it's amazing. The deer are incredibly friendly and will happily eat right out of your hand. You can pet them, feed them, and get pictures that look like you're starring in your own Disney movie. But it's not just deer. There are wallabies, llamas, goats, bison, peacocks, and other animals wandering around the farm, so it feels like a mini zoo adventure where everything is up close and interactive. Admission is very reasonable for such a unique experience: * Adults: about $20 * Seniors: about $17 * Children: about $12 * Kids under 3 are free They are open daily from 9 AM - 6 PM (spring/summer) and 10 AM - 5 PM in winter, making it an easy stop if you're heading to the Grand Canyon or exploring Williams. And don't skip the gift shop when you walk in. It's actually really cool and full of niche treasures -- crystals, jewelry, souvenirs, gifts, and all kinds of fun stuff. It's the kind of place where you walk in thinking you'll just look around and somehow leave holding crystals, a bracelet, and a Route 66 souvenir you didn't know you needed. The whole place has this quirky, old-school Arizona roadside attraction vibe that makes it even more charming. If you love animals, road trip stops, or the idea of being gently harassed by extremely adorable deer for snacks... this place is a must. Overall Rating: 10/10 would absolutely get surrounded by snack-seeking deer again.

My first time was way back in the 70's (ouch) and it's still one thing I have to share with my grandkids ! If it's something that you're adding to your vacation or a quick local adventure then it's great. Employees are great friendly and ready to answer questions. I will say it's a little pricey. One adult & a 7 yrs 9 yrs &. 3 small cup of Deer food was $ 77.00 . Advice: don't bring Jack/ shirt around your waist, deer will chew on it. Can't bring a bag of any kind, purse, or fanny pack. Deer farm has cubbies for personal belongings. Wear closed toe shoes. Dear farm has washing hand area bathrooms.. no food concession stand. If you want more details on how long it will take you to walk-through go on their website. There are other animals to look at reindeer camel, porcupine, small monkeys, cows, and a few more animals.

Our family had such a great time here! We booked the wallaby encounter in advance and loved it. There were two wallabies we could pet, feed, and even hold--such a unique experience! Don't forget to bring some quarters for deer treats. It was amazing to be able to pet the deer up close. We can't wait to visit again! Tip: The deer were very curious and nibbled at our shoelaces and clothes, so maybe skip wearing your favorite new outfit.

Grand Canyon Deer Farm a must see for anyone who loves animals. Located east of Williams, Arizona, off the I40. This deer farm offers a unique experience with friendly deer, reindeer, and other animals like bison, wallabies, and a camel. For an adult admission is $20 . Cost around $50 for two people with food to feed the deer. You are not allowed to bring in any food from the outside to prevent harm to the animals. The deer follow and swarm around you. Very sweet and gentle. The entire staff here are some of the bests you will find around Williams, so friendly, helpful and all have a love for animals. Only took about 45 minutes to spend time there , but it was well worth it to visited .

Always a fun stop! The Grand Canyon Deer Farm has the friendliest stuff and a bunch of beautiful animals to visit and pet. You'll see pot belly pigs, bison, deer, zonkey, and so much more! My family and I have stopped here twice in the last year. It's so fun to feed the animals and perfect for families, individuals, couples or a group of friends! Support the local form and be ready to be met with dozens of deer!

The Deer Farm is a magical experience that allows you to feed the deer and see some amazing animals up close! I came here as a small child and today we took my two toddlers to have the same memory. The Grand Canyon Deer Farm is a bit pricey $20 per adult and $12 per kid plus purchase of food, but it's worth it. The Deer are all over and very excited to get nibbles of whatever you have to offer (watch your shoelaces and your back ) . The kids absolutely loved it and also had the chance to see some of "Santa's reindeer" as well as peacocks, zonkies (yes a zebra and a donkey had some good times), sloths, hedgehogs, camels, wallabies, mini horses, and a few other incredible animals! It was fun for the adults too! When you're done feeding you definitely need a good wash (that's a pro tip btw). The Deer Farm is a Williams staple that will hopefully be around for a very long time! It was a wonderful family memory that I hope will continue through generations.

Did a day trip from Las Vegas JUST to hang out here for the day. Spent 6 hours feeding and enjoying all the deers and other animals. Was by far the best animal therapy, I needed.I even made a deer best friend that hung around me the whole day. He took a nap while I sat a pet him. Best experience. Must swing by and enjoy these amazing animal

Staff is super friendly and so are the deer! They offer cups of feed for $4 or $6, and you are able to keep the cup as a souvenir. I would recommend each person in your party has a cup of feed, because that is how you are going to become the most popular person on the farm! The deer will be all over you if you have food, and they may nip at your shirts and shoelaces, but they were very gentle. I would highly recommend wearing clothes that you are okay with getting dirty and possibly torn! Don't wear any loose articles of clothing, have anything hanging out of your pockets, and tuck in your shoelaces! Bring some quarters, as well, because there are dispensers around the farm with corn for the deer (we noticed that some of them preferred just the corn and did not care for the regular feed). We couldn't have loved our experience more and will be back again! Bonus points for the employee of the month, the lovely calico cat that was in the gift shop! She was a gem! 5/5 would recommend for families and animal lovers! You can easily spend a couple hours here.

The Grand Canyon Deer Farm is, in essence, a glorified petting zoo. And at $20 per person just for admission (plus extra for feed), it feels overpriced for what you actually get. While I appreciated the chance to feed the deer (definitely the highlight), the overall setup left me uneasy. Mama and baby deers are kept in the main petting area, yet guests are told not to approach because the mothers are aggressive. If that's the case, they really shouldn't be so accessible to the public at all. Safety and animal welfare both feel compromised there. Several of the larger animals in pens had visible open sores, which I'm guessing are from bugs, but it was still pretty upsetting to see and raised questions about the level of care these animals are receiving. That said, I'm giving two stars instead of one because the pen area staff were genuinely lovely...warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about information regarding the animals. They were the best part of the visit. At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're traveling with very young kids who will enjoy tossing kibble at deer and won't notice the concerning details.

OMG! This is a must see place when you're visiting the area for the day. I definitely recommend come first thing when it opens, I'd say after 15-20 of being with the deer, it suddenly got crowded, it was nice to experience it when there weren't as many people in the beginning. They have such a beautiful variety of animals and those deer, they were so cute!! That was the closest I have ever been to a deer and I could actually pet them. They really do come towards full throttle! It was so funny! We got the small $6 cup, I saw some people with bigger ones but the small cup worked out just fine for us, I made it last the full circle walk. They also have fun facts about all the animals and the people working there were so friendly and were happy to answer any questions. The only place I noticed where you could wash your hands was in the restrooms inside, I never saw an outdoor sink to wash your hands. It's kind of a short quick visit, maybe 45 minutes is about how long we were there, I recommend add more to your itinerary of things to do while you're in the area. They also have a cute cat that the kids loved!! Will definitely be coming back!

Despite the long time away, this is a spot I have recommended so many times over the years to those traveling through AZ, particularly with kids. It was cool to see how the place has updated over time. We arrived shortly after opening and started with the drive thru area. Either they no longer to the guided tour through the radio or the staff forgot to mention it, but we had a fun time regardless looking for the animals in each section. The arctic wolves were the coolest part, they were all howling together, it was almost spooky. The bears themselves were less active than previous visit but it was also warmer weather, being summer. The walk through area seems greatly increased since my last visit! Several enclosures to view, a grassy area with scheduled animal talks/demos, and multiple food/drink options have been added - or at least I was less aware of them before. I grabbed coffee at a truck, they also had various alcoholic drinks for parents and snacks for kids. There's also a beer garden area, several booths with carnival-like food tempting the kids with sugary snacks, and a restaurant in the main lodge building - note that you can dine in the canyon OR they have covered outside patio seating with a view to the big cats enclosure. While we did not eat here, we did interact with several staff who were friendly and helpful about giving directions or answering questions about the animals. There are also several photo opp spots throughout, which is a nice touch. TLDR: Make time to stop here if you're driving through AZ, especially if you have kids - but even adults will enjoy a visit here.

There isn't another experience in Arizona where you can see free-roaming bears, bison, elk, wolves, deer, etc., so up close and personal, all within half a mile of each other. I guess you could go out in the woods, but I doubt the experience would end quite as well. The park is separated into two areas: the driving area and the walking area. I believe both are optional and you can do one or the other. I'd recommend doing both because they're both unique in their own ways. The driving area is a 20-30 minute slowwww drive around the park, where the animals are sectioned off in free-roaming areas. They all seem incredibly well-cared for, and are pretty accustomed to the constant flow of cars with people stopping to stare at them. In fact, in the wolf section, the wolf pack actually got up and crossed the road right in front of us. One actually stopped within a few feet of our car and just kinda hung out staring at as with a "whatcha lookin at bruh" vibe for a minute or two before scampering off. It's a little harder to see the animals in certain areas, like the black bear section. This isn't any fault of the parks - black bears blend in pretty well with trees. We still managed to see quite a few, and even saw one bear at the end jump in a little pond for a quick dip! The walking section is pretty small, but packed with really cool exhibits that let you get very close (albeit still very safe) to the animals. We were within 10 feet of an adult grizzly, which is an experience neither my kids or I will ever forget! We loved the bobcats, leopards, elks, and otters too! This place isn't some janky, questionable side of the road zoo. The park is clean, the employees were extremely friendly, and the animals looked very healthy and happy in their spacious areas. You can also tell the employees genuinely care about the animals, and are incredibly invested in educating the park guests about all the magnificent creatures. Oh, it's also very reasonably priced! Kids under 3 or 4 are free, so for my 4 year old, 2 year old, and two adults, I think the price of admission was about $60-70. Given, we went on a weekday so prices were a bit cheaper. Even still, I recall weekend pricing only being $5-10 per person more expensive. Truly a great deal for memories that are priceless! If you're in Flagstaff or the surrounding areas and are looking for a fun way to spend 2-3 hours, Bearizona is calling your name!

Pro-tip: If you come on your birthday month, it's only $12 for admission which is substantial savings! I booked the expedition tour which included the general admission, Super Mog tour, and a chance to feed a tiger. The Super Mog tour is an hour long ride in an all terrain open-aired truck. You have to be at least 5yo and able to climb up the steps to get into the vehicle. They offer 2 times, 11AM or 2PM. Because it was June, I opted for the 11AM tour bc of the heat. Even though there was no AC, it was fully shaded and we didn't feel too hot. Our tour guide Robby was incredible and gave each of us a small stalk of willow-like leaves to feed the giraffes. We had the option to feed them from our hands or if we're brave, our mouths! We started off on the super mog tour visiting some apex predators like their mountain lion, hyena, grizzly bear and Robby would tell their stories and also do a live feeding. We also drove past their rhino, lions, zebras and much more. Then we got to feed the giraffes as they walked up to our vehicle. It definitely had more of a natural feel vs a zoo. Then we got some snacks, walked around for a little bit to see their smaller mammals (sloth, lemurs, marmoset) and reptiles. Lastly, we attended the tiger splash show. It was as adorable show watching the tigers play with their trainers using various toys, balloons, and meat. After the show, we got to feed a tiger through a special feeding tube and you can also request a picture with the lion. Out of Africa is also know for their popular predator zip lines where you have views of the animals and the Verde Valley. We didn't do this bc my kiddo is still quite young. We got the chance to run into the owner Prayeri who described how many of the animals were raised at a young age or rescued. There is a strong emphasis on the human-animal bond and trust at this park. Love that mission and much love to all the animals!
