    Feeding a wallaby
    Aini R.

Our family had such a great time here! We booked the wallaby encounter in advance and loved it. There were two wallabies we could pet, feed, and even hold--such a unique experience! Don't forget to bring some quarters for deer treats. It was amazing to be able to pet the deer up close. We can't wait to visit again! Tip: The deer were very curious and nibbled at our shoelaces and clothes, so maybe skip wearing your favorite new outfit.

Grand Canyon Deer Farm a must see for anyone who loves animals. Located east of Williams, Arizona, off the I40. This deer farm offers a unique experience with friendly deer, reindeer, and other animals like bison, wallabies, and a camel. For an adult admission is $20 . Cost around $50 for two people with food to feed the deer. You are not allowed to bring in any food from the outside to prevent harm to the animals. The deer follow and swarm around you. Very sweet and gentle. The entire staff here are some of the bests you will find around Williams, so friendly, helpful and all have a love for animals. Only took about 45 minutes to spend time there , but it was well worth it to visited .

Always a fun stop! The Grand Canyon Deer Farm has the friendliest stuff and a bunch of beautiful animals to visit and pet. You'll see pot belly pigs, bison, deer, zonkey, and so much more! My family and I have stopped here twice in the last year. It's so fun to feed the animals and perfect for families, individuals, couples or a group of friends! Support the local form and be ready to be met with dozens of deer!

The Deer Farm is a magical experience that allows you to feed the deer and see some amazing animals up close! I came here as a small child and today we took my two toddlers to have the same memory. The Grand Canyon Deer Farm is a bit pricey $20 per adult and $12 per kid plus purchase of food, but it's worth it. The Deer are all over and very excited to get nibbles of whatever you have to offer (watch your shoelaces and your back ) . The kids absolutely loved it and also had the chance to see some of "Santa's reindeer" as well as peacocks, zonkies (yes a zebra and a donkey had some good times), sloths, hedgehogs, camels, wallabies, mini horses, and a few other incredible animals! It was fun for the adults too! When you're done feeding you definitely need a good wash (that's a pro tip btw). The Deer Farm is a Williams staple that will hopefully be around for a very long time! It was a wonderful family memory that I hope will continue through generations.

Did a day trip from Las Vegas JUST to hang out here for the day. Spent 6 hours feeding and enjoying all the deers and other animals. Was by far the best animal therapy, I needed.I even made a deer best friend that hung around me the whole day. He took a nap while I sat a pet him. Best experience. Must swing by and enjoy these amazing animal

The Grand Canyon Deer Farm is, in essence, a glorified petting zoo. And at $20 per person just for admission (plus extra for feed), it feels overpriced for what you actually get. While I appreciated the chance to feed the deer (definitely the highlight), the overall setup left me uneasy. Mama and baby deers are kept in the main petting area, yet guests are told not to approach because the mothers are aggressive. If that's the case, they really shouldn't be so accessible to the public at all. Safety and animal welfare both feel compromised there. Several of the larger animals in pens had visible open sores, which I'm guessing are from bugs, but it was still pretty upsetting to see and raised questions about the level of care these animals are receiving. That said, I'm giving two stars instead of one because the pen area staff were genuinely lovely...warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about information regarding the animals. They were the best part of the visit. At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're traveling with very young kids who will enjoy tossing kibble at deer and won't notice the concerning details.

What a lovely place. The deers were adorable and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Must visit

OMG! This is a must see place when you're visiting the area for the day. I definitely recommend come first thing when it opens, I'd say after 15-20 of being with the deer, it suddenly got crowded, it was nice to experience it when there weren't as many people in the beginning. They have such a beautiful variety of animals and those deer, they were so cute!! That was the closest I have ever been to a deer and I could actually pet them. They really do come towards full throttle! It was so funny! We got the small $6 cup, I saw some people with bigger ones but the small cup worked out just fine for us, I made it last the full circle walk. They also have fun facts about all the animals and the people working there were so friendly and were happy to answer any questions. The only place I noticed where you could wash your hands was in the restrooms inside, I never saw an outdoor sink to wash your hands. It's kind of a short quick visit, maybe 45 minutes is about how long we were there, I recommend add more to your itinerary of things to do while you're in the area. They also have a cute cat that the kids loved!! Will definitely be coming back!

Lifetime goal feeding wallabys complete! My kidults had an amazing time feeding wallabys, petting them, playing with them. Feeding the deer was a lil crazy as they basically swarmed us, and it was all worth it to hear them giggle and laugh like a little kid. Definitely go! Very very very hot in the gift shop is my only complaint. We even got to see Pumpkin, the gift shop cat! Definitely recommend strong by here for a few hours and get the extra experience! It's worth it!!

Such precious creatures! Very cute place, maybe a bit pricey but totally worth it. Only detractor is the employees could've been a bit more whimsical, given the excitement of the experience, but maybe I just came on an off-day. Nobody was rude, just a bit curt. All in all, positive experience :)

This is more than a Deer Farm! Come see what other animals they have, like a ZONKEY! Have you ever heard of or seen one? ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/grand-canyon-deer-farm-williams-2?select=D9mNG1O-8kANFJlroAZ3VA ) The Deer Farm is located about 25 miles West of Flagstaff, AZ. There is free parking in their lot. They also have spaces to accommodate larger vehicles. If you brought a lunch, you can eat it at the picnic tables out front. No food is allowed in the farm except for the feed cups you purchase. I remember coming here about 20 years ago when our children were in Middle & Elementary School! I'm glad we came again this year, even though it was just the two of us! This farm has been here since 1969 and has had three different pairs of owners. Be sure to check out their business hours. They only vary by an hour during winter & summer hours. They're closed on Thanksgiving & Christmas Day as well as if the weather is favorable! You enter through the Gift Shop & exit there, too. We purchased 2 tickets at $16 a piece and bought a $6 large cup of food to feed for the animals waiting for us. Mainly the deer eat it. Your ticket is good for the entire day. You can leave and return if you show your ticket. One might balk at the $16 admission fee or think it's too steep, but remember that this money helps maintain the animals .... like their food, vets, and caregivers. TIP: Bring quarters for the machine that dispenses corn. You can feed this to the reindeer and other animals that like it. It's really cool to feed the animals! The deer seem to eat nonstop! They will follow you and demand food! There are a few animals on special diets that have signs on their enclosures letting you know not to feed them. Unlike the traditional zoos, you can touch most of the animals if they are close to the fence. However, at your own risk! Be careful! There is an option to schedule and pay for up close encounters with animals like the porcupines, wallaby, coatimundi, pigs, and mini horses. This is educational as well as fun and interactive experience! There are information cards in front of the animal enclosures. Besides the multitude of eager deer, there are African Crested Porcupines, Peacocks & Peahens, Reindeer, Goats, White-nosed Coatimundi, Marmosets, mini horses & donkeys. There are one of each of these animals: Bennett's Wallaby, Patagonia Mara, Alpacas, Bison, Camel, Llama, Zebu, Zonkey, and Umbrella Cockatoo. Can't forget the sweet, loveable Calico cat that greets you and wants lots of petting! You'll also hear Mozart talking. He's in the room near the door, but as soon as you walk out to the animals, slide open the window and have a chat with him! I have seen pictures of pigs, but i missed them! Not sure how I managed that, or if they weren't there. There might be another animal or two I forgot, too! Don't wear nice or loose clothing!! The deer like to chew on what they can! I remember a deer trying to eat my long hair when I was there many years ago! I put it in a pony-tail this time! The ground consists of dirt paths and if there's any moisture on the ground, it can become muddy. Your shoes may get dirty! I was especially happy to see that they use dogs (Anatolian Shepherd Dogs) to police the perimeter where the animals are kept! After watching nature shows on TV about dogs keeping animals safe, I know they will be guarded well! When you're done with the animals, there's a hand washing station complete with soap & paper towels. After washing our hands, we went back into the Gift Shop and browsed. There are all sorts of cute things to buy! We had an enjoyable time here!

This was our first time visiting a drive-through wildlife park, and we had an absolute blast. The process was easy--just drive in and enjoy the scenery while animals casually go about their day like they own the place (which, to be fair, they kind of do). We were able to see so many animals up close, including deer, elk, bison, bears, foxes, and more. Almost all of the animals were out and active, which made the experience even better. Seeing a massive bison just casually standing a few feet away from your car is both exciting and a great reminder that Mother Nature lifts weights. Our kids had an amazing time and couldn't stop talking about everything they saw. After finishing the drive-through portion, we explored the walk-through area and got to see even more animals. One of our favorite parts was the live animal show put on by the staff. They did a fantastic job, and it was so much fun watching the birds, along with a porcupine and a raccoon, come out and show off their talents. The entire park was clean, organized, family-friendly, and well worth the visit. If you're visiting the Williams area or heading to the Grand Canyon, Bearizona is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. Highly recommended for families and animal lovers. Five stars!

I really like that the park has both a drive-through section and a walk-through section included with admission. The drive-through part is the highlight. You get to stay in your vehicle while driving through different animal areas, and seeing animals like bison, deer, burros, wolves, and bears up close is a great experience. The wolves and bears are especially impressive, and it is easy to see why they require windows to stay up in certain areas. Some of the animals come right up near the vehicle, which makes it feel very personal and exciting while still being safe. The walk-through area is also very well done. It gives you a chance to slow down, walk around, and see more animals up close. The exhibits are clean, the park is well kept, and the animals appear to be cared for. There are also nice areas to explore, a large gift shop, places to grab a snack or drink, and plenty to look at besides just the drive-through portion. This is a great place for families, kids, visitors, and even locals who want something fun to do near Williams or on the way to the Grand Canyon. Depending on the time of day and year, some animals may be more active than others, so it can be worth driving through more than once if time allows. Overall, Bearizona is a fun, unique, and memorable Arizona attraction. The combination of the drive-through wildlife experience and the walk-through zoo makes it well worth the visit. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Williams or the Grand Canyon area.

When you arrive, you first pass through the farm market. They have lot of shelves filled with locally made pasta sauces, honeys, salsas, wines, and fridges/freezers with meats and pies. They have a little cafe there to order sandwiches or to grab a take away box with fruits or veggies or a pastry. There is a little table to sit down and eat. All of the staff in the store is super friendly. When you walk through to the farm, you first come to the chicken coop. There are chickens walking around outside and we even saw some eggs there! Next to the chickens is an enclosure with goats. There are food dispensers there if you want to feed them. There is a greenhouse close by as well. When you walk past the goat and chicken enclosures, you pass by some play structures for kids and then behind that there are rows of crops that you can pick from (you might want to pick up a basket from the store before heading out there if you are planning on picking a lot!) there are rows of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, okra, and I'm sure there is more too. When we came back in from the farm, we ordered some sandwiches for lunch. They were all very good! Since I came here all the way from Phoenix, I would have liked to have seen more farm animals and I was really hoping too that the "grain train" I had seen in some of the photos would have been available to ride.
