The amount of inflammation that I had, which caused me so much pain, and the swelling in my legs made it hard to see my ankles. Since I do not like needles and not a fan of medicine, I initially was very nervous my first visit. I recently completed the reset detox diet that Dr. Bae recommended and couldn't be happier after losing 10lbs in just 9 days! The 2 week program flew by and was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be from the minute I committed to the program. As soon as the free consultation begins, Dr. Bae will measure your weight, body water, BMI, Body Fat Mass, Lean body mass, and etc. Through a revolutionary FDA Approved method via InBody machine which can precisely measure individual body compositions. Along with the process and intake of herbal medicine and acupuncture with light cardio and some will power, this is probably the most effective diet without any Yo-Yo effect as long as you stick to the transition program given if you want to lose a few pounds the healthy way. Dr Pearl Bae knows her craft very well. I came here because of tendinitis or sprained muscle issue in my right torso. I had received a prescription of Ibuprofen and a "muscle relaxer" from a previous physician that did absolutely nothing except for numb the pain at times. When I couldn't even turn over in my sleep because I would wake up in pain, I knew I had to try something different. My friend, Gina, who works at PSE&G recommended Bliss for acupuncture. I arrived in pain and could barely turn-over on my stomach after the 1st round of needles. Then Pearl did a second round of needles and then an acupressure massage. I almost cried and was breathing heavy while she did the massage. Dr Bae was very sympathetic and understanding. She didn't even charge me for the first session. The next morning I woke up and the pain was significantly reduced. I kept feeling much better after the 2nd night and then went back for another round of acupuncture. This time I experienced a lot less pain and kept improving with each session. The acupuncture itself is not painful at all. In fact, it's probably the acupressure massage that makes this place a standout. I'm definitely a believer in acupuncture. This was only my 2nd time ever trying acupuncture. Hands down the best Acupuncture practice in town! I've been to various acupuncture clinics over NY/NJ and by far Dr. Pearl is the BEST! I love Bliss Newark! I recommend Bliss for anyone who needs pain management and relief. My daughter and I have been getting physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture and acupressure treatments for almost two months and we've felt so much relief. Every single staff member there is so sweet and knowledgeable about our needs and their skill. We love Dr. Bae, she welcomes all with open arms. She will take care of you by asking how you are feeling when you come in so she can customize your treatment for the day. Helen gives the best acupressure massages and really puts her elbow into it so your knots melt away. Mona Lisa (PT) gives such a wonderful and comfortable therapy experience and will always give you daily pain and recovery management tips. Dr. Bae is wooonderful. I'd been going to another clinic for acupuncture as I underwent IVF. I changed due to the acupuncturist taking a leave and really just stumbled upon BeAti because it was conveniently located and took my insurance. How fortunate was I for all of this? Dr. Bae is patient, knowledgeable, and kind. Her scheduling is flexible and Ashley, her receptionist, is just so pleasant. I had previously been pretty underwhelmed by acupuncture, didn't really understand what the big fuss was about but did it to just add to the strategies to achieve a pregnancy. However, going to BeAti really became a refuge during very difficult times. I found Dr. Pearl through my husband, who I had shared wanting to begin acupuncture. Mentioned, he knew of a doctor and we went to meet her in her office. She explained how and why acupuncture is used. We share our desire to expand our family. She began treating my body with the proper area needed. Bringing balance and blood flood to those areas. Years of pain was slowly being relived as I continued my session starting with three times a week, then two times and continuing now, one time per week. It's the best decision we made. I've been going twice weekly for accupuncture/accupressure for over a month, and was given the opportunity to do the detox program, to help with my aches and pains, as well as weight loss. The program is definitely for the disciplined, but with encouragement and a great support staff, it's been wonderful with a 20 lbs weight loss in 5 weeks. I have tried their 2 week Detox program. Even though I wasn't intaking solid food during their detox stage, the drinks kept me full and awake. I use to wake up tired and lazy but during while I was on the program, I felt great waking up on time and energized throughout the whole day. My body fat percentage decreased and it is still continuing to go down. Not only I lost 8lbs at the end of two weeks, it made me realize I wanted to continue the healthy life style. I have been going to Dr. Pearl for about 3 months. I have chronic neck/shoulder pain and psoriasis. Before starting the treatment with Dr.Pearl my neck was always so stiff and painful. After 2-3 sessions, neck and shoulder felt much better! Also my psoriasis improved after each session and after about 12 sessions of treatment, the dry skin became smooth.
