Although it was beyond hours, Susan greeted us, answered questions, and, in reality, comforted both of us. She also offered any help she could give to our situation. Indecision kept us busy for two more weeks, but decision made, we called her. She and a volunteer came on a Sunday and collected our surplus and our cat, taking time from her weekend to let us say goodbye, assuring his care, and thanking us for the privilege of being able to help. Fantastic, caring organization. We are indepted, and will be in their support list for a long time. If you are searching for a new furry friend, give them a call. I met with Chris who really took the time to get to know me and talk about the dog I was going to see before bringing him out. I really like how you can meet the dog in a calm environment (out in front of their house under the shade). This rescue is run by a family of four very committed people. They keep the dogs in a home on a large lot; the dogs are not kenneled. The animals are really in a "home" like environment until they find their forever families. They like to keep in touch with adopters, which is awesome and really shows that they care about placing dogs in the perfect home. I would definitely recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt a dog!

My little guy was scheduled to be killed because he was so scared. HOME took him in, cleaned him up and took care of him until I met him a month later. I went to an adoption day to look for another dog and saw my future babe in a corner licking his cage. It was love at first sight. He was the missing piece to our family. I can tell he was house trained by HOME and also treated very well. They made sure to interview us and make sure we kept in touch with them to let them know how it worked out. He has no behavioral issues, no health issues and they transferred his registration and microchip into my name after a month. They make sure their dogs don't end up on the street again. This organization also provides extensive medical care for injured dogs out of pocket. I always donate whenever I can. I will never forget the immense gift they gave me just by saving the life of a dog I would come to love more than anything. I would highly recommend this rescue!

I have adopted numerous animals and always kept them all. We realized because the animals were not getting along, it would be best to return the dog so that she could get the family she deserved. The owner was extremely rude and angry. Seven months after I had written them a check, she cashed it. When I emailed her questioning why she waited, she belittled me and told me I broke the contract. She told me my dogs were the issue and proceeded to pick a fight. In the end I told her to keep her $$. Do not adopt little pets from this angry person. I hope she treats the pets better than she treats people. I have never encountered someone so angry and rude. She is extremely triggered and these little rescues deserve better.

We were shocked novody else was interested in this sweet boy and his foster eas very kind and informative to help us make sure he was a good fit for our home. They were also very patient with us running around to grab supplies. While the adoption fee is a bit higher than some rescues there is a tax break and it's nice that majority if the shots were paid and planned along with the neutering. Andy came home healthy with us and immediately took to his big sister who he loves so much. It was nice that he had spent time with his siblings so he was used to having another dog around and is just a great pup for our family! Can't imagine not having adopted him the day we met him.

Turns out she was superbly able to answer my questions about his: size, history, dog friendliness status.. because, as a bonus, he is her favorite shelter dog (don't tell the others). It gets better, she needed to bring some kittens to 2 petsmarts and said she could bring the pup along so I could meet him much closer to home!! He is beautiful, obviously very well taken care of and loved and tonight I plan to head back with husband and dogs to adopt him.
